Long time listener; the show is amazing
Chris and Mike and now just Mike brought/bring so much to this show. They spotted docker way before it was cool and interviewed the team behind the project. Throughout the years they’ve had awesome interviews, great banter, Jar-Jar guest appearances, it’s just such a good show. The back catalog is great for understanding what’s going on in the world and how it will affect both tech workers and the companies they work for. 7/5 stars.

    Smarter than me
I consider myself to be pretty intelligent, listening to a wide variety of podcasts and reading lots of books. But I appreciate being able to listen to two people who are definitely smarter than me.

    Fun show, not much value
I like Chris and Mike. They are pretty funny. The show covers some topics like new hardware coming out and listener questions. Lately they always end up talking about how much Mike likes his M1 Mac and Objective C. Or the robe that they sold. I like Linux Unplugged a little better since there’s always more stuff happening over in Linux land. There’s definitely some crossover since that’s where Chris’s heart is. Listener questions are not super great since Mike is an owner of his own software dev shop and Chris has his own radio program, so it’s not super relatable to people in the industry today. Soft Skills Engineering is better for that. They also don’t dive into too many technical things like IEEE’s Software Engineering Radio does. Sometimes they might get into technical things if they made the news. Overall, worth a listen if you want to have something on while you are driving or doing chores, but you probably won’t get much out of it as a software dev.

    This Chris guy
This Chris guy never talks about anything useful. He just visits with his hosts. Currently, whenever I see anything by jupiter broadcasting, I steer away.

    Too much Chris.
Chris talks too much about his stuff and not about actual development / coding. For example on the hacktoberfest episode, Chris talks for 10 mins before the first mention of the main topic. I’m starting to see this tendency in all the shows he’s on. I found a much better coding podcast called CodeNewbie. And there are a few more that actually do talk about actual coding issues. The hour long podcasts are too much. All the info can be delivered in less than 30 mins if you take out Chris being a Chatty Cathy.

    Killed off your best show....
Jupiter Broadcasting killed off its best show. Not sure what to listen to, but the other content doesn’t interest me as much as this show did.

    Beyond the Code
Great show for anyone with even a mild interest in software development or information technology. This podcast is very much about the culture of software development, so whether you’re trying to break into the software development scene or are just curious about the world of programmers, this podcast is a great listen. Most importantly, the hosts are hilarious and they have the best memes. Keep on rocking guys.

    Inexplicable hatred for the GPL
I get it. It's not for everyone. But I don't need to listen to an hour long rant about it. Cutting each other off, arguing in an unfriendly way... yikes.

    Not Just For Coders
Even though I am a SysAdmin, I really have come to enjoy this show the pst couple months. It not only provides a unique look at technology news but helps me understand how the Dev side of the house looks at things, making me a better communicator.

Can never wait for the next episode.
I love this podcast. One of the best things is how they discuss things around technology that are very important to know about but not enough people talk about.

    Excellent podcast
Just recently started listening to this podcast. Love the discussion about a wide range of technologies related to software development. I also really enjoy and benefit from the discussions about the business side of software development.

Haven’t Missed An Episode In Three Years!
Really enjoying recent episodes with focus on mobile and wearables. Also good insight regarding changes at Microsoft. It’s great to hear Mike enthused with the launch of Buccaneer Tech. As always, you’ll learn about tools, techniques and technology stacks to help with your next project.

Finally a Code show for Noobs!
As a self taught, and newly changed career as a developer, I can’t get enough content. However, most shows are focused on experienced programmers. This one however, is different. It's code talk for the new guys, and its refreshing. Well done gents. On a side note: You mentioned that most listeners are Python fanatics and that they have a distaste for Ruby. Im happy to say Im a Jr. Rails Developer and love it. So don’t be hesitant to push Ruby/Rails talks. I still have many episodes to listen to so it may have been covered, but it would be nice to hear some convo’s about jobs for noobs and what is expected for a Jr. Developer in those positions?...

    Must Have Podcast for Developers
Coder Radio is an excellent show for new and upcoming developers that helps let us gain some insight from an experienced and established developer who has successfully been in the market for many years. Michael covers the issues he sees as relevant from a very pragmatic standpoint erring on the side of provable success over future possibilities. The fact that this viewpoint goes against most developers ideas of what is great is exactly what makes this podcast so valuable. By receiving a weekly dose of “down-to-earth” commentary, developers are more likely to temper their decisions and improve overall in their own quality. In addition to the development tips and cautions, Michael and Chris cover recent events to keep the show relevant to the times and allow us to stay up to date with what’s going on in our industry. Due to time crunches I have been facing lately, this show has become my primary source of information for what’s going on and so far I have not been disappointed. I can’t help but highly recommend that this podcast be a part of every developers Monday as it helps bring me to a far better frame of mind on a typically depressing workday!

    Fantastic Discussion
This show consistently has interesting discussions about the art and business of software development from the vantage points of Mr. Fisher and Mr. Dominic, who often manage to see things from a different perspective than I would initially. I think the show is a great resource, not just for programmers but for anyone interested in the world of software in general. It helps that Chris is an awesome producer of content too. Thanks for the fantastic show guys, I look forward to the next show every week.

    Relatable, funny, and informative.
I love it! Both of the hosts seem to be very intelligent and funny. I most certainly did not write this review because they said to in episode 94! ;D haha I recommend this to ANY developer!

    Nice balance
This has become one of my weekly favorite podcasts. Strikes a nice balance between technology and business issues and provides insight into how part of the software development ecosystem works.

    Great podcast
Excellent production quality and topics I find interesting. I recently started at episode 1 and managed to get through half of them in a few weeks. Keep it up.

Great dev podcast that covers a lot of ground - well!
Really enjoy the various perspectives that Michael and Chris bring to bear on practically any programming-related topic (including coffee!) that comes up in the news, comes to mind, or that they get wind of in feedback/emails. This podcast is insightful, entertaining, and really makes me think - I look forward to listening (& watching when I can) every week. Keep up the great work guys!

Virtual Water Cooler hang-out for Coders
Nice place to hang out for those heavily involved in coding, or those thinking about it.

    Listen to these guys.
A little geared to newbies but a lot of good insight on practical business aspects and the kind of judgements you need to make about how work is going to work. Managers and leads could benefit from listening to this to remind themselves of what the folks in the trenches are thinking.
  • Domovoid
    An idealist and a realist.
This is more about how general concepts and some tech news affect developers, not so much about how to code which is actually alot more interesting and sustainable (to me) then lectures and how to's. It's nice having a podcast where the hosts can share different views on a subject and still maintain a positive (mostly) dialogue.

    Great show
Casual and real with both high- and low-level shop talk. Great perspective.

    Awesome Show!
Very developer oriented most weeks, but they change the pace very often so that the show is not boring. This is an awesome show, recommended for any level of developer.

    Great show
Knowledgeable hosts, interesting topics, always a good listen on my commute
  • gogowitz10
    awesome show
love the topics covered, something for everyone in there. don't expect to hear code snipers or see them on the video file, there's plenty of tutorials on the you tubes for that
  • tony.ae
    Great Show, catch every episode
Really great show. Loads of information for newbie developers, like me. The hosts have clear voices and very knowledgeable. I get excited every week when the new show comes out. I wish I could watch it live but work schedule doesn't let me.

    Best Programmer Podcast
Awesome podcast for coding and programming. I listen to it at work. It's not boring like you may think... "Oh they're talking about CODE? On an AUDIO podcast?" It's all about the bird's eye view of how to manage you systems and be a better programmer. Also, it's great because Chris is pretty new to programming and Mike is battle-hardened, so Chris has all the good questions to newer programmers and Mike has all the good answers.
  • CotterPate
Only two in but so far it's great!
    Well done!
  • RenX99
Great show for those interested in development!
I've been listening since this show started and I'm excited to see where this goes. I like to topics they have covered, and the future topics hinted sound great. I like how Chris, while being technologically savvy, is a programming 'newb' and Mike is the old veteran. This dynamic gives many opportunites to share many different perspectives while at the same time being interesting and entertaining. Great job guys, keep up the good work.
