Created by Ed Jenkins, the Keyshawn Solves It podcast is an 8-episode serialized mystery about a 10-year-old African-American boy who inherits a set of keys that can unlock almost any door. With help from his friend Kiki, Keyshawn uses these keys to help solve the mystery of disappearing bikes in his North Minneapolis neighborhood, ensuring that his community’s Juneteenth bike parade can go on. 

Listeners will be introduced to Juneteenth and its origins, as well as to social-emotional “keys to success” such as resilience, self-worth, and responsibility. Geared to children 5-9, Keyshawn Solves It is produced by GBH Kids and distributed by PBS Kids and PRX with funding made possible in part by Black Public Media.

    We stumbled upon this podcast and it instantly drew us in! 2 kiddos age 9 and 5 loved it!! Every car ride would be quiet with anticipation of the next clues and questions getting their brains moving. Absolutely looking forward to more episodes.

    I love this podcast so much. I legit love it more than school yeah that’s not such a big deal but still I hate school man. OK it’s a big thing of me. I write tones of stories and comics especially those comics and I love you so much my birthday present I also got a pair keys and on Halloween I dressed up like Keisha keys with the whole outfit and with my detective smarts and all merchandise goodbye and I even Even even even even I can’t tell that actually I will tell you I’m kidding.     This podcast is my daughter’s favorite, she won’t listen to any others on this app! We haven’t listened to all them together, but this is by far, the best children’s podcast of all time. Even I love it! The characters, the settings, the plot twists, are all just great! So if you have a son/daughter they will love this. The ages I recommend this for are zero to infinity, good for all ages! 👍
