    Very tailored advice
Write in! Jill and Mark give very reasonable and personalized advice. They are not trying to sell you on a specific lifestyle of money management, they try to meet everyone where they are at!

    Not another one…
I listened to Jill faithfully since before the pandemic and loved her straightforward approach and sound advice. It was great when she and Mark started doing daily shows during COVID. HOWEVER, the show has evolved to mostly feature callers with some combination of “I have $X million in retirement, 4 rental properties, and a pension… will I be okay?” Of course you will. Most people who listen to personal finance shows are doing so because they don’t have a multi-million dollar net worth. At a certain point, I just couldn’t handle yet another braggart seeking reassurance about their pile of money. You’re good, bro. It’s us non-zillionaires who need the advice. After years of daily listening, I’m out.

    Out of touch
Gave it a listen as she’s mildly interesting on TCAF. Conclusion — she was born into wealth — and has spent her career advising rich people how to get richer. She knows nothing else. Wouldn’t last 2 weeks getting eaten alive like the rest of us.

    My trusted personal economic advisor
My wife and I are in our 70’s and have listened to Mark and Jill for years. I appreciate their candor, their experience, and their humor! Their callers and interviews don’t always relate to where my wife and I are in life but I rarely listen without learning, or being reminded of something that is important. I don’t always agree but I do always respect their thoughts. They are truly interested in each listener’s unique situation and wellbeing. And I do enjoy the way they share their personal stories sprinkled with pets, hobbies, travel, and tria. Keep up the good work!

Ads detract from the quality of the podcast
Long time listener but I am having a hard time listening to all the repetitive ads that seem to drone on and on. Please consider making some adjustments. Thank you.

    Too many commercials
Love Jill’s advice, but there are too many long commercials especially since the episodes are so short.

My favorite personal finance show so far!
I heard you mention kids and money on today’s episode… Please please please!? I’ve been trying to find some sort of workbook activity for my 12-year-old this summer and I’m coming up empty. Thanks for all your help- Lynn from the Midwest.

    Somehow the brag fest got…worse?!
I love learning from experts, and the themes are great/relevant. However… The latest episode was a person pretending to be concerned with their early/young retirements. 200k+ in annual pensions. Social security. IRAs. TSPs. Savings. Multiple rental properties in addition to their primary residence. LOL. Something needs to change. Given this isn’t new feedback, I’m doubtful. They couldn’t make this less relatable.

    Brag fest
The majority of callers are just rich people showing false modesty to get Jill to complement them and stroke their egos. Typical caller: "Hi Jill. I'm 52 and scared that I'll starve in retirement. I have $3M in a 401k, $2M in a roth, $5M in cash, 6 paid off rental properties, a full pension, and a pink Lambo. I spend $6k a month and I have no debt. Am I ready to retire?" Jill: "You're doing amazing!"

I like Jill, but episodes are too short
Jills advice and way of talking is fantastic, love it. Mark is a great too and we could use more of him. Here is my gripe, the episodes are too short with at least 3min of commercials (always the same) at the beginning and a couple mins at the end (again the same and a recap). I suggest making the podcast 30min at least and easing up on the commercials. Otherwise i would give 5 stars

    Too many commercials
I love you and what you share in your show, however you have too many commercials that are too long.

    We need good people…
Jill, Why are you hating so much on jury duty? If you were accused of a crime, or someone sued you in a civil trial, wouldn’t YOU want the best possible people on your jury? I really love your show but it seriously saddens me to hear you joking about jury duty, and bad talking something that is so ESSENTIAL to our democracy. We need good people to promote the importance of democracy in our country, not to denigrate it. I am not being political in any way; I am a high school civics teacher and this just happens to be near and dear to my heart. Thank you for helping me be better prepared for retirement. I really love your show. Sincerely, A grateful citizen

    Humble brag
I find that a lot of the people that comes in on Jill’s show are the ones with the “humble brag syndrome”. The most recent one a guy with a pension of 100k a year and wondering if he could retire with that amount lol…really? You have to get on a podcast show to ask that question? Lol…the majority of the people they pick do not reflect on the majority of the population here in America when it comes to retirement, maybe try picking people that does not have more than a mil net worth

    Love the pod!
I’ve been listening for a couple years now but I wasn’t inspired to write a review until I found out today that Jill is a Swifty Lol! Just one more reason to love you guys! I love the no nonsense, sensible, non- sensationalist advice you give. I also love how positive the vibe is and I’ve learned a ton. I would like to see more guests that are struggling financially, as it seems to be mostly folks who have quite a bit of financial success already. Keep up the good work!

    Love
Jill… I listen to you and Mark every day… And learn so much… But I especially loved your “banter” at the end of your January 12 podcast about Peacock and the Chiefs game… I feel exactly the way you and Mark feel…I love Taylor Swift, but I am not joining Peacock for that one game… It is just the “principal of the thing“! you and Mark are the BEST! Love, Maureen💕

My favorite podcast. Jill won’t tell you what you want to hear, she tells you what you need to hear.
Jill is that person who gives you her unbiased opinion that’s in your best interests. I’ve learned so much about personal finance from listening to her podcast. Sometimes people come on who are well set for retirement. Feels like the humble brag a lot of times - you know ‘I got the 100k pension with health care, plus 3 mil in Roths, IRAs, brokerage, hsa plus rental income, blah blah, do I have enough to retire if I only spend $70k a year ‘ stuff. For reviewers who have commented on that as a turn-off, simply skip listening to those episodes, I do! All the other episodes have good content and you’ll learn something.

Absolutely love this podcast; I learn something every episode

One of The best money podcast
I love this podcast! I get so much info from it and recommend IT to everyone. Jill has advice that can help everyone.

    Great
Jill love the show but I have to be a hater. How did someone amass 7 million dollars in savings and not think he can retire. I know I know

    Addictive and truly inspiring 💫
Jill’s callers are often going through major resets in life. So it’s refreshing that her advice is compassionate. It’s down-home. It’s light-hearted. It’s professional. This show is addictive and truly inspiring: you wanna change your wealth and change your life after listening, thanks Jill and Mark!
  • csoul62
    Great but too much self-promotion
Love Jill, but the content-to-promotion ratio is seriously out of whack: a single episode can often be well over 50% off-topic fluff. Also, please feature more regular people and fewer high-earners, whose problems often feel unrealistic.

Jill I always enjoy your enthusiasm and New Yawk humor. Been a listener for a year or so and have digested so much good common sense info from the show. Gaba gaba hey! 🤣🤙 -Dangster

    Financial Friends
The podcasts that Jill and Mark put together make you feel like you are having a money chat with friends. They cover any and all topics you could ever possibly have questions about and give you many different ways to think about your own financial situation. They have become part of my daily routine and I recommended you make them part of yours as well?
  • PhillyDZ11
    Great content but……
Jill gives great advice except for when it comes to using a financial professional. For example, many do it yourself clients panicked and sold out of the stock market when Covid hit in March 2000 and did not get back in until the market recovered. That could be devastating to a retirement plan, and suddenly the 1% fee you pay a CFP to manage your assets doesn’t seem so costly. And that doesn’t even scratch the surface in terms of the value working with a CFP offers. Investor behavior is the biggest factor in the performance of a portfolio. A CFP can help investors avoid devastating behavioral mistakes. Can’t put a price on that.

Needs a broader demographic of callers
Jill is very smart, financially savvy and makes complex subjects easy to understand. I’ve been a daily listener for years (still am) and have learned a lot. But, make no doubt that this show caters to a fair (and growing) number of wealthy individuals. The reality is that most middle Americans don’t have fat pensions, second homes, 6 figure incomes, 7 figure retirement accounts nor 7 figure brokerage accounts. The podcast would be far more relatable, helpful (and have many more listeners) if it included a broader demographic of callers.

Financial Staple - Daily Dose of Great Advice
Very unique in the financial podcast realm; you get new callers daily with their life and questions, everyday voices bringing all the financial terms and strategies to life. Easily the best go-to for new and seasoned investors alike

Cup of Joe with Jill on the side
My mornings just aren’t complete without either. Jill’s no-nonsense approach makes her so relatable- and easy to follow along. I love the symbiosis between Jill and Mark. I always feel as if I’m sitting in on a conversation amongst friends, and dog lovers. Maybe one day I’ll call in…when my will and estate documents are complete. Keep up the great work!

    Only for the rich ...
I have to stop listening to this podcast because I just can't relate. Everyone seems to have these amazing pensions ;I didn't know those still existed!), a million dollars in investments, and make six figure + salaries. That's just not my world, unfortunately.

    Going Downhill
I made through the multi-million net worth folks who are “worried” because occasionally there was someone with great serious questions. But now it seems it’s several minutes of ads and Jill hawking her products to get through. I’m unfollowing today.

    Engaging and educational
This podcast has been amazingly helpful as I prepare for retirement. Both Jill and Mark are interesting and practical. Just hearing the daily question of ‘Do you have a will, etc’ motivated me to do so. I’m a fan of both of their podcasts. I gave my children and nephew her book!

    My favorite pod!
I listen to a ton of podcasts, and this is hands-down, my favorite along with Jill’s other podcast. Jill and Mark are so knowledgeable, and make learning about money fun. I am constantly referring all of my friends and family to this podcast and sending the individual episodes that I think would be interesting to them. Keep up the good work Jill and Mark.

The rich need to pay for good advice
Why would someone who makes several hundred thousand dollars, expects a pension and has millions in assets call a talk show for financial advice? Baffling. And “new Jill” says blow 5% of your savings on cryptocurrency. Horrible garbage show.
  • ex listener 45
    Hate to leave
Enjoyed the show for a while. Can’t handle the ads anymore. Listen to 2 minutes of outside ads to get to 2 minutes of Jill ads with pushy sell for book and paid webinars.
  • Bgirl2849
    Too many product promotions
The financial advice is okay -- pretty simplistic and mainstream. She's not as annoying as other financial podcast hosts. However, her personal endorsement of commerical products is ANNOYING. I understand commercials -- podcasts need to pay the bills. But when someone who is supposed to be trusted for financial advice gets paid to recommend products....no. Just NO.

Aunt Jill Calls it Like it is
Jill is no nonsense and knows what’s what when it comes to finance. She’ll tell you the truth and always gives a great plan to her callers. Started listening in March 2020 and look forward to her podcast everyday. Cousin Mark keeps the show rolling and gives his financial input to make this an outstanding podcast. Thanks again for providing solid guidance and good humor every day!

    Jill is the best!
Somehow I picture Jane Lynch when listening. I know that’s not Jill but somehow that image helps to whip me into financial shape! 😄😄 I just got Jill’s new book and she’s so pretty!! Now I want an update on Allen from NY! I feel like that’s the advice that I need right now. Hi Mark.
  • Perma Link
    She’s clueless
Listen to Money Girl, she has knowledge and class. This Podcast is a waste. Her guest are wealthy, her knowledge useless.

    All About Rich People
Jill is lively and engaging. She’s a great host. Alone, she is 5 stars. However, nearly all of the live guests are wealthy people with multiple millions saved obsessing about whether they need more millions. They don’t have money problems. Snooze. So the show is not useful for regular people.

    Great Podcast
Mark and Jill are the ‘Deliah’ of finance.
  • semi-retired and having a ball
    Common sense financial guidance
Jill and Mark provide non- judgemental support and information that help individuals make good financial decisions- without the holier than thou advice that other so called advisors provide. Listening to this podcast is a starting point. It is the responsibility of listeners to then delve into their own unique situation and do their own analysis to make decisions.

Even other CFPs listen this show!
Great contents with her fun personality. As a CFP, I listen this show to learn too! Jill and Mark are the best.

    Not for the Middle Class
I really like Jill. I'd like to give her five stars. But every time I tune in to hear each listeners situation I find that none of them really have any financial worry. for the record I was really fortunate to buy 2 condos near the beach in Santa Cruz 16 years ago. I have a modest amount in investments and I just MIGHT be able to retire next year. even though I've lost so much in the market. So ....I saw today's show "Can I retire at 62?" It was the perfect topic for me. However if you listen to the caller go on and on about he and his wife's assets, which seem like it would never end, I realized how disingenuous his call was. Please. Cut me a break. Cottages here, cottages there, hundreds of thousands of dollars in various accounts plus pensions, and he's worried about retiring at 62? how could that small amount fit into his scenario meaningfully? I have yet to hear a show that would be helpful to anyone in the middle class. In fact some of it's not even helpful for the upper middle class.

    Great podcast
Recently found this podcast. I’ve been jumping around for about 4 years absorbing different personal finance shows. “Jill on Money”, and “Eye on Money”, are two of my favorites! Excellent information relayed by good people, in my opinion. Lots of callers and no judgement by the hosts. I’m a truck driver in the midwestern U.S.A. The 2am to 2pm, 12 hour shift is tough on tired eyes. This show keeps my interest and helps keep me motivated about tomorrow and beyond! Thanks and keep up the great work!
  • No props 4 neurotic rich..
Jill is fantastic…callers not so much
Love Jill’s manner, but I cant believe the number of callers who have zero money problems that make it through the screen. The “ Oh yeah, and I have X million(s) in this account…and I am SO worried” gets old in a hurry. Makes quick work of todays episode!

    Excellent Financial Advice
I have been a loyal fan of Jill (and now Mark) for years. She provides practical albeit conservative advice on a wide variety of financial situations and is very entertaining while educating us. The listener must be careful in extrapolating their advice to the listener’s own financial situation, but the program definitely provides great food for thought.

No real help for late savers (in their 50’s)
It’s not fun or helpful for listeners who want real help to get started saving in their 40’s & 50’s. It’s geared for the few people in their 30’s—-who already have—thousands of dollars invested 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Fantastic Show ✅❤️
