    Rob Long
Love listening to Rob Long about his adventures at Prinston
  • Mukkuroni
    Excellent podcast
Look forward to it every week.

Love the show, but Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
What happened to the opening? Did you have a DEI hire to do the editing? And what happened to the snappy segways to sponsor ads? Being the conservative that I am, I want things back the way they were… a time when I could ride my bike all day till dark without worrying about getting kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. (Let me start over, 3 - 2 - 1) a time when listening to Ricochet made me wonder how could anyone put together a better podcast? Rehire your editor now!

    Venice (Don’t get lost)
“When in Venice, don’t go here or you’ll get lost” OMG! I know EXACTLY what and where, he’s talking about! I got lost as well in “The Maze” of Venice as well, for about 3 hours without internet and/or GPS! Hahahahahaha The story you told about Venice made me reminisce!

    Skipping this one
I love this podcast and have not missed an episode since I found it many years ago, but I am going to skip this one because I can't stand Lecretia. Please don't have her on. Thank you.
  • I’m with you always m28:20
    Thanks
Thanks to Ann Coulter on substrack I found this awesome podcast.
  • Be a Triz
    Love you guys.
All of you are enjoyable to listen to. All have an individualistic and yet conservative approach to life and culture. I love you all. Rob is funny and I identify most with him and I’m not sure I like myself for that. I, too, am always seeking for the next answer. I’m not going to divinity school as yet, but I get the attraction! Keep it fellas!

Very interesting. Peter needs to know that he is adding a A to Realtor that shouldn’t be done!

    Excellent!
    Smart, funny and engaging.
  • Andrew Perspective 2015
    Engaging Podcast
Hosts do a wonderful job presenting a sane conservative perspective that isn’t simple pandering to Dear Leader. Americans of all political perspectives would be wise to listen to this podcast for a rigorous and thorough conservative perspective and analysis.

    Straw Man City, Sadly
I have to say, I was hoping for some credible and actually objective commentary on conservative and libertarian viewpoints, but unfortunately these folks are expert primarily at creating strawmen which they then use to attack “liberals” or “progressives.” While the discussions do contain cogent commentary, the bulk are jousting at windmills they’ve created which often shamelessly misrepresent issues, facts, and events. Hopefully, they can clean up their act, but basically, these guys are MSNBC for “conservatives.”

    The exasperated sighs
Why the exasperated sighs before asking your guest a question? Why leave sentences unfinished to start another one? Why do you have to use the word "sclerotic" in every episode? Still, I like it.

The one podcast I never miss.
Roberta Long was infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome and it became particularly acute during the run up to the 2020 election. As a result this once great podcast was ruined. Lileks also has his moments in trying to defend the leftist rag he works for in Minneapolis. However, there are signs of hope as Long frequently absents himself and is trying to start his own podcast, though one wonders who will listen to it. Perhaps the fact that the number of commenters on the Ricochet website has tanked for its flagship show is starting to get through the thick skulls of the editors…It’s 2024 and Rob Long has gotten even dumber and has dragged Lileks down with him and now sounds like a Bulwark shill. It’s sad how far this podcast has fallen.

    Smart and funny
The hosts are always worth hearing, even if they are chatting about their vacations or such things between topics. The guests are invariably impressive and I always learn something. At the end of an episode, I feel more optimistic about our country.

James Lileks is the new Paul Harvey…
    ….Good Day!

    best conservative podcast
Lileks and Long are two of the most perceptive commentators on the Internet. and they always have very interesting guests. I’ve never missed listening to one of their shows.
  • inluvwithtunes
    Love this podcast!
I never miss this podcast. I look forward to Friday’s. My only criticism would be that Peter Robinson asks the most long-winded questions of the guest. His questions can go on and on and on...

    Interesting Talks
Compelling voices— these. It good to hear them talking about mostly important, sometimes very important current events.
  • Frank Monaldo
    Always smart and informative.

    Like a Rock
Long time listener, first time reviewer. I’m an original listener (if not subscriber, *cough*), since 2010 while living outside of the U.S. This podcast is collectively the adult in the room of modern podcasting. You speak to Gen X like few can. Thank you for all you do!

    Territorial Dispute
I agree with the Ricochet team that DeSantis’s tone on Ukraine is wrongheaded. On the other hand, In a review of Polifact commentary, looking at DeSantis 2014 to 2022, they don’t see a lot of room between his position on Russia with respect to the Crimean takeover, and the comments to Tucker. Importantly, they highlight that our voters are becoming skeptical as Biden moves money and equipment to them, ratcheting up the ante. As a result of 40% of GOP voters now weary of Biden’s agenda, DeSantis seems to be establishing his position to the Left of Trump. To me, that’s a good political move as he moves to secure the GOP nomination.

    Fun and informative
I love these guys. Humorous and well informed. And they get excellent guests. And they don’t agree with each other all the time. They prove that conservatives can be intelligent, realistically optimistic, and hilarious.

    I Listen for Lileks
James Lileks makes this show for me. He’s intelligent, insightful, willing to challenge guests with pointed questions, and makes me laugh in the process. Rob Long is good, but I don’t exactly miss him when he’s away. Peter Robinson’s contribution is to constantly interrupt his fellow hosts and even their guests and to take forever to formulate a question, presumably to demonstrate how intelligent and insightful he is. They will tout the virtues of the Ricochet “community” but in my experience it was little more than long-form Twitter.

Never miss anything with Rob Long
Top 5 podcast for sure. At least try it.

    Show 613
As a Pennsylvanian the part with Charles McElwee of RealClearPennsylvania was very interesting. Also - the end of the show’s discussion on mental health and homelessness screamed for Michael Shellenberger.

I look forward to each podcast...Rob, James and Peter are witty, engaging and edifying… interviews are always timely. Thank you!

    Great podcast
This podcast is very insightful, but having Ann Coulter as a guest made me lose a lot of respect for you guys. I mean at some point, cmon already. She’s nothing but a troll.
  • vetes19
    A weekly must
The hosts have an excellent rapport and intelligently discuss weekly political news with varied expert guests.
  • IndyNit
    Enjoy the show
Would have liked to have seen the hosts push back harder in the latest episode on Harzony’s theory that the way to conserv classical liberalism is to destroy it.
  • Streetee
    Adversarial Guest
Couldn’t disagree with that women more, but she has my respect for facing down some of the greatest minds in conservatism. Very informative episode all around.

    Compelling and Enlightening
This is my FAVORITE podcast among many. Dare I say it is merely entertaining? Certainly. Can’t stop listening once I start. Drives the wife nuts! But most importantly, it is so enlightening. The Perspectives on History segment taught me things i didn’t know, and I’m a fan of history (and herstory). Keep up the great work gents!

    Bridge Meirsheimer?
I love the show, I enjoy the discussions between the regular hosts. My commitment to free expression is such that I don’t begrudge them (much) for having Eldridge Colby on the show, but it was hard to listen to.

    Favorite podcast
This is the one I look forward to every week. It’s like sitting around the table on Friday night smoking cigars, drinking (scotch? What do people drink with cigars?) and talking about the weeks events, politics, and doing it in a thoughtful honest way. I really enjoy it. Thanks guys!

    🎶Still the Best🎶
This was one of the first podcasts I discovered several years ago and continues to enrich my life all these years later. I love their perspective with different backgrounds and clever insights. James is a master wordsmith with a wonderful voice (he should have a second career recording audio books), Rob is slightly contrary, but in an endearing way and has great travel stories, and Peter is always enthusiastic about every guest. Thanks guys for adding a little salt and light to my listening every Friday. Keep it up!

    Fantastic!!
I am a podcast junkie and recently discovered this one. It is SO refreshing to have found a balanced, intelligent, center-right podcast that is free of anger and fear mongering. I’m hooked!!

    Consistently great listen
    Great show. Enjoyable and fun.

    Go Long!
Peter Robinson could have taken today off while he’s on vacation and given us a day off from his weird Ned Flanders voice that drones on until he doesn’t know what point he’s making, but nope, he’s here on his vacation and annoying as ever. I only listen for Rob Long. He’s funny and is always right. The other hosts sound like 1950’s game show hosts—not sure why that bothers me? Wish Rob would do his own podcast or just w a second host.
  • Razgul42
    MUST LISTEN
Great cast, great guests, stellar center-right takes on popular events. On my 'must listen' podcast list.
  • Runningfreak123
    Almost perfect.
    Needs more Pod.
  • Janney USA
    Tracking citizens
Niall Ferguson attributes Taiwan’s low death number due to COVID to country-wide testing and individual tracking. He says USA should have done the same. I live in Washington state. The governor initially said that restaurants should gather emails of diners. That was sneered at. Then he offered a smart phone app that would track you and let you know if someone near you tested positive. Most ignored it. Do you want the government tracking you? Will they stop once the pandemic us over? Will they find other reasons to use it—as does China? Tracking couldn’t be implemented here because Americans wouldn’t tolerate it.
  • Jayo-Calif
    Hosts are the best part
I enjoy the show, but I rate them in inverse proportion to the number of guests they have. For me, the show is best when it's just the three hosts talking among themselves about anything--serious news events, trivialities in their personal lives, even just making themselves laugh over absurdities in life. Unfortunately that seems to only happen when they have unexpected time to fill. I'd give it 5 stars if they had one guest for half the show and just talked to each other for the rest.

    Check your facts
Donald Trump DID NOT tell people to drink bleach. It was debunked. I found your podcast because it was recommended by The Five snd within the first five minutes you were stating Trump drinking bleach crap that had been debunked by others, ie. Scott Adams.
