    Unique Disney insights
Recently found this podcast and have been listening to a bunch of old episodes. Love the focus on how people make plans and then the reality of the pivot. Preparing for an October trip with kids and hoping to learn from this Disney agility!

    Truth!
I appreciate how this podcast depicts - as much as possible - what a WDW trip is really like. The gap between post-trip reality and pre-trip fantasy can get real big. This podcast helps close that gap.

    Fantastic
This podcast is among the best out there for Disney World. So articulate and helpful.

    Amazing
I absolutely love this podcast! The trip reports are so informative, and I always look forward to them. They are my little escape during busy weeks. I also love the variety of different types of trips that are featured . It’s opened my mind to some ideas for future Disney vacations.

    My go to Disney podcast
I will still give this podcast a 5 but sometimes the short delay that happens between each guest sentence is frustrating to listen to. It doesn’t always happen but it was very noticeable on Matt’s RunDisney podcast.

Best Disney podcast for trip planning
I have been listening to Shannon since the before times and absolutely fell in love with her trip reports. They are my favorite part. A few years ago I went back and listened to all the past trip reports and now cannot wait for a new episode to release on Tuesdays. I get super excited when they are extra long (2.5 to 3.5 hrs) because I listen to and from work. They help me to pass the time and I have gained so much planning knowledge that I have put to good use in several of my recent trips. Thank you WDW Prep and Shannon!!

    One Hour Show Best
    Thank you.

    Nice Podcast, but ….
I liked the podcast channel, but it’s too too long winded on general talk, to be honest, boring. Not bad, but had to stop midway thru, got too bored and impatient to continue to listen.

    Best trip reports
Give me a 3 hour trip report and I am completely in. Full disclaimer, I usually don’t listen to the non-trip report episodes.

    Great trip reports!
I really enjoy the lengthy trip reports and details I learn from this podcast. It seems that in the past year or so, the editing on them hasn’t been right. It will skip back and repeat parts of someone talking and then jump ahead and back. I listen on Apple, so maybe it’s an Apple problem, but it does make things confusing for the listener. I would also love a better mix of DAS vs. non-DAS reports so we can hear advice about using Genie+ when DAS isn’t an option.

    Planners, Congratulations! You’ve found it!
This is THE spot to plan your next Disney Trip. I started listening over a year ago and plowed through all of the episodes chock full of tips and advice, joined the Patreon, and attended a meet up! WDW Prep has saved us so much time and unnecessary mistakes. This team has tons of experience at making your vacation efficient and fun. Thanks Shannon, Heather, and team! Y’all are the best! Fun, positive, helpful
Shannon works hard to research, keep abreast of, and communicate the best ways to plan visits to Walt Disney World. Her shows are very inclusive of the concerns and needs of all sorts of different people and families. Plus, Shannon shares a highly positive attitude and creates shows that are fun to listen to. Whether you are considering or going to WDW for the first time, or the first time in a while, are a WDW veteran or “repeat offender,” or just like to keep in touch with the world of Disney Parks, Cruises, DVC, and ABD, WDW Prep To Go is a valuable resource PLUS a ton of fun!

    My go-to planning podcast
This is my go-to podcast and website for planning trips to Walt Disney World. It is also good just to keep track of what is new and happening in the wonderful world of Disney.

The best Disney podcast out there - informative and very entertaining, especially the trip reports. I look forward to the episodes each week!

    Long time listener
I have loved this podcast for years. Shannon and her team put in the work! They are all wonderful and Shannon is a great host for the podcast. The trip reports are the best out there because of Shannon. 5 stars. Shante you stay!

    Beware of their Patreon Group
I was a member of their Patreon group until today. It was disclosed that they had a separate, more exclusive, group that most of the members didn’t know about. I made some comments about the separate group and then posted about it. Nothing was out of line, but I was immediately banned from the Patreon group (which I pay for). Then, Shannon posted a video in the group explaining that she had blocked me and why. The thing about it is that she didn’t tell the truth. She stated that she blocked me for being out of line, posting about it in other groups, messaging people, etc. None of that is why she blocked me. Apparently you cannot disagree with anything say or you will be banned and defamatory statements will be made. She even mentioned my name. I would be very hesitant about listening to this show or joining their Patreon.

Valuable information with some distractions uhh tx C
The podcast is wonderful for its comprehensive information. You will learn a lot. I have even taken a note or two while listening. This would have been a 5 star rating except for one thing: the host smacks her lips and swallows loudly thought the production. I find it very distracting and I don’t think that I’m alone in this. I would like to recommend that the host find software or a device to mute these sounds so that I can continue to listen without cringing. Thank you!

    Used to love it
I used to love this podcast, but now it’s hard to listen to with Shannon giving her political opinion in almost every episode. I would have loved to keep Disney content separate from politics.
  • rampage watson
Love her voice and speaking style
I know this is silly, but I really love how she speaks like a normal person. Lol! I feel like so many podcast hosts (especially Disney travel hosts) sound like Minnie Mouse herself. She does a great job too. Or talking over people or just talking to have fluff content.

    Great pod!
I am a Jedi Disney planner thanks to this podcast!

    Great podcast
Shannon is very knowledgeable about Disney and detail oriented. Her podcasts are interesting and extremely helpful. The trip reports are lengthy and a good listen.

It okay for a podcast and kinda cool

    Consistently Great
I just listened to the “Traveling on the Spectrum” podcast and this was so well done. I have a son on the spectrum as well, we’ve used DAS multiple times and WDW makes everything so magical. We call the DAS return times “J-passes” (our son’s name starts with J) and it makes him feel so special. This episode really knocked it out of the park and you should be very proud of it.

    Great resource for planning
Our family took our first trip to Disney in November of 2022. We had the most fantastic time—largely due to the advice/ideas from this podcast. I still love listening to the trip reports!

Has to be a pillar in your Disney planning
Congrats Shannon et al on reaching the century mark. There are a bunch of planning reference / resource guides. WDW Prep is my favorite because it’s accurate, timely and fun Adventures with Shannon and Heather always make me laugh. My favorite is when you rented the travel trailer. The new short videos are a perfect amuse bouche for new folks and a reminder of places I love for us been going 50 years types.

Trip Reports Galore with a first rate host!
All of the content is high quality, but I’m especially loving the trip reports! This is an absolutely awesome Disney World podcast, and the host, Shannon, is wonderful. She is organized, knowledgeable, smart, on the ball, and really knows how to deliver a great listening experience. 10/10 recommend!

    Helpful thoughts
I would like to see more trip reports from “typical” families. There have been a lot of exceptions on recent trip reports, DAS, international, singles, etc. I feel like families with little ones need a lot more planning than those that are going as an individual or just with a significant other. Those have more leniency to change plans on the fly. I’m not sure that I’ve taken but maybe 1 tip from the last two or three months worth of trip reports that would be helpful for my upcoming trip. I know there are more out there trying to plan besides “typical families”, but it would be helpful if every report wasnt the exception traveler. I’m not a troll and have never tried to write anything negative for you guys, as this site has always been so beneficial, just hoping this is beneficial criticism for all.

    Love the prepping
I love your podcast. Thanks for educating your listeners from the planning process to the actual day to day. Excellent learning tool. Im planning my vacation in February 2023 and have a full list of hints from your podcasts.

    Great podcast!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years. I really enjoy the trip reports and also the informative episodes (the Gideon’s one was awesome!)
  • MelandBry
Best trip reports + great bonus interviews!
Shannon’s the best - smart, consistently has the most accurate info for trip planning, genuinely interested in people’s trips and helping them figure out the right fit for THEM, and honest about her own values and passions, and wanted to jump on to say how much I loved the recent interview with the owner of Gideon’s - I love his thinking and way of doing business - one more reason to get your cookie and cold brew fix there! Really great to find out the back story and his business philosophy - such a good episode!

    Informative and Fun!
I absolutely love listening to Shannon’s podcasts. There is always so many tips and tricks to make our trips better and easier. My favorites are the Trip Reports as I really enjoy hearing how others handle their Disney vacations.

This woman is the perfect example of a hoarder not being considerate of other people for dining. 4 reservations for the same restaurant on different days for ‘perfect pic lighting’? Not cool. This is why people can’t even book 1 meal there cause she is hoarding. I love the show and learned a lot but people like her I just shake my head at per privilege.
  • Alma_girls
The only Disney podcast I listen to!
    Love Shannon’s podcast style!

It is 😃 amazing, I have no idea what the 1-4 star rating is, it is a five ⭐️ thing. I love learning about other peoples trips we take one once or twice a year. I love the fact when they share the fast passes or quick to get in. I love Shanon and her people that she picks to tell about there Disney trip. They always have a great story to tell and shanon always is exited in the told story. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎❣️💕💞💓💗💖💘💝💟😀😃😄😁😆😊🙃😉🙂😇

    Great listen
I really appreciate the amount of information and detail you and your guests share. I’ve been listening for about 6 months now and I’m caught up and can’t wait for a new trip repot!

    The best
I love all the content from Shannon and WDW prep but the trip reports are the best!!

    Bravo!
    REALLY enjoying your podcasts!!!
  • didjfnficjsns
    Love it!
I listen to a lot of Podcasts and I love the very detailed trip reports without all the fluff and silly jokes from the host. I think it’s fantastic that Shannon let’s her guests dive deep and do the talking rather than constantly interrupting with her own commentary like I often hear on other podcasts (one in particular where the host tells the same stories over and over again). This one is my favorite!
  • Elizabeth E, Phoenix AZ
    Love it!
Shannon’s podcast is detailed and fun! I love the trip reports but especially enjoy the snippets of audio from park days and other travel events. My only criticism is that I wish there was more Disneyland and Universal Studios content. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this podcast, Shannon! Can’t wait to hear more coverage about WDW 50th anniversary events.
  • KimmyJ56789
Love the trip reviews, but Shannon sounds so bored!
I love hearing individual trip reports, but it drives me crazy that Shannon just sounds completely bored and uninspired! She shows zero enthusiasm or excitement for people.

    Thankful!
I’m so glad I found this podcast to help plan my upcoming trip. Shannon and Heather are delightful and this podcast is an awesome travel escape.
  • ObiRach
    Excellent and Informative!
Love the in depth details and great information shared in each show. Thanks for making my in-between trip times easier and always making my commutes and walks more enjoyable :)

    A joy to listen
Thanks for providing so many details in your trip reports. So helpful for those of us planning right now!
  • wdwfandvc
    So informative
Love the Podcast, especially the trip reviews. I also love Shannon’s insights - spot on and incredibly helpful and reliable. Sorry to hear that female run podcasts get challenged more than male led. Sadly, it doesn’t surprise me but please keep at it. You are doing a great job of changing that norm.
