    Enjoying Superman
I’ve really been enjoying Superman. It’s amazing to listen to the variety of social issues addressed, as well as the future looking technology. It done in a fun and adventurous way - taking the listener around the world and out of this world while doing so. As always, Adam is a thoughtful host that provides insight into the programs and educates us on things long forgotten like the bathysphere! It’s been a fun listen.

    Thank You Adam
Late to the party, but I love this podcast. I’m a fan of the 1940’s SM cartoon, and this shares many of the same themes for radio. The combo of old time radio with ads and super man is sweet. Some say the host is boring. I don’t care. I like his random comments. He doesn’t speak for too long. There are no modern ads so far but I haven’t heard all the episodes yet. I love old time radio, comics, and I work in advertising. Only stating to make my bias clear.

    Great job. Passionate host
First of all Adam is passionate about OTR, and it comes across in all of his podcasts. Do yourself a favor and ignore all of these comic book pencil-necked geeks who are really rude!! Give a listen and enjoy...and find out what REAL entertainment is all about!!! Thanks Adam!!!

    Fun
I have been listening to many of the old radio shows from a different website but you have put these episodes in an easy to access package. Also your commentary is fun too. Thanks.

    Super fantastic!
Adam Graham is doing a great service to Superman fandom and old radio junkies alike. Playing these episodes has given me a great gift. Superman is my favorite comics character of all time and being able to listen to these old programs like my dad used to is a treat. Bud Collier as Superman/Clark Kent was the voice of a whole generation, two if you count the Filmation cartoons of the sixties. These shows are exciting but also corny in a good way. There fun for all but if you're a Superman fan you owe it to yourself to give these a listen. Thank you Adam. Marc Lax

    Love it! Thanks Adam!
I really enjoy the Old Time Radio, Superman is the first one I have gotten into as an adult. I grew up listening to The Shadow, Dragnet and some others they used to have on our local radio station (about 15 or 20 years ago). Adam does a fantastic job commenating, I love the insight he brings and usually spots all the little things and inconcistencies I note, and its wonderful validation I am not the only one who finds them. I am only on episode 290, and I binge listen them at work while driving my semi-truck. I think I will have to check out his other broadcasts. From Seattle Washington, this is your listener, signing off... :)

    Great shows but problems
Recently had to reinstall podcast, but now some of the individual podcast won't download anymore, get an error message, have tried to unsubscribe and then re -subscribe but still have podcasts that won't download, what has happened to my favorite podcast?

    Love hearing the old show!
The old Superman serial is presented, complete with commercials for Kellogg's Pep and contests to win cases of gum. The host, Adam, begins or ends each episode with his thoughts and insights. Keep up the good work!

    Awesome show!
This is a great show that really puts you in the 1940s. I only wish that Adam would talk a little bit more about the show.

    Pure fun
I'm having more fun with this podcast than I am reading current superman comics. This program is why podcasts exist.

Great serials for the long drives
This is a great serial for long drives. I am a courier who sometimes drives an hour between stops, and the stories are fun and keep me awake and alert. The host is good, I just started listening so I am a couple years behind, but listen to 10-12 podcasts a day so it shouldn't take too long to catch up.

    Adjective Laden Breakfast Cereal Brainwashing
The Superman shows are great and being that I listen to all of Adam's old time radio podcasts, I have to say that he definitely grows on you. The people who complain about him should probably shut up. Personal attacks on the host are petty and pathetic. That being said, how did kids stand the absolutely intrusive advertising by Kellogs? How can cereal be full of "keen come-on"? The stupid and desperate advertising makes me want to find the guy who did all the commercials, dig him up and slap his corpse around. I'm not sure why 1940s advertisers needed 17 adjectives per sentence to sell their crappy cereal but the commercials really start to wear you down. I would've just bought Pep to shut the idiot up. Normally I find old timey advertising quaint and interesting but I just fast forward through these. SAY GANG, TELL YOUR MOM TO BUY PEP OR I'LL BE SUPER KEEN ON COMING TO YOUR HOUSE AND JAMMING SOME SLICK, DELICIOUS, POWERFUL, SUNSHINEY GOOD LOOKING PEP DOWN YOUR LITTLE BROTHERS THROAT UNTIL HE SLIPS INTO A CRISP, TASTY COMA. YOU HEP TO THAT? YOU HEP TO PEP YOU LITTLE JERKS?

    Terrific
Thanks for compiling and making these episode available. Though they are from yesterday-year, Bud Collyer's Superman may be one of the best.

    Nice work!
I know I can download these but I enjoy Adam’s presentation. I stay a little behind Adam’s shows so I can listen to them back to back if the need suits and have even gone back to listen to a few twice. The only way to improve would be to do more shows; but then we will only finish sooner. From a fan in MI, Thanks Adam, thanks! Jim Merrill PS. I just saw some PEP buttons on Pawn Stars. Complete set - $700 to $800. Now that’s “on the beam!”

    Alvin and the Chipmunks
Normally love Superman but Adam's been on a little break and for some reason the show now sounds speeded up. Superman sounds like Alvin. Distinctly unsuperhero-y. Adammmmm, come baaack!

    Fantastic Radio Program, Unnecessary Commentary
I'll get be good out of the way first. This podcast is full of complete Superman broadcasts, and the sound quality of almost all of them is superb. Not only the quality of the audio itself, but the audio levels in which these shows were recorded is really good as well, making it one of the more pleasant vintage programs to listen to due to it's crystal clear sound. If you're wanting a Superman podcast, this is a great place to start. However, the podcast's host is clearly untrained in the art of broadcasting. If it were my show, and I felt the need to editorialize, I would do so in an entertaining and informative way. As it stands, the host's commentary is not at all necessary, which is made all the more frustrating by his nasal, throaty delivery in which he says virtually nothing of substance. I don't mean the host any disrespect because I know he means well, and at the end of the day it's his podcast to do with as he pleases, but his two-cents are really a detriment to this otherwise perfect vintage broadcast. That is why I can't give this podcast any more than three stars. Without his speaking, it would be a five star podcast for sure.

    Not what I expected...
I really expected the radio shows. However, to get to the shows you have to sit through random talking by someone who hardly identifies himself and has a tendency to ramble on. His talking seems to go longer than the shows themselves. On top of that, as the episodes themselves play (finally), the guy is doing something else on his computer and their is a sound from his computer that plays again and again, even covering up some of the important parts of the stories. Like he said, these are in the public domain so there are better ways to get these files without the extra stuff and the computer sounds. Two stars since you do eventually get to the shows.

    Very enjoyable
Well Adam, I just started listening to Superman a couple of months ago and had downloaded all you had to date. I'm now caught up and look forward to listening to them as you get them out. I have really enjoyed your comments on each of the episodes and look forward to hearing more. Thank you for making this available to us in the medium, Bill

    Hooked on Superman
Adam, I appreciate your podcast, and your commentary. I also love hearing your accent. In a world of homogenized sameness, I appreciate differences borne if culture, geography and heritage. Superman has hooked me, as has the habit of waiting for twice weekly shows to follow the cliff hangers to their conclusion. Thanks a bunch. Joel

    Great show
I was reading through the comments, and I came across two comments by two absolutely rude individuals who obviously don't know what kind of time and effort it takes to put on a podcast like this. I just want to thank Adam for the amazing job he does. Ignore these idiots who have nothing better to do than try to put someone down. Anyways, kind of got off topic there. Thanks Adam, keep up the great work!!!

Old time radio superman is amazing
This is an amazing show. It is really fun to listen to and Adam's commentary adds even more humor than is provided by Jimmy and the old time vocabulary. I used to listen to these when I was 5 ( I'm 15 now)and I'm glad I have found them again in a more accessible form than cassette. I really hope that this show continues.

    I love the shows...
I love the shows..the host does a good job lining up the storylines--however--and there will always be a however...The host tends to be very nitpicky when it comes to plotlines, story arcs, and believeability of the story--First things is first--The whole story of a man from Krypton with superhuman strength is unbelievable and fantastic--so i'm ok with some things of the stories not making any sense or the continuity of the plot being screwy. Its the reason its called make believe--these shows aren't there to make sense and the writers understood that their job was to entertain no matter how outlandish stories were written. enjoy them..escape from the make sense world of reality and enjoy what is meant to entertain.

    Superman
Many thanks to Adam for somehow finding the time to post this and several other shows. (that I spend more time listening to than is probably healthy) The superman series is good clean fun, and if you're a fan of superman, or any other superhero, than I think you will really enjoy this show. Thanks again to Adam for posting it. :)

    Super Man Podcast is Super!
As Usual Adam brings a clean healthy look at days of the past when things were simple. The values of Superman were much more wholesome than shows for kids today. Times change, but this i fun "Blast from the Past"
  • Alcamus
    Great stuff
In a day and age when MTV has shows called "Sex with Mom and Dad" im glad there is someone bringing us good wholesome entertainment . I have a 11 month old boy and cant wait to get him into these shows. BTW Adam any chance you could do Batman? anyway keep up the great work.

    Shut this idiot up!
Love the Superman Radio SHow, but someone shut up the host. He is an idiot with a terrible, slow voice, and no knowledge whatsoever. Not to mention the terrible recording of the audio. And the constant plugging of his magazine and website is really annoying. Especially as they have the stupidest fanboy name I have ever hear, Lazer and Sword Magazine. I will never go to the site or read it just because of that stupid name.

A Five Star Show With A One Star Host
The Adventures of Superman radio show it's self is wonderful. It so interesting to hear the stories of Superman back then. The radio show it's self is a FIVE STAR Show threw and threw. But the host Adam Graham is ONE STAR all the way. His intros and out-tros do nothing, but accost your ears with a voice and mic skills not made for radio/podcasting. He doesn't bring any insight what so ever. He has no grasp of the history of the show and only a rudimentary knowledge of Superman. His only contribution is to expound and mock it's some what dated plots or sound effects they had at the time. Fast foreword to the actual content (The Adventures of Superman) and skip Adam your ears will thank you.

    Fantastic Job Adam!
I started out listening to Adam's Dragnet podcast and then I heard about this one and had to try it out. Needless to say I am now hooked on both podcasts. Keep up the good work Adam and good luck with your new OTR detectives podcast.
