23JMick23A Useful ResourceThought-provoking interviews on topics that are important to Christians…

SpantheworldSeriously fun conversations about things that matterI enjoy the mix of topics I really care about and the fun, long form nature of the program. He often gets his guests to show a side of themselves most of us would never see.

bgh00810RecentLove this podcast(Room or because of this episode should I say no room for nuance.) Even better if you get the Book Rebel to Your Will. Cried through the first two chapters. Raw and real. Thank you brother for your desire to make much of Jesus. My comment to friends recently when I listen, “just keeps getting better.” Every interview seems to be better than the last, does not make sense, each interview is helpful. Also, Hayley Satrom is the female cohost of counseling talk.

thedudewhowrotethisrevewNo room for nuanceGreat segment I’ve really enjoyed these eps. You did Carl Truman dirty but I’ll look past that. There’s a few great pods yall missed Cross Con(all the talks and sessions from the conference each year) Church Politics (the AND campaigns podcast, not always best opinions but holds unity and doctrinal soundness as high values) Church history and theology (10/10 amazing) Thanks for all yall are doing!

Robbie6816Wonderful PodcastThis podcast has quickly become my favorites. The length of the episodes gives more time for diving deeper into the topics!

Ty. TurnerChristendom’s Joe Rogan!Sean DeMars is a sanctified, yet equally witty and fit Joe Rogan. DeMars interviews some of the most influential leaders in the modern day church on topics ranging from books, conferences, history, and personalities. He’s truly doing the Lord’s work and I’m grateful for all I’ve learned!

WillabransA Great Help & JoySince being introduced to “Room for Nuance”, I have gone back and listened to every episode. This podcast is worth your time. Sean DeMars is an evangelical bridge builder. It’s a mix of interviews with friends, and interviews with sometimes unlikely parties for the sake of building bridges for the glory of God! Not your stuffy Christian podcast… now, I’m wanting a podcast weekly…

C Murphy 82The podcast you didn’t know you needed! If you’re not already listening to Room for Nuance, do yourself a favor and hit play on an episode—any episode. Sean is the kind of host who makes you feel like you’re just hanging out with an old friend who somehow knows everything about everything. He’s funny, he’s warm, and he has a gift for making even the most random topics ridiculously interesting. Also, his book recommendations? Impeccable. (My to-read list is both thankful and overwhelmed.) One of my favorite parts of the show is Sean’s connection with whoever is behind the scenes. Occasionally, he’ll crack up at some inside joke you’ll never understand—but somehow, you’ll laugh anyway. It’s oddly comforting, like being the third wheel in the best way possible. And while not every guest turns the show into a theological masterclass (though some definitely come close), Sean has a way of making every conversation feel worthwhile. You’ll almost always leave with something to ponder—or at the very least, a new way to think about something you hadn’t considered before. It’s the kind of podcast that sticks with you, in the best way.

The Yung TheologianThe Joe Rogan Podcast but Christian without the Weed!!!In the world of Christian podcasts, there are many different types of formats. Some are very casual, looking to approach subjects from a very lighthearted manner. Others are going to be super Duper technical deep dives into theology and philosophy. However, this podcast is basically Joe Rogan but robustly Christian and definitely no psychedelic drugs. The long form format has been very helpful to hear guests just spill out everything have in a very approachable format. Another plus about this podcast has been the fact that Sean is willing to talking to anyone who says yes. The fact that he has interviewed brothers and sister from various Evangelical Christian “camps” has been refreshing. Highly recommended and five stars is just an obvious grade.
-
andytreeceInformative podcastGreat long-form podcast. Sean is a good interviewer and explores several topics with each guest. The result is you obtain insight into each guest’s thinking, life, ministry and testimony.

BJStrobelEdifying, Real, and UniqueRoom for Nuance has become one of my favorite podcasts, and I listen to a pretty good bit of podcasts. Some of my favorite aspects are: 1. The good mix of theology and personal stories. 2. How the person being interviewed usually shares their testimony. It makes them less celebrity-like, and more “like the rest of us”. 3. It’s doesn’t really have a niche that it sticks too. Meaning, when I open my podcasts app up, and everyone is talking about the same thing, Room for Nuance typically isn’t doing that. They set their own agenda, not the latest cultural trend or political event. 4. I usually leave each episode loving the Lord and His church more; thankful that He’s provided so many unique people with so many different spiritual gifts for the building up of His body. 5. Sean is just who he is. He uses his resources for the rest of us, and He won’t shrink back from the hard questions and awkward silences. That’s rare in the podcast world. Give this podcast a try. You won’t regret it!

Builder25My new favoriteLong-form interviews sounds like a sluggish format, and it can be, but not here. Sean gets great guests, asks very compelling questions, and maintains a nimble, interesting pace. I only discovered this podcast a few days ago, but it zoomed to the top of my list. Very thankful for this content.

TaJaCa61The Al Mohler interview is 🔥🔥🔥Listening to a 2+ interview was never appealing until I started listening the Room for Nuance! I love it! Basically the Joe Rogan Experience for conservative Christians (probably).
-
Linsky 2I’m proud to be one of the 12Sean, thank you brother for your hard work. Along with Life and Books and Everything, this is one of my top two podcasts. I’m glad it was recommended on Pastors Talk or I’d never have known about it!
-
SilentEcho93Great questions, and just the right lengthI love this podcast! Sean asks great questions that really get the speaker talking deeply about the subject matter. I am also thankful for a long-form podcast, that covers all those extras about a particular topic. It seems most are not long enough to really do it justice. The host's sense of humor is great too, and really seems to set the tone for an engaging conversation. My only complaint is that there isn't a new one every day!

Hidden_SymmetryLacking in any study and nuanceFor a podcast that claims to have nuance, I was disappointed after listening to the Doug Wilson’s interview. Ignoring the numerous ecclesiastical reports from the entire NAPARC world, DeMars simply dismissed what the real reformed, confessional churchmen and theologians have to say about federal vision and on why these councils (probably totaling hundreds of elders and churchmen from various confessional denominations) consider Federal Vision a serious theological error and heresy that strikes at the heart of the gospel. For his dismissal of the wise council of many and opposing views, it is just hard to see how this podcast exhibits “nuance” in the first place.
-
nickname1002EdifyingI’m always helped by Sean’s good questions, love for the truth, and desire to serve the church.
-
NOBTS GradGracious and ConvictionalI have come to expect gracious yet convictional conversations from 9 Marks guys, and this interview did not disappoint. I have friends with strong convictions which have sometimes put undue chasms between us. This episode helped me think through the right hills to die on and assess what conflicts are serious and which ones are silly.

TH8 in progressGood, long-form interview podcastGot 3 hours for an interview? Well, Sean does. He takes his time. Fun, thoughtful and insightful interviews with a variety of guests. Encouraging as a Christ-follower. Enjoy.

Jack in the BodiaEdifying and EnjoyableThis podcast has been so fun to listen to after long days of language study. It has also been spiritually edifying to hear a wide range of guests share about the Lord working in their lives and their ministries. I love hearing about what books were influential in their life and look forward to future interviews.
-
Mason from OhioWell NamedI will often listen to edifying podcasts from various pastors, ministry leaders, thought leaders, etc. and wish they would or could say more on a certain topic. This show is able to do that. Sean asks great questions and the length allows space to really parse out topics that become practically helpful.
-
B12flozSuper EncouragingThis podcast has encouraged me so much as a normal guy in a normal church with a normal job. And the Simeon bio that Dylan was talking about has to be the classic reprint by Moule. Also one of my favorites.
-
DFWLAWGreat Podcast!I love listening to Sean. His style is great and his opinions are always interesting. Sean is an awesome interviewer and his pacing and light humor keep things engaging. The long form format is a big plus. I highly recommend!
-
McManda7Current favoriteI told my husband about it. He responded by saying he doesn’t like podcasts that are 2 hours long because he never finishes them. The next day I caught him listening to an episode, and since then he’s finished multiple episodes because it’s just that good. Thanks Sean and team for putting these together.
-
DL FrenchThoughtful!Real people, discussing real issues.

ThisNicknameWasNotTakenYetWonderful, God glorifying contentThis is the podcast for you. I write that not even knowing who you are, but I write it with confidence. I am confident because the aim of this show is to spend time in a topic to allow nuance and clarity to be stated so that we might all better understand. And we all can come to a better understanding. This is the show for you.

Diamond roseyI like this podcastI recently discovered this podcast and it has been really good so far.
-
cbhaygoodExcellent! As an abundant consumer of Christian podcasts, this one has moved high up my list of helpful content. Sean’s humility is clear and encouraging. He also does a great job of drawing out his guests while not shying away from what may seem like difficult questions. He asks the questions I’ve always wanted to ask his guests. An excellent podcast!

Brady G. PaulA Podcast Worth Listening ToSome theological topics need a precise and thorough treatment in terms of podcast media. Some podcasts leave topics mis or underrepresented because of felt time restraints or just knowledge restraints of those hosting. Not Sean Demars and Room for Nuance. If you’re looking for deep, thoughtful, informed conversations from some of the best minds on important and relevant topics, THIS IS THE PODCAST FOR YOU!

Luke CritesLuke Needs to Write mor songsLove the podcast; listened to the Terry episode and you mentioned your PA was an artist. Looked him up and love the music. Make some time for him to write more albums in the internship schedule lol!

Philip HeardExcellent Long Form Christian DiscussionsI discovered Sean Demars from the American Gospel documentaries, which led me to the Defend and Confirm podcast(which is outstanding), and now here to Room For Nuance. Highly recommend if you're interested in thoughtful discussions on various topics from a Christian perspective.
-
jesupskiboyThankful for this podcastOne of the only podcasts where I listen to every episode in its entirety. Sean has a gift in bringing out a fresh side of people. The interviews are edifying and enjoyable to listen to. I am always encouraged from listening.
-
JesiScVery good!Extremely great show! Not the twattle we find ourselves listening to these days! ??Question for Russel, I don’t know where else I could get this out to him. I have so much love and appreciation for his family! Have they looked into his wive’s health problems being a possible demonic curse? I do not want to discount anything she’s been through, I know the suffering and desperation is real, and I’ve learned some things recently about curses, I know they are real. Praying for healing, peace, joy and knowing our Father’s love!

J. B. WhitneyBreath of Fresh AirIt’s wonderful to have more podcasts with reasonable, thought out, and conversational discussion. Strong biblical truth with love and compassion. 10/10 recommend.

KYoung35In depth discussions and great topics! This podcast covers an array of great subjects and I love how in depth the conversations are. You get so much wisdom and knowledge out of each episode. And you get the occasional cheesy jokes from Sean all for free 😂 truly a great podcast I’ve been blessed by listening to!
-
JHawkins84Long form at its best!Sit back and listen. Sean does a fantastic job of engaging in good conversation with great guests discussing things that need to be discussed. It’s heavy on topics, but kept light with genuine relationships and banter coming through. This podcast is worth your time!
