PomponiusVapidA screenwriting podcast that doesn’t talk about screenwriting. How original.

MS514Love this! This is my go-to podcast every morning on my bus commute to the office. It’s been revelatory. So much incredible information. Love the questions. Love the masters they interview. It’s just been such an amazing source of inspiration for me. I can’t recommend this podcast enough. Invaluable information for an aspiring screenwriter, such as myself. I look forward to the day when I’m being interviewed on Write On :) THANKS for this podcast Final Draft!

sarahfhamiltonSuch a delightful and entertaining podcast! As a writer, I love hearing from other writers and this podcast has such a beautiful insight into the industry. If you’re into film and tv, this podcast is for you! This is the perfect inspiring podcast to listen to on the road too. Shanee asks the right questions and is an amazing host! She’s so personable and entertaining. I’m excited to listen to more future episodes.

dinosaurfightCringe host for great guestsThis current host is so difficult to sit through. She’s a decent interviewer, though she does have a tendency to try too hard to relate to the guests and insert herself as a writer, talking over these accomplished people. But she delivers the intros and talks to the guests like a cringe aunt or mom trying to be hip/edgy - you will not get through an episode without her calling a script or film “delicious” at least twice. In the intros she emphasizes anything sexual or edgy about a film in such a way that I have second hand embarrassment for listening to the show. I grit my teeth to get through the eps because the host is so embarrassing to listen to. Hats off to final draft for not having a pod that sounds like a film bro ego fest. I really hate to be this negative about a female host because it is SO RARE to have anything film related hosted by any one except film bros who are obsessed with Tarantino, but this host needs some notes on stepping it down a touch on cringe auntie mode in her delivery. Great to hear her enthusiasm for the guests’ work but please find another word aside from “delicious” to describe everything.

ShgbullsGreat podcastGreat insight into some excellent film and tv scripts. Highly recommended.

Watermark is hugeMissed potentialThe main host brings great energy and decent questions, but constantly interrupts the guests and goes off on tangents that aren’t interesting. Final Cut should get her some professional training (this skill isn’t inborn!) and I think she could knock it out of the park.

Mattwick101Great podcast.I just listened to the episode with Dave Franco, great podcast and now I’m hooked on this show. I just recently started at The Los Angeles Film School and was given the newest Final Draft as a part of my coursework. I am incredibly pleased with everything FD puts out and was thrilled when I got the email recommending this podcast. Very informative and entertaining. It gives me inspiration to keep working at my craft. My name is Matthias Southwick, and one day, I’m going to be on this show. I’ll see you then.

BrownEyedBeauty83Audio quality is unacceptableI didn’t even stick around for the interviews. The host’s audio quality is horrible for 2019 but what makes it worse is that his audio is the only audio that sounds horrible. There are much better podcasts on screenwriting so this one is a pass.

syncopation74From a non-writerI’m not a writer, at least, not for entertainment’s sake. Part of my job is to write policies, procedures and presentations for a small business. Interestingly, I recently discovered this terrific podcast and realized that my seemingly mundane and standardized writing can still entertain, and help influence and inspire others. It’s inspirational to hear how professional writers create, how they use language, and how they pore over their work. It makes me want to be a better writer, and to curate my work to engage the audience beyond what they are required to read. I can’t wait to get started; thanks for the kick I needed, and keep up the fantastic work.

Needs help $Good but their format needs helpThis is kinda funny for a “writers” podcast. The content is great, but the way they title their podcasts is terrible!! They start with the name of their podcast - duh, I already know that. Many, many words in they FINALLY get to the subject, so on Sonos I can’t see it! Nor can I see it on pocketscasts. I have no idea who their subject is. Almost funny. Don’t you want me to know who your guest is? Writers lesson #1 - don’t bury the lede!!

lordsofdawnWrite On with WME's Head of Story, Adam NovakFantastic interview. Funny and very helpful as a writer!

JayBee2123GREAT PodcastI am late to the screenwriting game (I’m 27), so I’m trying to inundate myself with as much information/education as possible. This podcast is the gold-standard. I listen to as many filmmaking podcasts as I can find, and Write On consistently brings on great guests. Furthermore, Pete does NOT let this quality of guest go to waste. He asks great questions - oftentimes asking something I am currently wondering about. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who has any interest in writing something they want people to see.

kostanleyGreat PodcastI listen to a lot of podcasts about screenwriting. This is a great look at how writers get their first big sale, job, or produced feature and gives interesting viewpoints from managers on how they help break these writers. Concise, informative, and an easy listen.

Maejus1Awesome Interview with John ZaozirnyFantastic advice from Mr. Zaozirny. Unknown writers, like myself, are greatly encouraged by true collaborators, like John. Sound practical realism of the business plus simple advise on where to focus and where to spend energy. Thank you, John, and Final Draft!

redschadlerSo Glad I Finally Found This Podcast!I’ve already shared this podcast with friends! Today I listened to the interview with Mark. L. Smith who wrote The Revenant back-to-back with an interview on another screenwriting website and was blown away at the quality of the interview, sound, and overall content. Subscribing now so I don’t miss anything!

MichaelTrippMost informative podcast for screenwritersI love this show. The host asks great questions, it’s fun, it’s a great length - and I always learn something. A must listen for all writers and movie fans!

ActionwritergirlGreat Screenwriting Info!Love this podcast. I miss the screenwriting magazines that used to keep me inspired, so I try to find any other resources I can get my hands on. These interviews are in-depth - really digging into the craft of writing. I’m a fan!

MisterSparkleNew favorite screenwriting podcast? Why have I never heard of this podcast before? I listen to a lot of writing/storytelling/movie podcasts, and to be honest, they tend to be waaaaay too long. My commute is 30 - 45 minutes, so enough with the meaningless banter! This podcast hasn’t fallen into that trap. Pete does a good job keeping things focused and asks the questions I wish I could ask. Really really good stuff!
