unclejamoUnforced error…Though I admit to being a long-term listener to your podcast, I was especially disappointed to hear the dig on Richard Gasquet at the start of today’s edition- yes, Catherine, that was you- it was a needlessly thoughtless comment that went straight into the net…. You guys can do better than this, I was looking forward to hearing comments on Rafa only to be subjected to sophomoric pettiness.

thegreasemanLost a little respectHi—I am indeed a tennis nerd and have always loved the commentary and insights coming from David, Catherine, and Matthew. I do have to say it is disappointing to hear their take on Sinner’s drug violation—yes, they believe Sinner when he says he did not have any knowledge of the events that led to his twice-failed doping tests (as do I). But this objectively does not make him any less guilty. I am a big Sinner fan, but I cannot accept that he has been let off the hook in a way that Halep, Sharapova and others were not. While the TP trio may secretly share this opinion, that they do not express this openly while openly supporting Sinner’s explanation is an abdication of their journalistic responsibility. Otherwise, they should just question the entire testing protocol and advocate for the justice of all previous known violators. Another option would be to comment *only* on the play itself. It’s a very sad state of affairs when Nick Kyrios, of all people, has the fortitude to call out the absolute hypocrisy of the system. I will still listen to TPP, but have lost a measure of respect for these three when it comes to their opinions on the politics and governance of this amazing sport.

80'sVillager5 Sets ForeverJust because you don’t want to work late nights is not a reason to rob tennis fans of the epic drama of 5 Set Matches such as Nadal v Medvedev or Agassi v Sampras in Australia or Seles v Sabatini and Seles v Capriati at Madison Square Garden. You’re being selfish and foolish. I would have loved an in form Madison Keys to have another set when she got nervous and was blown off the court in semi v Barty on Rod Laver.

Smashleen101Overall... FineI am a huge tennis fan and enjoy having a pod to listen to that covers everything in depth, but after 3 years of listening I have to say I find Catherine insufferable. She speaks over her co hosts and guests, doesn't allow for debate or discussion and her bias against certain players is so transparent it's painful. I find Matt smart and insightful, David enthusiastic and delightful. The entitled complaining about scheduling I s beyond annoying - as though her enjoyment is more important than global audiences.

ChrisM608Tennis nerd heavenI listen to every episode on my bike commute and genuinely feel like I’m listening to three friends of mine! Can’t wait for the dailies from the US Open!
-
ChrisfromthesouthToo politically biased and whinyThey love to complain, and it gets annoying quick. Hardly any tennis analysis. They complain a lot about scheduling and political views. If you want tennis podcast that focuses on tennis then try Monday Match Analysis (my favorite) or Served with Andy Rodrick. Both are way better.

Jennifer AllmanThanks!Listening to your podcast is the highlight of my day! I have been listening for quite a while, but wanted to just say thanks for the wonderful insight you bring. It feels like us listeners are there with you! You’re full of truth, positivity, and humor. Something the world needs more of. Can’t wait for the next listen 😊

HighPerch1956Bravo !Love the show. Can’t wait to wind down for the evening, put in my ear buds and catch with with the day in tennis though i had already watched most of the matches and knew what happened. . An avid tennis fan since age 15. I cannot get enough and thankfully for you I get one more “fix” dose before I put the day to bed. Keep it up. Love the British humor.

HpalmspringsBravoYour podcast is a great supplement to the all the tennis matches now available to watch nonstop. My dogs and I are big fans. About the Raducano pull out, you have missed the ugly truth . Murray's pointless and entitled decision to one last opportunity to bask in glory by exploiting ERs return to high level competition and her obvious appeal to the crowds showed no consideration of the risk she would be taking. Not only would she have to play hard but to participate in the ridiculous Andy veneration celebration, but jeopardize her singles effort. Not long ago I heard him make comments that implied she was a head case because of her failed efforts to return to competition . It's not as if Murray played token doubles when he was competing at Wimbledon, a respected choice. Good for her for being a pro and reversing her bad acceptance of his Royal invitation.

LostInGeorgiaYour companion guide to the MajorsWhile I always enjoy the weekly episodes, the daily episodes during the Majors is where they truly shine! As soon as coverage ends for the day, I switch over to Youtube for their thoughtful commentary to wrap up my tennis day. It’s made getting into the big Tourneys so much fun and a more complete experience. 10/10 recommend!

LittlecapricornPredictablePredictable and biased.

JulieJB1234567Catherine again talking US politicsWhy can’t she just stick to tennis? She acts like she’s elitist and above her listeners. Earth to Catherine there are conservatives in the US who like tennis. Wed love a break from “tolerant” liberals who think they know best. That’s why many of us listen to sports. Putting down your audience continuously is just so unsettling. I don’t get why? You can’t help that others have differing opinions?

katiatrusovaOverall podcast is great, but they have their favorites, and it is disturbing!Overall podcast is great, but they have their favorites, and it is disturbing. Catherine clearly doesn’t like Iga, her style, everything about her, despite her perfect matches, she always finds something negative about her that she doesn’t like, either her answer to press, or on court post match interview, and always gets so excited when Iga looses, it is very annoying, because you want to hear more analysis of the game, rather the negative energy about certain players, specifically number one in the world!
-
@jay_lassIncreasingly rancidAnd what’s the deal with making fun of peoples’ appearance? Referring to someone’s “regrettable haircut” is an unforced error. I would say “do better” but I’m not sure that’s true trajectory they’re on right now.

rtir2024…Just a reminder that Saudi Arabia is not the only place in the world where human rights are imperiled. Tennis goes on in plenty of problematic places in the world, including right-wing majority-White places. The focus on a Muslim non-White country is starting to feel uncomfortable.

piamacGoran interview was the bomb!Great insight on Novak… yep - still not a fan. Still love Goran though.

Phil ByersThey make tennis even more fun!If you’re looking for thoughtful adults to provide fun and engaging analysis on tennis, this is it. Catherine is a great host, and the big/brother little/sister relationship between her and David (along with the years they’ve worked together) really makes it feel like a family. Throw in young Matt and his incredible ability to bring fresh takes on what he sees through stats/data and you have magic. These three love tennis, and it shows in every episode. They don’t take themselves too seriously, they don’t take the game too seriously - they just make tennis more fun. And they have lovely voices that just make a guy feel good. Thanks to them for somehow making me love tennis even more. Oh - and their paid (“Friends of the Tennis Podcast”) level is 100% worth it. The “Re-Lived” episodes are incredible. Just when I think they can’t top themselves - they do. No notes guys - please keep doing it forever.
-
PJ2345It’s FineGenerally good content and insights but sometimes they spend too much time complaining about stuff.

Luv Tennis 1My favorite podcastI’ve been listening to David, Catherine and Matt for three years. They’re chemistry is fantastic and always puts me in a wonderful mood. I look forward to their podcasts, live shows and weekly newsletters. They are the best!

朱清风The Gold Standard of Tennis PodcastingEspecially during slams, even when I watch every ATP/WTA singles match I’m invested in, follow all of the news, and engage in all of the gossip on Tennis Twitter, I can still rely on learning something new and enjoying humorous, expert insight every single evening with the gang. Outside of the slams, it’s arguably even more exciting, as I can keep up with the entire tour even if I’m only catching a few select matches per week. Hats off to Catherine, David, Matt, as well as Matthew and Hannah. Support them by joining the Friends of the Tennis club and you’ll get to explore some of their special, exclusive content for just the price of a coffee. — @mnczuba

drbsavvyFor the love of tennis!!!A full fledge of fantastic takes on the game that connect me to the tour. The personalities of the podcast are interesting, honest, fun, and smartly contagious to listen to. As a long time fan of the sport, the tennis podcast is a valuable asset to those who are following the tour and for those who are fringe supporters will have a greater appreciation for tennis after listening.
-
Dana L1985Best tennis insight and the most fun listen!David, Catherine, and Matt make for compelling weekly listens and daily during slams. The content available for friends of the show keeps me going in between. Lively conversations among people who palpably like and respect each other. I am grateful to spend so much time with their smart civilized and so so funny voices in my head.

CRBV87I can’t do Mondays without tennis podcast !I love the show and all aspects of it. I’m so glad they release on Mondays, they make it a bit more bearable!
-
Best tennis podcast out thereBest tennis podcast for a tennis fanI absolutely love this podcast. I started listening in late 2018 on my honeymoon, back when Matt was Grad Matt and I’ve been hooked ever since. I look forward to every new episode they put out and i love the fun relationship these three clearly have.
-
jss649Amazing podcast for tennis fansGreat trio of hosts that liven up all that is going on in the tour.
-
joetad30My favorite podcast !!The best go sleep podcast!!
-
ihatetennischannel7Very disappointingMaking jokes on episode 1171 about “making women cry” was awful. Abuse is nothing to joke about. I’m so disappointed in all y’all.
-
shannonreverettBest tennis podcastI got into tennis a couple of years ago, and searched for tennis podcasts so I could learn more and just generally fuel my new obsession. I listened to many tennis podcasts, but this is the only one I never miss an episode of. Aways entertaining and interesting, and I love the trio of Catherine, David, and Matt too
-
Ciao for now!Whining whinersCould you possibly be any more whiny about the scheduling? Mostly I enjoy the podcast but seriously Catherine’s whining is boring. If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, stop doing it! So glad Australia and Canada are great countries. WTH…
-
Beforetime3344Fantastic!Please do more shows! Great analysis and commentary. Tennis lovers’ #1 pod!
-
Agnes and StanleyLove the Tennis PodcastI have just completed one full year of listening to the Tennis Podcast! I recommend listening to this great trio of banter on Tennis. They have a great sense of humor ! I mostly agree with their take in the tennis at large. Even though they are not Sinner fans! I’m a huge fan! Cheers! Sandra
-
gogulotuBest part of my weekI absolutely love this podcast. All three of the hosts are knowledgeable, funny and warm. They create compelling content every single week and I never miss a single episode. For a tennis fanatic like myself, this is a great highlight of my week. I love learning about the politics in the tennis world in addition to learning about the ins and outs of tennis from week to week.
-
Bonnie410Enjoy enjoyIm quie addicted to this podcast. I wish it were daily. It offers a Britsh perspective and news you wouldnt get elsewhere.
-
tennisplayer321This is what Casper Rudd would call: Tennis Twitter Experts.I used to listening to every episode of the Tennis Podcast. But I stopped listening a while ago. Too much gossip, near zero tennis technical analysis. Unbearable overhyping British players. This is not a professional podcast.
-
Manny CRBest tennis podcast!Hand down — thanks!!
-
BenHuang123Love this one especially those interviewsLove this show since 2020. The episode with Robin Solderling interview is my favorite. It will be great to add more episodes with player interviews like that to cover those unforgettable moments of tennis history
-
DchhankEgo, game, set , matchWhat happened to the Tennis Podcast? It pains me to say that Catherine’s ego diminishes the once lively banter. I’m a feminist, but Catherine’s simplification of complex geopolitical issues, women’s rights and the economics of professional sports is so irritating that I often turn away. Suggestion… rotate the moderator so Matt, David & Catherine have a voice. And, Catherine, stop putting down David. You sound ageist.
-
do00001Generally quite goodThe pod is generally quite good. Great coverage and typically great analysis. One major hole is the unquestioned Joker worship. Would love a broader perspective on how his approach is not sportsman like to, at times, rule breaking. Shouldn’t celebrate these sons when they come under such dubious circumstances.
-
KMW73FantasticLove this podcast - highlight of my week when a new episode is released. And the daily shows during the slams are a must listen.
-
user2(63$&5)&Outstanding Tennis podcast (fewer politics, please)These hosts have lovely personalities, and I enjoy the witty banter and inside jokes. I would love to hear more in-depth technical analysis. Particularly enjoy when they have special guests on to diversify opinions and bring in new perspectives and experience. The hosts genuinely seem to enjoy each other’s company and friendship. The only downside is the ever-increasing focus on politics. Sometimes light hearted commentary can turn into what almost seems like a lecture to listeners. Many of us agree with your political perspectives, but nevertheless wish that they would not consume so much of the airtime.
-
Maura FitzJust So GoodCatherine, Matt and David are delightful, knowledgeable, funny and insightful. This podcast is a great way to stay up to date with WTA and ATP happenings and results. Their daily podcasts during slams is a game changer. Thank you to all of them.
-
Ekim68Best way to keep up on Tennis without Cable TVI followed the French and now Wimbledon championships and the hosts are engaging, real, and funny. The insights and takes on the players, especially the 2nd and 3rd tier players, is unmatched. I have learned a lot about those players and now I have hopes for the the future of tennis when the last of the big 3 retires. It is the best, thank you.
-
AJB2075My favorite podcastIntelligent analysis, companionable vibes, deep appreciation for the game. I love their weekly shows throughout the year and absolutely live for the daily shows during the majors. I heartily disagree with other commenters who take objection to the show’s politics—I think Catherine, David, and Matt take on important issues with thoughtfulness, respect, and urgency that’s often sadly merited by the society we live in. I’ve recommended the show to countless friends and am excited to continue to do so!
-
TrueLizAlways a integral part of my Grand Slam experienceLove the daily podcasts during the slams, and then the weekly ones the rest of the year. They have such a good rapport with each other, which always makes it a fun listen.
-
FunSized (:One of the reasons I’m such a big Tennis fanI started watching Tennis within the last 4 years and this podcast has added so much to my love of the sport. Grand Slams are made so much better by my excitement for the daily pods and there is no where else I’d rather get my tennis news! Catherine, David and Matt are an absolute joy and I can’t thank them enough for how much they’ve added to my enjoyment of tennis as a new fan!
-
JaySchaeThe best in the businessThese 3 make for an entertaining, often insightful post match day analysis, topped off with sometimes hilariously calamitous tournament predictions… which eventually lead to omni-directional sh.t-giving on a following episode. A breath of fresh air, compared to other erroneously overconfident tennis commentators (not naming names, Chris Fowler). One or all of the three alway goes the extra mile to get the sports journalistic scoop on current tennis events, while bringing humanity to the matter. I very much enjoy having you guys in my ear.
-
halligallivalleyChange of heartThis podcast is a balm, especially during slams. The interpersonal dynamics are lively, cozy and charming, with the occasional prickly or awkward exchange, but they’re like family, so that comes with the territory, I would think. They have created a real community of modern tennis lovers, so all credit to them for that! (And anyone who dislikes this podcast for political reasons is creepy.)
-
emma926489It’s the bestI’m a long-time listener, love the regular episodes and all the new stuff you’re doing with Friends of the show and Live From Wimbledon. This podcast adds so many extra layers to my tennis fandom: laughter, insight, historical context, political advocacy, and just sharing your love of the game! Your friendship comes across so naturally and is a joy to listen to. Thanks for everything you do!
-
JCWFSMBest tennis podcast! When I am having a bad day I listen to Matt, Catherine and David, and my mood is automatically lifted! I will stay up late in the US to get their take on tennis scores for the day. It is my dream to someday meet the dream team at a live tennis event-maybe Indian Wells next spring?!?!
