Jewcy FruitNever gets oldAlthough I’ve been a listener since 2020, I finally decided to take the plunge and started listening to the show from Episode 1. I have to say they’re still very enjoyable, addictive and age very well. I actually find myself liking ooking more forward to next classic episode of The Hysteria Continues than some of the current episodes of other horror podcasts I subscribe to. I enjoy the long format of their early years, but I can understand why they’ve streamlined it nowadays. Definitely a must listen for any horror fan.

David Meier SmithFour stars until todayIt had a four star rating til today. The fact that any one of them could like Jordan Peele’s “Us”, much less more than one, means that I cannot in good conscience, continue to listen to this podcast anymore and am Unsubscribing. To praise a film as nonsensical as that, one of the most poorly written films in horror cinema history (where did all the jumpsuits and scissors come from and why did they just never leave???) and such an absolute riot and joke of a performance from the lead, gives me an idea of their viewing requirements… I guess it just has to be a movie with pictures to entertain them. Shiny object! Fetch! Goodbye.

EDavis1973Awesome!Love the podcast and Teenage Wasteland!!
-
Lisandro1983Good but I have an issueBye
-
tussey86Tangents aside it’s great.I want to be clear. I loved this show, however thirty minutes of discussion on unrelated films before even getting to the show’s main topic (Blood Sisters) is too much. I love a good tangent now and then but this was excessive.
-
Adam87ECGreat funThese guys know their slashers! I’ve gotten so many deep cut recommendations from these guys and some good chuckles.
-
jokerny69One of the bestExcellent podcast that entertains and gives you the best information on horror classic.A must to all horror podcast listeners.
-
Bodar HigginsHighly recommended!Ever since I started listening to your guys’ podcast about a month ago I haven’t been able to stop! From “Superstition” to “Eyeball”, it’s great to listen to passionate and knowledgeable fans talking about the obscure films they love! Hell, it’s fun to listen to y’all talk about films you hate just as much. A great source of entertainment for fans of horror, cult and all-around weird cinema.

Hatman!Thank You THC..:I discovered the show a couple of weeks ago while searching for horror based audio to keep me entertained at work and on my commutes there and back. I was born in 1974 and my love for Horror began in 1978 when I was along for a viewing of the original Halloween at the local drive-in. The film left me absolutely terrified of it for years... I would freak out at the sight of The Shape and the sound of the music. My terror turned into fascination and from there to love. Horror Cinema and in particular Slasher films are something I adore. Having grown up amidst the Slasher Boom and the age of home video rental this podcast is like a time machine for me. I’ve started at the beginning and am working my way through them all. Memories have flooded my mind of things I had not thought of since the 70s and 80s. I’ve recalled movies I had lost through the years that I loved as a kid. The Hosts of the show are great and I feel like I am back in grade school with my good pal on the playground talking as fast as we could about all of the horror we had spent our weekends devouring on Beta and VHS. I’ve missed those times and those feelings. Thank you THC for bringing them back to me.

WalterPrzThe best!!!The best podcast in the history of podcasts.

thebestmgs#1 in Horror Podcasting! Literally, head, shoulders, and the rest of the body above the rest! The absolute best horror podcast on Earth! These guys have impeccable chemistry. The humor, background information, and overall taste in movies makes this the go-to audio entertainment for all fans of slashers. They cover all the greats and sometimes not so great from the genre while keeping it fun throughout. Keep up the fantastic work guys!
-
Daveg7777Very informative and entertaining slasher podcastUsually with an ensemble podcast like this, I find one or two hosts really stand out over the others, but in the case of “The Hysteria Continues”, all four hosts have their strengths and all manage to stand out. If you enjoy slasher horror movies, this is a great podcast to listen to, and they cover popular as well as obscure movies. Highly recommended!
-
Billy VidrineThis is how you do itDiscovered these guys doing an audio commentary for Night Train to Terror and thought they were excellent. Turns out the podcast is even better. I usually grow impatient when these things deviate from the title’s given subject but this podcast is surprisingly well structured and the personalities are strong enough and there’s such chemistry between all involved that it becomes addictively listenable. I was even enthralled during the extended discussion of Melrose Place with Amanda Reyes in one episode. But this is at its heart a Horror Podcast and a Slasher one at that. Entertaining, informative and international, Hysteria Continues is the Gold Standard.
-
BTBAMrules310Great Horror PodcastOne of the best horror pods out there. All of the hosts are great, and they don’t talk over each other.

TravisD.A slasher film lover’s dream!I’m so thankful that I stumbled upon this fantastic podcast. I absolutely love the slasher genre and it is clearly obvious that the hosts do as well. Everyone is very engaging and informative which is a plus. There is a lot of humor included as well. All in all this is just a wonderful show and I look forward to binge listening to this at work all day! PS review the Laid To Rest slasher films!!!

Calvinball81You won't be disappointed!I'm a horror podcast addict in general but I always end up returning to this one because it really sets the bar. As much as I love hearing the insightful commentary on all the movies I've seen I also listen for the many ideas I get for future viewing. The prominent classics get their due but obscure gems get coverage and then some. Just as important as a podcast's content is the dynamic between the hosts and nothing here disappoints either. What I'd give to sit down with these guys for a drink and a rap about slasher films! Here's hoping this podcast lives on for many years to come.
-
J from IndianaFantastic podcast!I've listened to horror podcasts for years now, and I have no clue how I missed out this one for so long. Great chemistry between the four hosts, and just really enjoying going through pasts episodes. I love tracking down the film before I listen to episode.
-
Ara AlishanThe Cure for the Common Traffic JamWell, here it is. The podcasts that got me into podcasts. I've been listening to these gentlemen for years now and can't thank them enough for making my grueling daily commute more tolerable. Highly recommended.
-
Hagzilla!A Very Fun ListenI'll admit. I'm a bit of a fraidy-cat when it comes to horror movies. It's to the point of being very selective on the ones that I watch. I can handle (and do enjoy) discussion about them though. It's sort of like a child who is intrigued by taboo situations. Therefore, this podcast is very thoughtful and thorough in their discussion of classic horror films. I'll be listening to the back catalogue within the near future.
-
LookWhatDrewDrewLookWhatDrewDrewWhat a great show. Being a horror buff can be a really alienating thing, and being a GAY horror buff can be even worse. Listening these guys banter about the best subgenre of horror from the best era of horror is an absolute blast, even if the "cat flushing the toilet" makes you think twice about downloading the next episode, it's usually worth it. Keep it up, guys!
-
Earl ManswetBest Podcast Ever!!This is seriously my favorite podcast of all time! Great personalities and lots of fun for all! They're not only hilarious, but very informative about the films they cover. If you're a Slasher movie fan ,or just a fan of horror in general, you will love this podcast!
-
SingItBackMaybe my favorite podcastI listen to a ton of podcasts, but this is the one I would be most unable to live without. I found it by pure dumb luck and have since listened to almost every episode. There is not a weak link among the hosts, they pick amazing movies to review, and the banter is often wildly entertaining and informative. I hope this podcast continues for many episodes to come. Keep up the excellent work!

CAS10003A horror podcast for everybodyWhen I see a new Hysteria Continues podcast has been uploaded, I do a little dance of joy. After trying so many other horror-themed podcasts, this is the only one that I come back to like it's an old friend. Eric, Justin, Nathan, and Jonathan have a true and deep love of the slasher genre and always prepare to talk in-depth about these films, which has led me to really expand my own love of slashers. And now that the podcast has been going 5 years, they've developed a silly-and-innocent comedy schtick that really works (who knew I would giggle so hard every time I hear that dumb cat flushing a toilet??) Best of all, even though this podcast features four gents, it's a podcast for everyone, and is refreshingly female-friendly. No macho posturing, no long discussions about beer, no tired homophobic jokes (obviously - it's a majority-'mo affair), and the double entendres should please everyone no matter your gender or predilections. I love these guys, and hope this podcast continues forever.
-
rustingwillpowerStill a favorite! The Hysteria Continues was the first podcast I ever listened to, and after all of the Top 3's, quizzes, cats, matrons, jokes of the week, Toyah vs. Siouxsie, Inga moments and general slashery horror goodness, it's still one of my favorites. Never fails to entertain and inform.
-
mankatoguy77My new favorite Horror PodcastI recently discovered this podcast and it is fantastic. The humor is fun and there are a lot of great discussions about the movies. The choice of movies being reviewed is brilliant. Highly recommended, especially for listeners of the (former?) Horroretc podast.
-
Caffeinated JoeFun and EntertainingJust listened to my first Hysteria Continues podcast, the Black Christmas episode from 2011. Loved it, not just the talk about that classic film, but all the other films and countdowns and stuff. Will be back for more!
-
Ziemer90"Oh Eric"This is just an outstanding podcast. Perfect mix of fun, interesting, funny, and really educational. I grew up in the time of roaming the horror section of video stores looking at all the amazing yet creepy VHS covers. Only got to see some of them but you guys talk and cover all of them. It's terrific to learn all of this information and listen to them argue as well as the not surprised yet slightly disappointed common phrase of "Oh Eric". Keep it up gentlemen, you deserve the 5 stars and hopefully this review helps other people discover your show. Take care. Josh Z

lousywithghostsSo much slasher goodness! This is one of my favorite podcasts. All four hosts are incredibly knowledgable and funny, and I've discovered some obscure slasher gems from this show. Keep up the great work!
-
Ginny CameronOh Inga!I love these guys! If you're a slasher fan you are in for a real treat. Great banter and even Melissa from Friday the 13th part 7 would like em!
-
eduardovictoryOne of the Best Film Podcasts EverI’ve listened to many podcast, but I’ve never followed one as closely as I do THC. The hosts are funny, knowledgable, and best of all, they are the type of people that truly have a love for cult films.
-
DrewsterbrThe bestThe best horror movie podcast, bar none. Wittertainment galore! Inga steals the show.
-
Tristian ComerA horror fan's dreamThese guys really know their stuff when it comes to this genre. In addition to going into great detail about each "feature presentation," they also do great jobs covering what they have recently watched, every "Top 3," from top 3 killer's motives to top 3 favorites cover art is icing on an already great cake, and it is also exciting to listen to interviews with actors, producers, etc. As already stated, a horror fan's dream.
-
Mazin' BlueLove for a Red-Headed Stepchild of FilmThe Hysteria Continues is an entertaining discussion of horror films, concentrating on the slasher genre, whose heyday was in the early '80s. Part of the charm of the podcast is the rapport among its core group--Justin (from England), Erik (from Ireland), Joseph (from Tennessee), and Nathan (also from Tennessee)--communicating from individual locations via Skype. In contrast to other podcasts, the cast has remained consistent over its three-year existence with only occasional guests augmenting the regulars. While some of the cast's idiosyncrasies (e.g., Erik's Inga tantrums during quizzes and Nathan's obsession with a "final girl" being chased by the killer) do wear thin over time even as "bits," listeners would benefit from listening to the podcasts in order from the beginning (the earliest episodes being on the group's website), as there are several recurring references that run through the course of the series. The (thankfully) occasional interviews that the podcasters manage to get from slasher movie directors and actors improve as the series progresses. For all its talk of proto-slashers and filmmakers missing the point of giallos and slashers of the past, The Hysteria Continues is a consistently entertaining celebration of a film genre not usually held in high regard.
-
The Unknown MurdererAbsolutely one of the best. Not only is the show consistent, well-organized and well-performed, but it's very entertaining! The four hosts are top-notch, especially when Eric goes Inga. Listen to them all!
-
Bloody FramesThe Best in Slasher PanacheI'm a horror fanatic - have been since I first say Friday the 13th part 2 at the measly age of 5. The attention to detail and care they give in their reviews is unrivaled. Of all the horror podcasts out there this ones the best. Stay Gold guys - I know nothing stays Gold forever but keep up the great work!

MllemorteYOU MUST SUBSCRIBE !!I began listening to this podcast about a year ago and I am just now commenting and rating it. ( Please forgive me ) This podcast is a slasher fan's dream. Our hosts of the show are all very informative and entertaining. What sets this podcast apart from many others is the hosts do not talk over each other, There are many interviews with various directors, cast and crew members of these wonderful forgotten films. I began visiting Justin Kerswell's Hysteria Lives website many years ago and I was pleasantly when I found this podcast. I also have Justin's book The Slasher Movie Book ( A.K.A Teenage Wasteland ).. If you are a fan of the genre you must get this !!! I hope this podcast Keeps going for many many years to come.. Thank you Justin, Erik, Joseph and Nathan for putting together such an entertaining show. Kara Chicago, IL

JohnnyKruegLove These Guys!I don't get a chance to listen to many podcasts, but the few I do listen to are top-shelf! I've been listening to the Hysteria Continues since episode 1, & have never been disappointed...EVER! Erik, Justin, Nathan, & Joseph are some of the coolest, most knowledgable guys when it comes to slasher movies. With every listen, it's more like hanging out with friends, than listening to a podcast. If you love slasher movies, or horror in general, you'll love the guys over at the Hysteria Continues. The slasher sub-genre is my favorite, & the cool thing is that everyone seems to enjoy these films in a different way...even the less than stellar ones. I hope they keep the show going for years & years to come. I don't submit feedback as much as I'd like to, but they definitely deserve it for being consistently awesome. KUDOS gentlemen! Oh yeah.... Siouxsie > Toya, but both are better than Cyndi Lauper :)

jack carterNostalgic unashamed fun for a much maligned genre, with added "Carry on Films" fun.The A TEAM of slasher trash I have already listened to all of these podcasts and i am slowly going through them again. All the previous reviews have said it all. Addictive, informative, the four principals are all so passionate about their un-wholesome consumption of slasher greats and not-so-greats, that you can't help but be swept along in their excitement. They all seem to have such different personalities too which just helps to stir the pot where other podcasts just seem to be a group of guys sitting around constantly agreeing with each other. I am about the same age as Justin and Erik, so I remember the lies told on the playground about people who had supposedly seen slasher movies and would stand around spouting insane stories about Jason, Micheal, and their otherworldly kills. I remember how curious I was to see those films especially when the video nasties debacle made them impossible to find. Anyway - thanks for the podcast guys. I understand it is a labor of love and to see that you have already recorded over 80 hours of trashy fun for the great unwashed, with no sign of slowing down, is humbling. I urge anyone with even a passing interest in the genre to SUBSCRIBE. Now maybe a 'pete walker' special or a top three in BEST British Horror (slasher or otherwise) would be the icing on the cake. Cheers

ShanejmLove these guys!!!I just discovered this podcast and I love it! Great horror/slasher information and the guys are awesome!!! A great podcast for any serious horror buff!!! By far the best slasher podcast on the net! Thanks guys!
-
ugahushFINALLY!How wonderful it is to have a horror podcast dedicated solely to slasher films. I thought I had seen most slashers out there but you guys have really opened my eyes to many more films to explore. Keep up the good work. Cheers
-
DeathRattleAaronTHE Slasher Movie PodcastA great, highly recommended podcast for fans of slasher movies, or just fans of horror in general. The four hosts - representing the UK and the US - have great chemistry and are extremely knowledgeable in the slasher genre, and they dissect films in a way that not many podcasts do.
-
Fandog1233Made By Slasher Buffs For Slasher Buffs! The Hysteria Continues is an incredible podcast focusing on all the slashers you already love and are going to love. The four gentlemen reviewing each movie don't take their position that seriously, as they are constantly livening the experience up with witty humor and jokes. There are also interviews and "Top 3"'s nearly every episode, which makes an already fantastic podcast essential for every slasher fan, or horror fans in general. Keep up the great work!
-
Jpuck81Charming, Entertaining, Highly Informative! The Hysteria Continues is a highly informative podcast that goes into an extensive detail to the slasher classics of the slasher boom era of the early 80's, specifically targeting usually one feature per episode. Not a lot is known about the background of these films, and most of them have been rejected by even those who were responsible for making them. But the panel of podcasters have carefully and thoughtfully spent a great deal of efforts into digging deep to find a veritable source of information about these films that we've all so longed to hear! Complete with trailers, cast interviews, and a hilariously comedic edge, the guys over at THC should be proud of themselves for bringing something incredibly and informative to all us hardcore fans. Highly recommended!
-
DaveyYouThereA must listen for horror fansThese guys know what they're talking about and their podcasts aren't strictly reviews either. They are a celebration of the slasher film and those of us who grew up watching them and continue to watch them. A smashing good time. I've listened to almost all the current podcasts and eagerly await more.
-
mmmipaIf your a slasher fan Subscribe! Its the movies we love but with fans that love them as much as we do record them.Great times.
-
kabe gaplanthumbs up from one of your twelve fans...I've been very happy with these podcasts so far; a subject very dear to my heart, discussed by very enthusiastic experts from all parts of the world. I hope people with even just a casual interest in this subgenre check this podcast out, and definitely check out the website of the same name. Oh, and I've heard great things about some body count continuing on some other website that you should check out as well.
