Vekr-Great show! Terrible theme music. This is a wonderful show; I can’t believe that it took me this long to discover it. I love to hear all the stories; whether they are funny, sad, or anything in between, they are always thought-provoking. Please change the theme song, though! It literally hurts my ears every time I hear it, especially when wearing earbuds.

Sad & Sad & but hopefullBroken heartedI am old and retired and broke. I wanted to listen to Franny's last ride by Mike outta New York. Finally, I was able to trace it through the Internet to Moth. it was right there in front of me. I could see it, but in front of that was a page where I had to donate money. I tried to get around that page but I couldn't. My retirement is 1800 and change. My mortgage is over 2000. I do not ever remember the Moth ever asking for money, so I'm hoping it's something new. A as huge fan of the Moth I new I am sad for the old and poor that live thru Mike and Franny. I don't wish shame or guilt on any Moth but I suspect there may be some dwelling within. Love y'all and you too brother Mike. I've an 05 Roadglide that has my soul in it. And prayers that Franny that she's living her dream just in a different venue. Fish Local boy not far from Woods Hole, or Boston. Love y'all.

SPWildsPhenomenalI adore “The Moth.” There is always a story that connects us as human beings. However, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the Sept. 30 episode, specifically, the story by Brian Jeansonne. His story will strip you of any self-pity that you might have. It is a beautiful story about a phenomenal family. Close your eyes, listen, and have gratitude for everything in your life. ❤️

K.S. in the PNWThere’s something for everyone! ♥️I’m a frequent podcast listener, subscribing to multiple types from crime and science to news or human interest. The Moth is such a beautiful collection of storytellers, I’ve found myself more than once laughing aloud alone in a room or feeling so heartbroken by a sense of shared experiences from these oral authors, tears streaming down my cheeks while riding public transit. I wish there was a way to produce more eclectic tales, enriching the experience for the listener, without having to fit the mold of a theme. Either way, beautifully produced and eternally grateful for this podcast!

ugogrrrlhuman stories expertly toldI’ve been listening to the moth for as long as I can remember. I love these very real, very relatable stories. It gives me hope for my country to hear from people that are slowly but surely more ethnically, culturally, sexually, or otherwise "diverse". We are all "diverse," and we are all alike if we suspend judgement and listen to each other. The storytellers, in their sometimes brutal, naked honesty, are just like us. They are flawed, beautiful and oh so lovable. So are we.
-
AndysgrlNot greatI like the Moth, it used to be one of my favorite podcasts but the loud cheering and clapping from the audience, the loud trumpet theme song and the loud ads just make it nearly impossible to enjoy the lovely stories especially at night when all you want to do is unwind, relax and fall asleep. For those reasons I haven’t listened to it in a couple of years at least. If they could somehow isolate the voices of the storytellers and tone down the jazzy trumpet (I get it, you can play the trumpet) it would be a much better podcast.

PinebeersI Wish I Could SubscribeI once gave a good donation to Maine Public Radio in the early Y2 years, but I haven’t been able to offer much deserved support for the podcasts I love. They were all free when I started listening, and now I feel shut out and fear that before long I won’t have any access to these wonderful educational podcasts. That said, what I really want to say is that Moth Radio is SO ENGAGING and WORTH a SUBSCRIPTION!

Yass girlypopSo awesome but…The moth is great! but I feel like there’s barely any new stories and it takes so long to get them.😞😞😞
-
@Adrienne.Hardly any new stories anymoreI’ve never listened to another podcast that repeats their content as much as this one. At least other podcasts are transparent about their “encore episodes.”
-
LucyLou972Sad it’s different nowPodcast has changed over past two years and not as diverse. I stopped listening to the last story today about the bookstore. Maybe it’s me, but I used to enjoy the wonderful stories from different walks of life but recently it seems to be same story over and over basically.

Nate the Great.estDefinition of ArtIncredible, eclectic, experiences that enrich and entertain. A must listen!

6292904144846midthe stories are good but i am tired of the reruns and repetitive topics. glad that you are being inclusive but inclusive means EVERYONE. trans and queer people seem to be majority of these stories.

bryonnajayLast episode weird editingThe last episode posted has super screwed up editing. It was really hard to listen to because the stories were literally repeating
-
LilLumpyHorrible editingWhoever edited this week’s rerun episode needs to be fired

bjohns383Ok fine…10/31 - The latest episode was actually really cute… I heard this show on the radio one night a long time ago, and it sounded so affected and tedious. But I recently gave it another listen and it’s pretty good… soooo if you don’t like it at first, maybe wait a while and give it another try. It’s decent
-
NorCal OpinionsChangedI have listened Moth for 10+ plus years and I am sad to say I find myself uninterested by the repetitive topics. This used to be a place where you could hear stories and experiences from all walks of life. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. It seems that Moth like so many other media outlets have chosen to represent the victim mentality. The general theme now seems to be white people, and in particular white males are bad and oppressive. If you are a minority or trans, you are almost certain to have your story aired. This focus only further separates us all. Do better

zatenamora👍Good stories

A CuffLove this…I enjoy these stories……Glad to have some positive media to listen to you while I’m working. Makes my time fly by. Thank you……

carnivore59Too Many RepeatsSo many repeats these days…is it really that hard to find stories?

SnakeladylibrarianA chat on the stoop about the black community and swimmingI am a regular, happy listener of The Moth. I'm also 51, white, and I was raised in the south. We had segregated swimming, and I was raised with the certainty that Black people didn't swim because they didn't have the same buoyancy as white people. I really appreciated this episode. I appreciated learning the facts about how black bodies swim just as well as white bodies, but that there are historical prejudices that kept the Black community from developing swimming skills. I especially appreciated the commentary about black women's hair care and swimming. Thank you for bringing this episode to me. I learned a lot.

IndozoneUsed To Be GoodI've been listening to The Moth for many years and it was great. These days, there are far too many repeats and far too many people who are trying to be witty and failing miserably. If The Moth wants a comedy podcast, do a spinoff and market it as such.
-
I Love Apple PodcastsIt is very originalThe only thing bad is all the repeats
-
cmmklLove it but too many repeatsThe Moth is one of the joys of my life, look forward to it every week and I laugh, I cry etc. However, I don’t understand why, with all the stories that have been told over more than 2 decades and counting, there are so many repeats! I swear some of them I’ve heard 4 (or more!) times and it’s just starting to seem lazy…never thought I’d be skipping stories but I am…bummer

caspjeaPregnancyHi, I want to start off by saying I absolutely LOVE the moth!! Longgg time listener and I also have attended a live show. It’s my favorite podcast. I hate to ask for another trigger warning before shows… I realllly do! But I have come across this issue a lot lately. I am pregnant and there are many episodes on traumatic miscarriage & still births etc. Pregnancy is an extremely sensitive and can be terrifying. I am having twins and I am a high risk pregnancy. I try to avoid filling my brain with this type of trauma especially since I have experienced miscarriage before. I KNOW that I am NOT alone in this with other pregnant people, it can be really disturbing and triggering in our condition. I think it would be beneficial to mention what stories are going to contain traumatic miscarriage and pregnancy complication as we do with sexual violence warnings. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you for your considerations.

GrandMasterPrattGetting worse and worseThey need to focus more on good, well-told stories, not on who is telling them. If you are a celebrity, even a minor one (like you were in a group that had a hit in the 60’s), you get your story featured. Or if you a trans person, especially one from a different culture, your story gets on here. It doesn’t matter if the story is predictable and boring and told without any charisma or charm (and they usually are). I’d much rather hear good stories that are told-well but by normal people. More like this used to be on here but there are less and less of them.

SWChabSubscription cuts is offAll subscription all the time now. A loss for we who have listened for years.

deleted scenes?Repetitive…I absolutely love these stories! The Moth has done a great job of bringing the art of story telling to so many people. I’m so moved by what I hear. But a few years ago I unsubscribed because I was tired of hearing repeat stories. This morning, on my way to work, I decided to listen again after a hiatus of at least 3 years, and what do you know? I listened to 3 stories and 2 were repeats. Frankly I’m so confused. With so many stories to choose from why would they be choosing so many repeats?! I find it frustrating as a listener. But the actual stories are amazing!

P222222222222222222222Unfollowing/subscription feeIm disgusted that a show Ive been listening to as long as I can remember (FOR FREE) now wants my money for the same thing. Hopping on the subscription fee trend is something I thought they would be above. NPR/1A/The Moth all slowly just fell to the wayside. Everything is diff now. Changes r ok but this is ridiculous to me being nickle and dimed everywhere u go. Patreon, tv networks, etc…its deplorable

AlyseLCLawrence Main StageHearing the episode this week about poetry brought back all of the tender emotions from hearing it live in Kansas. Love love love the moth!
-
Molino GirlLove the moth, but….I listen to the Moth regularly and absolutely love listening to the stories which I do at work through my earbuds, and additional hearing protection ear muffs, which leads to my only complaint. The intro trumpet music is so painfully loud compared to the talk portion that I have to yank off my safety muffs and snatch out my earbuds or try to get it turned down quickly before my hearing is damaged. Please think about adjusting the intro music volume.
