MandaPanda270Made me feel like I was there! Thanks for covering the sights, sounds, and tastes of Le Tour. You guys are great together with your quirky observations and wit. Love it!!

kalschedMostly blatherI’ve never heard so much blather with so few insights in a single podcast. Wow.

slowbernMore spoilers in episode titles!“Taking it day-Bar-det.” It’s an episode title so clever that it’s worth spoiling the race for anyone that didn’t have a chance to watch live. Thanks for all you do guys!

howboutthisnickne? How did the bike industry get into deep trouble?I worked in purchasing at one of the company’s mentioned many times in these episodes. Throughout summer 2020 I heard company leadership repeatedly say this was the new normal in the bike industry. I even heard the term “bicycle renaissance” thrown around. The directive was that purchasing needed to order everything they could. It didn’t matter what it was, but it. Those of us who spoke up saying this wasn’t going to last were shut down. I quit at the end of 2020 because I thought the inventory issues were going to come to a head in 2021. I was a year early.

yoga.ahaFinally! You guys guilted me into a 5 star review. Dane Cash and Cosmo both have lurching vocal cadences kind of like Captain Kirk, it’s often hard to listen to. It is also weird to talk more about what you are going to talk about than what you are talking about: this mainly is annoying in the formerly great, How The Race Was Won. In other words you don’t need to say what you are going to talk about in the podcast, just talk about it! You have had a balled man balling listening to the Alison Jackson interview, so excellent….Fascinating discussion of tactics too…. Best race of the last 5 years for sure.

DavidMLewisMost comprehensive and entertaining cycling podcastI love the depth they go into, and the fact that they are entirely member-supported. The technical articles are superb and they go to some effort to highlight perspectives that are not necessarily their own (i.e. people who might want to start riding). The racing news is often fascinating even though I don’t generally follow racing. Highly recommended, and yes, I ponied up to keep the team in instant ramen (and Dave in tools).

CoasterFamilyGreat variety and knowledgeEvery podcast is excellent! The team is engaging, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoy the Geek Warning episodes. I am happy to pay for this content to keep it flowing. Journalism FTW!
-

KillJoy!The Authentic Authority of Cycling What’s WhatAs a reader/member since there EARLY blog days, and now Escape Collective member I can say that this camp continues to set the standard for cycling info. Are they perfect… no. Silly at times… yes. Opinionated? Yup! But there’s a simplicity to them sharing years of knowledge and experience that’s refreshing. They don’t take themselves too seriously while understanding that they their voice carries weight. I’t good to see the way they’ve grown and continue to cover a bit more of the bike world here and there.
-
GabrielMejiasBest cycling content out thereThis is by far the best show I listen and I’m not even a full cycling fan.
-
MrdamanFun and InsightfulGood commentary on pro cycling, recreational riding, etc. always a pleasant listen.

CyclingprofA collective of cycling experts and devoteesIf you love all things cycling but hate pop-up ads and targeted emails filing your inbox, this is the place to go. There are ex-pros mixing it up with and as journalists who speak to everything cycling - tech talk, race talk and lovable goofy discussions about the UCI and our favorite racers. In this overly click-baited world, this is one solution that requires your listen and possibly your joining their collective. Long-live the collective. Subscribe now.

BrMcGBest cycling contentI pick and choose from some other cycling podcasts but I listen to everything that EC puts out. The podcasts are free but do yourself a favor and get a membership to the site. Great written content, some exclusive member pods, and a pretty cool Discord community. 👍🏻

Boo Boos Ding DongPlease talk about DVI’m disappointed to see that no cycling magazine outlet is talking about the subject matter of domestic violence with the Rohan Dennis story. Ignoring this matter perpetuates abuse. As a woman cyclist, I experience misogyny and sexism repeatedly. Please do an article about this topic and do not sweep this under the rug. Melissa Hoskins endured abuse with this man. She gave up her own career for his. Let’s talk about this dynamic openly. Stop being a “bro” platform and include women’s experience in the peloton if you want to make us feel seen and welcomed and included. These are very real topics we encounter as women in the cycling world. The unequal levels of power in the peloton need to be discussed openly so we can have an opportunity to heal this.

Colorado GoatThey miss the mark on bike industry offeringsI was gonna be snarky at first, but figured that would be of little value. Instead I want to highlight that these guys fail to provide honest reviews of the bikes and tech from the largest ORM’s, and I can’t help but think it’s because their jobs depend on it. They never provide a real critical look at the fact so many modern bikes are not only insanely expensive, but so proprietary as to make them a planned obsolescence play by the bike industry. They never earn listeners about the lack of ability to get a dialed in fit because the cockpits offer little to know adjustment. They never discuss the fact that finding replacement parts could well be impossible now, much less in 3-5 years. They never warn listeners at the likely cost of maintenance for all of the new technology, and how modern bikes have made it so being a home mechanic is close to impossible for the average consumer. They never bring on or critique the likes of Shimano or SRAM for abandoning all of us with pre-disc bikes on the fact that we are looking at difficulty finding higher end replacement options in the future. Do better James and Co. Do you not realize that your a man avenue to make cycling more inclusive, and all you are doing is turning this sport into the enclave of the upper middle class and above. Rather than dump on square taper bottom brackets, maybe instead discuss the benefits for cyclists from a maintenance standpoint. Maybe discuss the benefits from a cost standpoint. This industry is all in on trying to rip-off its entire consumer base, screw over its customers from just a few years ago, and rather than push back as a media outlet on this, you mock older tech and actively have been the mouthpiece for this entire endeavor by the industry.

Ashima7NewbieHello - I’m a complete newbie to cycling and would categorise myself as an ‘armchair cyclist’ - I got hooked on the sport through a few lance armstrong docs and most importantly the Unchained Netflix special. I barely ride myself but have so enjoyed following the grand tours and more from my couch! Your placeholders podcast is hilarious and digestible for beginners. Thanks for all that you do!
-
HeloCoastieGood InformationI have really enjoyed The Geek Warning content. Listening to the details on various topics is up my alley coming from a mechanical background. Keep up with what you have been doing.
-
PmoneeAmazingI was quite bummed when the Cycling Tips podcasts went under because these journalists are so great, informative and funny. Such a blessing to have them all back in a bigger and better way! Please support them because this is a wonderful product!
-
szczrobFun wrap upGreat balance between race talk, history, perspective, and goofy banter. They know their stuff but remain extremely approachable.
-
mn6ajmpNormally very good..Except when Kate Wagner is on, possible the most annoying voice ever on a podcast.
-

Teresa PeckToo much negativitySeems like you guys have some favorites. And you don’t recognize when the time trial was a great race recognizing riders are humans and some are just better than others. Love to see if you guys would work on more positivity instead of negativity.

Rob.RoadieUnbiased bike industry infoIt’s such a breath of fresh air to hear industry experts talking about products, companies and trends in a smart, entertaining and, most importantly, honest way. This group knows what’s REALLY going on, and they tell it like it is. It doesn’t mean they all agree. In fact, the debates re often the best part, but the conversations are always 100% real. I’m very grateful for Escape Collective coming into existence.
-
HXJacobsonInteresting informationGood shows but please pay attention to your levels on the “Pretty Serious” podcast, particularly Dane Cash. Speak into the mic!

-
RUNBIKECOFFEEBEERPro podcast. Hire this crew, sponsor this!Great crew ready to go good listening. Please level the volume of your voices. You sometimes drop into a muffled mumble often in a long, winded sentence when you’re making a key point, then pick up volume again at the end with an exclamation. Makes it hard to listen, to at least in a car. Please and thank you.
