NadumanInspired the food forest company Bring Back EdenAs a Lancaster, Pa boy who spent his whole life running to the big cities, Scott helped me to slow down, embrace my roots and dig into permaculture on a full time scale. That includes leaving Los Angeles to move to Florida and start the food forest company Bring Back Eden. Thank you Scott and guests for the invaluable information and insights on a selfless life worth living.

trumpeting_angelA pleasureI find myself devouring good Permaculture information, and it can certainly be found here.We have to change our way of living, and our way of borrowing food if the planet is to survive. I am so pleased that Scott is a part of this movement, and willing to share so much of his expertise, and that of others.

JasonBlissWhat a great range of topics!I first got turned on to the podcast, looking for interviews with Joshua Hughes of Black Sheep Regenerative Land Management. Since then, I've learned so much about how others are applying permaculture to their lives & businesses. It's such a great tool to bring the community together!

Blesse_xMy New Favorite PodcastThe variety of inspirational guests on the show is absolutely amazing. I’ve learned so much, about so many topics related to permaculture I had no idea even existed. Scott Mann asks just the right questions to get the conversation flowing in the most productive ways. I get extremely excited when a new episode pops up, and I often find myself going back to favorites to re-listen.

Andrewralph11122211111Great podcastAs a Marriage and Family Therapy student I view people within the relational systems they are a part of. It is encouraging to hear from people who are focused on a systems perspective in different domains. I find a lot of encouragement from this podcast, it is one of my favorites. sarahbikesgreat content, good podcastingThe thing I appreciate most about this podcast is that Scott's style brings out the interesting conversation from the guests. I didn't realize how good he is at first because it is a casual, personal conversation, but when I heard the same guest on another show, I noticed a big difference! Anyway, this is a good permaculture podcast, it remains one of my faves.

Groove Master DI really like this podcast! Very informativeThis is a very informative podcast. I really appreciate the care put into it. Scott has interviewed pretty much all of the thought leaders in Permaculture.
-

Thomas HungerhurstA Permaculture Thought LeaderScott Mann's podcast is one of the first I started listening to as I began my journey to learn about Permaculture, and it is the only one of many that I've continued to listen to over the years. The podcast is informative, but more so, is a vibrant dialogue with a wide range of people from a broad swath of communities and subject areas that all relate and contribute to the knowledge base of the Permaculture community. Scott has been making the podcast for 7 years now, and it shows, with great audio quality and editing in every show, as well as an approachable format to each show. I highly recommend giving it a listen, and if you are looking for a place to start, I would recommend 1523, Necessary Simplicity with Ethan Hughes. It's an inspiring discussion that I come back to again and again. Give this podcast a listen, and skill up for the coming age!

JefgodeskyTake care of earth, yourself, and each other. That's Scott's sign-off and what he presents in each episode. If you want to keep up with what's going on in the world of permaculture, subscribe to this podcast. If you want intelligent discussion of real solutions for our most pressing problems, subscribe to this podcast. If you want to know if a better world is possible, subscribe to this podcast.

Art and BriThankfulScott Mann weaves a series of beautiful interviews in the epsisodes of The Permaculture Podcast as he tells the story of permaculture, agriculture and rural living, but more than these, the story of human connection as a life path. I came to the podcast looking for technical information, (having just bought an old farm in WNC), was not disapointed, but came away with inspiration.

DiRst8sNecessaryThis podcast is worth every moment. Excellent and inspiring conversations with little pretense. Exploring a new way of viewing the world.
-
Thezenainformative and inspiringScott Mann cares deeply about the fullest meaning of the permaculture ethic, and it shows. This informative podcast is carefully curated, covering a wide range of topics with thoughtul guests who have done their homework, as has Scott. Always worth listening to.

MidshipmenVoyageFair and EnlighteningVery good dialogue and reviews.
-
Cascadianabroadthe first and the bestIt has earned its name as *the* permaculture podcast. Though there are now several others in the same field, this show remains the go-to. Various permaculture techniques get the bulk of the discussion around the Internet, but Scott Mann and his guests get down to the deeper social and systems basis. If you want to hear another discussion of how to do hugelkultur or build with cob, there's plenty of other resources out there. But if you want to understand permaculture itself, or why it's so vitally important, this show is for you.

ArisatorieTook a chanceI found this podcast as I was looking for more foraging/herbalism podcasts. This podcast is not those but it does capture another lifestyle that is pretty compatable. Chocked full of great guests with useful information, some are even herbalists and foragers. Not was I was looking for but I'm glad I gave it a try because I've learned a lot from the permaculture PODcast.

ChadConklin602Excellent ShowI have been listening to this podcast well over a year and this review is long overdue. Scott covers many different topics relating to permaculture and his passion for the subject can be heard in every episode, even the "Permabytes." When Scott says he is available he really is, I have had a handful of email conversations with him. This show has "added fuel to the fire" when it comes to my interest in permaculture and I can't wait to find my place in the movement. Chad, Surprise Arizona

Alfred North WhiteheadA major body of work and a gift to all mankind.Scott Mann's radio show is immense in labor and educational value. We listen to his shows on our permaculture farm while working and cooking. Kudos to Scott for his podcast, thought-provoking questions, choice of guests and Community mindset. In my opinion he and his guests are incredibly necessary if we wish the world to be a better place for us and future generations. Bravo! An excellent education awaits us! Spencer SightGood ContentReally important medium for the permaculture realm here. I admire Scott's persistence in acquiring the different voices of the movement.
-
Proton88ImpressedI have only heard 2 episodes but I am loving this stuff already
-
windonmytoesBest Permaculture PodcastProfessional and insightful. The absolute best permaculture podcast out there. Scott Mann is such a great host. I have listened to so many of these and will continue as long as it is in production. I like how Scott actually lets his guests talk and it's not all about him whereas Paul Wheaton tends to ramble on and get caught up in his ego.
-
DinhskiMany Thought-Provoking interviewsScott is a good-hearted dude who puts a TON of work into this podcast. Some of the interviews have literally changed my life….
-
PhytopollexScott is the MannVery good resource, especially for the price. Scott fosters some good conversations that spawn some great information.
-
MkdebuskScott Mann is a terrific interviewerThis is by far my favorite podcast. It is the only podcast about permaculture that I found listenable. Scott Mann is a wonderful host. I love hearing insights into his own lifestyle and way of living, child rearing, etc. though he doesn't reveal too much in any given show. He finds amazing people to discuss all fascists of permaculture with. This podcast has changed my outlook on the world and the direction I want to go in my life. Thank you Scott!
-
KrowmagnaSolid and sincereJust finished interviews with Adam Campell and was really moved. The shows are concise, with clear questions and answers and an authentic dialogue. If only the shows were as long as Dan Carlin's Hardcore History!
-
KellywareKelly MontanaAny of these podcasts are informative, interesting, and such a joy to listen to the voice, and sense of Scott Mann directing great conversations. Please hear them all for a well rounded discussion on many levels.
-
Dirk558I love this podcastI listen in every week, and am still going through all the old episodes. I’ve learned so much about permaculture through Scott’s interviews with the pioneers. So cool that he’s not that far away from me too!
-
wudngmtnVery informativeI have only had a chance to listen to the first five podcast; and already I have learned much. Perhaps even more importantly, I find the podcast inspiring; and I am eager to learn more.
-
wonderingcobbGreat information, diversity of topics, and inspiring.Scott does an amazing job to cover many different topics in the permaculture space and does well to get the details you want out of the folks he is interviewing. I am new to permaculture and find these podcasts quite accessible and they are inspiring me to dig much, much deeper. Keep it up Scott!
-
AncelynroseThe Permaculture PodcastVery good podcast - I think it's the best podcast about all aspects of permaculture. The interviewer is very good and creates space for the guests to freely express themselves. Scott, thanks for the great work.

unclefunky5687A gifted interviewer. A "must listen" podcast.Scott Mann put together a solid podcast with good production values and very effective and experienced permaculture leaders. For these ears he sounds pretty academic and tends to be very fair and detailed in his questions and wrapups. It took me a while to like his voice stylings but stay with it because he does NOT get in the way of his guests as he is a solid interviewer who has done his homework and allows the guest to take us along. The current "giants in the field " are his guests so you can get the latest thinking. I hope he moves forward with multiple interviews with some of his past guests. Do not hesitate to subscribe to his podcast. I have enjoyed many of his interviews multiple times. In listening to this podcast and others like it I feel this one is the best. He may not be the most experienced in a hands-on way but he is a humble and generous listener/interviewr and that benefits us.

Lola222asftGood Info, but lose the NPR voiceThere's a lot of great info in this podcast, but I really wish the host would lose the NPR radio voice and just talk normally. It's OK to show enthusiasm - permaculture is exciting!
-
VintageGal22Scott Mann great interviewerI like Scotts mellow voice and calm manner of making interviewees at ease. I like his style to let the person talk instead of the traditional method of getting info out of people, he lets them say what they want. I always come back for more.
-
Tre333333Excellent host, interesting guests, good quality audio, no bells & whistlesReally glad I came across this podcast. The host is knowledgeable (but not overbearing), asks the same questions of guests I'd like to ask, and speaks in a calm, measured tone so sadly absent from most of radio and TV today. Also, I appreciate that the quality of the broadcast is decent. I've tried some other sustainability-related ones that were crackly or full of sound effects and offensive, too-frequent music. I recommend this highly and will will be supporting it with donations.
-
BehavingNowWorth it!The host is very professional and the production quality is nice. What I like best is that the host is not a know it all and asks questions that I would want to ask myself. Found it very inspirational. Liked it so much that I donated money to the podcast, which I have never ever done before.
-
sweet_girl3313Real Information Real EntertainmentThis podcast is one the few on permaculture that presents real information without sounding cultish to the host or lacking an open mind to other aspects in agriculture and community building. The show has managed to nab some really impressive interviews and interviewees. The host asks excellent questions that get the conversation going without sounding repetitive. The host also gives us personal updates on their own journey. It's not really something that I listen for, but it brings a nice touch that keeps it relevant to the year and to the listeners. I really look forward to hearing how the show grows!

Nariyuki ni makaseyoAwesome--get up to speed with what you've missedVery professionally done, discovered this while sick with a cold...these podcasts were wonderful. I've known of permaculture and practiced it for years--at an Ecovillage, in my back yard, in my dad's backyard. This podcast fuels & informs my current knowledge. Subscribed and recommended. ;^)
