Ckelley116My favorite of all the marketing podcasts. This is the only one I actually wait for and listen to as soon as it comes out. I will admit I miss the longer format (it was great for when I was making dinner!) but I’d rather have shorter episodes than none at all. The information is always up to date, presented in a way that both informs and entertains, and seems well-researched and thought-out. In addition to being an author myself I work in the self-publishing industry and recommend this show regularly to our author clients.

Shana GorianReally keeps me up to dateThis podcast covers all the latest news in the Indie publishing world. I find it very helpful and I like to hear the analysis of Claire and Brian. It really helps shine light on certain things and I always learn something new.

repossibleThe Go-To Show for Indie AuthorsThis is one of the very few shows I continue to listen to over the years. As an indie author, I have so much information to digest (and act upon) on an ongoing basis. I dare say that this show is all you need, just an hour a week, to stay on top of the latest in the indie author and publishing space. Please keep it going, Brian and Claire!

Lars D. H. HedborKeeps me informed and inspired!I've been an indie author for over ten years now, and the Sell More Books Show has been a critical part of my weekly routine for a lot of that time. I rely on Bryan & Claire to learn what's new in the industry, and to give me valuable ideas on how to be better at this work.

Cate LathamAmazing, valuable info, great style!I have been listening to this show for a few weeks now and am probably fifteen or so episodes in, and I am learning so much! I’ve been writing for pleasure my entire life but recently decided to take the plunge and write to publish, and this show makes me feel like I have a connection to the publishing world and an idea of where to start! Thanks for your quirky, in depth, and honest perspectives!

Comedy Fan 007So much better now!I don’t know when Jim Kukral left, but he’s the reason I stopped listening. Now that he’s gone Bryan’s positivity is matched with so much better with Claire’s upbeat personality. They do a great job of keeping up with the news and giving great tips without all that relentless naysaying that Jim used to provide. Always loved Bryan! Totally love Claire! These Great hosts that make getting all the news fun while be informative without wasting time with excessive chit chat.

Your TV Magic PalThe Weekly Round Up For Indie PublishingEverything you need to know about the latest news in the publishing world plus advice and opinion from hosts worth listening to. Listening to this podcast while I drive has replaced pretty every writers’ magazine I used read!
-
flowyrfaceGreat ShowI just started listening in January 2021, although I’ve been an indie author since 2014. I wish I would’ve discovered this show sooner. The hosts are honest, funny, entertaining, informational, and perhaps most importantly of all, they serve as a weekly reminder that I’m not alone in what can often feel like a very lonely industry (especially in this past year). Thanks, Brian & Claire!

Amy M. in AZThe podcast every indie author needsThere are a lot of podcasts out there for indie authors but this is where I'll be spending my time. I get relevent news quickly, I love the format - lists! Yay! - and I feel connected to what's important in the publishing world. Bryan and Claire are fun to listen to, with just the right amount of humor and get-to-it. Wednesdays are happy podcast days for me! Thank you!

Not your FB farming game.Long time listenerI pick up publishing podcasts the same way some people pop tic-tacs, and while I’ve stopped listening to many shows over the years I still come back to this one. Why dig through publishing news my self when two charismatic cohosts and their team can do that for me AND present it with humor and insightful context.
-
Bill ringo star mcgruderSo glad Jim was replacedGreat podcast for news.

CMBinsTips, news, and advice all in one delightful bundleThis is one of my favorite podcasts for indie authors! I love the structure of the show: the hosts give a bunch of tips collected from various sources, and then give all the big news in the publishing and indie publishing world. I feel like I'm caught up on everything without having to spend hours sifting through news outlets, blogs, videos, social media posts, etc. Plus, Bryan and Claire provide their own insights, opinions, and experiences, which are always fantastic -- and they do it with a healthy dose of humor! I look forward to this podcast every week.
-
SurfaLotMy new favoriteJust discovered this podcast and I love it. Great advice, attitude, and chemistry between the hosts.

Flyover CountyToo bad this podcast was prerecordedI listened to the July 22nd show hoping to get your take on AMS ads tracking KU page reads. For the indie author, this is a game changer. Guess I'll have to wait for next week. Keep up the great work Bryan!
-
Sara BlackardMust listen for any indie authorThis show is one of few I make time for every week without fail. Though some is more than I need at the moment, it always gets me thinking.

-
ZenthropologistMust listenI LOVE this podcast for all the tips it gives as I move towards trying my hand at self publishing. The main reason I had to review this though is that I just realized that the male host sounds EXACTLY like Kevin from Desert Bluffs in Welcome to Night Vale!!! 😭
-
Kelsie SteltingLove itThis is an awesome show! Love the timely news updates, occasional sarcasm, and helpful suggestions!
-
Hermdog!Great info and lots of chucklesThis is one of the only podcasts I listen to anymore. I think Bryan and Claire make a great team (love their banter and personal anecdotes-never know what they’re going to say) and I really like the show’s format. I learn something new from each show.

NancyInBlueBette than EverBreaking up a dynamic duo can feel like a fast way to kill a show, but the Sell More Books show has thrived under its new co-host. Thanks for delivering helpful tips and worthwhile news every week.
-
Tess ManchesterInsights in a fun wayLove this dynamic duo! They keep us in the know and deliver helpful information wherever we are in our author journeys. Most importantly, they answer those burning publishing questions like ‘what’s the murder of the story?’
-
J.D. OlivaThe best in the businessI’ve been a fan of this show for three years. I discovered this show when I thought about delving into the world of self-publishing. This show has been a guiding beacon in teaching people the perils and pluses of the self-publishing landscape.
-
Colonel SkipA Must for AuthorsAs a first time author I’ve received valuable content and enjoy the 5 “news” items in the publishing world, in countdown fashion. Keep bringing the great content. Thanks.
-
audiofillyHurts my ears. The new host has a voice like a banshee clawing its way through a slate roof. On the upside, she refuses to allow her ignorance to interfere with her illogical self confidence and enthusiasm. On the downside, the presence of the oddly-named femme has diminished Bryan’s brainpower, too. Taking this one off my subscription list.
-
michellebader2So helpful!I have learned so much about publishing and marketing from this show!
-
Dennis MittonBest for Slef-Publishing NewsThe best for for self-publishing news, period. Lots of other good stuf, too. Never miss an episode.

RandrifterI'm late to the gameI recently found this podcast. I've been studying up on marketing my books in preparation for my first inde author launch in Sept 2018. Wish I'd been tuned into these guys earlier. Great insights, facts, experiences and opinions. Even though I'm late, I'm learning so much and these guys are keeping all of us up to date on the everchanging world of indie authors and marketing our work. Thanks, guys!
-
KatewhitneySo much focused infoThanks guys! I appreciate the weekly updates and your backlist. So much content - I’m overwhelmed with my todo list!
-
kellyellie24A little bit of everythingFrom the tips to news articles and personal experience Jim and Bryan bring to the show help me get a firmer grasp on my authoring career.
-
Zack GuidoDo you self-publish? If yes, listen! This is my favorite podcast about the self-publishing world. The production values are great, the chemistry between the two hosts is good, but best of all, they talk about current events in the industry, weekly tips, questions of the week for you to think about / answer online, etc. There is a lot of value here, and they release consistenly every week. Highly recommended!

Kyle Robert ShultzA must-listen for indie authorsThis show is both essential and extremely helpful for indie authors in today's market. It can be difficult to keep up with all the indie-publishing related news that floods the internet every day, but by keeping up with this podcast, you're basically letting Bryan and Jim handle that for you. They do a terrific job curating both news items and useful tips in an engaging and entertaining fashion. I've gotten a wide variety of useful pointers from the show which have made a big difference in my sales over the past couple of years. If you want to achieve professional success as an indie author, you should definitely add this one to your listening queue.
-
AHMom23Great Show!I've listened for over a year now, and am very much enjoying this show. Bryan and Jim are two bright guys, discussing the lastest indie news. If you're an author, this is a podcast you don't want to miss.
-
NicRicLucLove the tips and news! It’s nice to get the top author news for the week without having to rummage around the Internet to find it. Love the dynamics of the duo. I used to subscribe to a bunch of industry podcast but I only faithfully listened to this one.
-
oscarkelly24Must Listen To - EVERY WEEK!This Podcast is my weekly go to to keep on top of everything from tips to News! Jim and Bryan present very balanced thoughts to every tip and news article. Even if youre a week or 10 behind, listening to this podcast will bring your author career up a notch or five.

Amanda AkselI Never Miss an Episode!I discovered this show a year ago and it’s one of my top favorite podcasts. I listen every week! I love the dynamic between Bryan and Jim. They’re awesome. And it’s great to be able to get current news, tips, and insight in one place. If you’re in the book biz, this is a must-listen!

shadowfax_girlJim, get a clueEvery week I find myself yelling at my car radio at something else stupid Jim has said. This week made me actually pull over to write this review. How about going into a Barnes and Noble once and a while before dissing it so vehemently? You want it to succeed but you don’t shop there? How does that work? Also, most of the people that work in B&N (and I am NOT one of them) are NOT 17 years old. They are older, 30-55 year olds who do actually know about books. Go into the children’s section and ask for some recommendations. You will get actual good information. I am a big Amazon customer and publisher, but I also make a point of purchasing from B&N to do a little bit to help keep these resources available. Another week Jim basically said that he doesn’t go into independent bookstores so nobody does and he doesn’t see them lasting much longer. Week after week he says things of this nature, that because he doesn’t think it’s worthwhile then it’s not. How about broadening your view? I gave it two stars rather than one only because Brian Cohen is intelligent, open minded, and offers good summaries of interesting posts from the author community. I wish Brian would go solo or get a different co-host.
-
Rawkker10Experts In My CornerSelling your own books is hard! JIm and Bryan cover the waterfront on how self-published authors can sell more of their books. Lots of coverage of current events in the publishing industry (mostly from the self-publishing side). Enjoyable and I always learn something!
-
Amber MorantFavorite voices in my carI love how each episode gives great tips and fun to listen to. I feel I learn so much especially for free and in the time of a commute.
-
AllenCPaulConsistently interesting and effective author infoFound the show as a beginning author, and now I still listen to keep up with new topics and learn new tactics and marketing strategies for my author and coaching business. Plus I realized that Bryan rewrote my blurb for my book free of charge ( it was really bad, I surmise) after I became a patreon, so I’m indebted for life. ;)
