jeffm1876I miss MiBI yearn for the old Rog and Davo Men in Blazers podcasts that became a reliable staple in my podcast lineup. There’s too much going on now and this iteration of MiB is virtually unrecognizable. I still pull for MiB, but I fear I’ve lost my old friend.
-
CasnhLove the addition of Rory SmithI loved the Davo, but if he had to leave, Rory Smith is the best possible replacement. Perfect dry wit to respond to Rog’s ramblings. Still too many different pods on the feed, though. Vamos? No thanks.

Brice the RedThe thinking -persons’ football pod- All Hail our leader Roger Bennett❤️I’ve spent many years listening to Men In Blazers, despite being the target of some unsubstantiated and undeserved Liverpool banter. But as a fellow lover of the written verse, and an American, who also shares an affinity for Merseyside , I find there’s no better non-Liverpool podcast to whet my football appetite, than Men In Blazers. And while I lamented the “passing” of our royalist, oligarch, curious, son of Eaton, Chelsea supporting mate Davo, I welcome with open arms, a man of the people, Mr. Rory Smith. Subscribe now, these boys are the best.

connorfg13Who’s Maya Hamm?Respectfully if you don’t know who Mia Hamm is I don’t even want to listen to you read a script prepared by someone who does. Learn ball
-
Rene ConSafosOn the fenceIt’s enjoyable during club seasons- especially Rory. But Rog can get cringey during international tournaments.
-
RPLM86Got worseMiB used to be a great source to catch up on EPL, the ocasional international tournament and relevant interviews. The comedic aspect was great. Now it’s just overloaded with forced jokes, podcasts praising the USMNT players, Rog telling us how “American” he is and ads. If it wasn't for European Nights, this would be a 1 star review.
-
lowefidelityI miss DavoRog “Brazil, a country that loves Barry Manilo so much they named a beach after one of his songs” Davo “I missed that joke” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Appiz TrashThe First & the BestI do hate that your use of Diddy’s ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ to describe Arsenal in the last episode.. otherwise top tier..
-
CoffeeSandwichApparently Davies is GoneI’ve been wondering if Michael Davies’ absence from the flagship show was temporary or permanent. I gather from an online story that it is permanent. How very sad. It seems it is time to unsubscribe and put this podcast behind me.
-
775 HiveRory Smith = GoldIt’s captivating when Rog and Rory are together. Best episodes by far. European Nights is a history lesson with laughs. I feel I take a cheap vacation to a new European city each week all the way from Reno, Nevada. I’ve learned so much and love Rory breaking down Premier League too. Make Rory a mainstay Rog. -Courage

TheLangsterRory Smith for the win!All the shows are great, but Rory Smith is the best. Anyone who loves soccer or is new to soccer will enjoy this podcast. Wasn’t an Everton fan before starting to listen to this show. Now I pull for them every week so Rog doesn’t have to follow Championship soccer next season. Go Gunners!

PageNelsonSam Mewis is a global treasureLOVE, LOVE, LOVE having Sam Mewis on to focus on the Women's game. We've been hungry for Women's football content and her ability to break it down, keep it fun and interesting, while also being vulnerable and real is such a treat. Give that woman a raise!

civil tongueYou fooled me for a little whileWhen I started listening to your broadcast, it was all about how much you knew about America oh, if you’re in this city you should go to this restaurant. And when you brought in Sam, I was really excited. but now I see we just went through one of the most exciting tournaments in the United States in a long time, and nothing from you guys. Absolutely nothing. I am un scribing. But I will check in on Wednesdays once in a while to see how Sam is doing. There’s a proper time for a interview with a young person on the way up. And Sam did a really nice job with her during all that exciting tournament soccer. So I’m not going to abandon Sam, or miss out on what she has to say. If I ever want to know more about a three-way tie in the Premier league, I will definitely check you guys out lol.

pep786the women’s gamemy god, are we ever going to get some in-depth conversation on the women’s game. so many issues like why is the under19 doing so bad, why is USWNT still struggling. these interviews are fluff pieces, like reading people magazine. is the WSL better than NWSL?
-
Bree_D3Love!Sam is an amazing addition!
-
podcast listener 100The Women’s GameSam Mewis is an international treasure.
-
Prof MVSThe women’s game with Sam Mewis is EVERYTHINGSam Mewis you give life to my Thursdays. I couldn’t agree more that you are crushing it in the podcast world. Please keep leaning in to politics alongside silly joy. It is glorious!
-
Jackie in KCLiterally the bestHave been listening for years and thoroughly enjoy Roy and Davo! It’s been so much to have all of the new content they’ve been adding, especially The Women’s Game!
-
SBPilotBBThe Women’s GameHooray for adding this long awaited dimension to the pod!
-
dogterdogterThe Women’s GameI listened to the first episode of Sam Mewis’ new show. I enjoyed listening to her describe her love of the game. Brought back memories of playing soccer as a teenager. I’ve loved this pod for years, and the network just keeps getting better.
-
Kapp46Soooooooooooooo excited about Sam Mewis joining the teamWay to professionalize this operation (just kidding). I loved Snacks and also really enjoyed your World Cup coverage with Sam. Sam’s energy and sense of humor are delightful but I’m a huge fan of her insightful analysis. I remember a segment during the World Cup coverage when she talked about how an assistant coach for the USWNT really helped her strengthen a piece of her game tactically. That specific level of insight is incredibly rare and incredibly interesting to anyone who loves the strategy of the game. I’ll listen to MIB more regularly now. Great move.

dhindmanA USA fan’s Premier League institutionI struggled with giving this pod fewer than 5 stars - they certainly deserve it for the effort! Men in Blazers introduced me to the Premier League and I am grateful to them. I must have subscribed now for at least 6 years. The flagship pod is still IMO the best written football entertainment program. The rich history of inside jokes is endearing. As I have gone deeper on my team of choice with other podcasts I have come to learn that MiB doesn’t always get the details right. But it’s still good fun to listen. It’s just become too much. I listen to the main weekly pod and Rory Smith episodes. I delete the rest. I do hope to see some spinoff pods eventually to bring it back to manageable. The ads - my god the ads. So many ads. Sadly I wish the Emporium had been lucrative enough to support everyone. I’d gladly listen to stories about psyllium husk and a book each week. I wish I couldn’t tell you how long a specific repeat ad read is, but I can. As it is now, I must listen with one hand on my skip button. I guess that’s the way it has to be.
-
NerkgregToo much content for one feed!I love MIB classic, and some of the new content has its charms, but my feed was drowning in content. 6-7 episodes a week?? I love football but I have a life. Rog and Davo are two of my favorite hosts, but I can only take Herc in small doses, and frankly, he deserves his own feed where his fans can find him. I made the tough decision to unsubscribe and am missing too much Rog as a result. But I had to come up for air.
-
MelnikokGreat ShowThis show is needed not only to hear about the matches and the results but to hear about the heart and soul of football (soccer).
-
fjrnnnddBig 6 PodThis show sells itself on covering “the entire Premier League,” but that’s only due to the 12 seconds they spend on reporting the results for a smaller team before going back to slobbering Pep, Spurs, Arsenal, and the lot. Sometimes it’s literally a “best of the rest” segment. Do better.
-
B. AkdenizMy favorite podcastI have been listening since 2014. It’s amazing to see how far they have come

Deleting this game as I writeThe worst kind of hypocritical “ally”Show and espn continually focus on mob justice for rubiales who kissed a girl against her will (bad in case you don’t get it) and then apologized for it. Articles written daily. Off with his head, prison, cancel this man forever. And yet… No mention of Saudi sports washing by a literal repressive theocracy where it is legal, expected and admired even, for a husband to rape his 15 year old wife. Oh, and if she complains he can press charges and have her stoned to death. Apparently this is acceptable to men in blazers and espn, because on the site and podcast all you see are headlines supportive of the Saudi league. Goals by Ronaldo, new signings etc. I can’t believe you tricked members of the USWNT to come on your show to make it seem like they support this view. You should be ashamed and never work again.
-
AlexDaHunterWWC Coverage is GreatI love hearing Rog and Sam break down the games throughout the Women’s World Cup. It’s so great to hear Sam’s experiences and expertise during those chats. Also please stop calling on @Reese (or Reese, from Davidson, NC) during the questions segment; his rants are rambling and annoying.
-
Bravo!21Will miss the WC coverageRog and Sam were wonderful together. You both made a great tournament better….off to my “third first pint”.
-
Josef RatzingerStopped listening over the constant moralizingFound these guys when I first got into soccer and was grateful for them, but I eventually stopped listening because of the constant moralizing. I don’t like hearing foreign-born citizens who were welcomed to my country (and welcome to them, truly!) constantly use their platform to whine about how awful my country is—when all I want is sports anyway. It’s hard to listen when you know the hosts would smugly despise you and people like you.
-
DUDEMAN PETESGreat pod but the ads have gotten out of controlI counted a 4 minute break in ads before another set of ads came in. I realize y’all have a media empire now but come on, it’s shameful the amount and length of ads you shoehorn into episodes. Great content, great interviews, bad ads
-
mwpickUSWNT loss to SwedenLoved your episodes with Sam Mewis and Becky!! Fantastic! You were real, honest in your assessments, but delivered them with empathy and compassion. Also, politely poked the bear and called out criticism that wasn’t fair or appropriate. Can’t say enough great things! I didn’t listen to this podcast before the WWC. Now, huge fan!!! 🥰. Look forward to continuing to listen.
-
mbcg817love themI’ve only started listening recently to the 2023 World Cup coverage, but I love this podcast so much! It brings me so much joy, and it’s a balm for my soul. I love Rog and I’m loving Sam Mewis as the co-host. I just listened to their recap of the USWNT v Sweden match and it literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for bringing the humanity and the humor to the world of soccer/football coverage!
-
Soletrain 88Reaction and analysis of WWCI’ve love and will continue to listen to the content from this pod for a very long time. I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed with the opinion and lack of criticality after the play by the US women. I think having a teammate (and sibling) of many of the current player pool led to vanilla and bias analysis of the game and was boring to listen to. Of course the upside in having Sam Mewis is her providing great inside information and if the tournament went better then I think her takes would have been also.

bumblegittaLove MIB!!I have been listening for years now and I do not know what I would do without this podcast. I love listening to everything Rog records and I cannot believe how hard he works. This podcast makes me smile even on the worst days and I have some of my favorite episodes always downloaded when I am in need of a laugh. The women’s game coverage is incredible and it is the most informative podcast on football out there. Thanks for all you do Rog & the rest of the MIB staff!! #ynwa
-
hbedwardsTake that, Gloria!I’ve been listening to Rog and Dave-o for so long, I feel like they’re friends who have encouraged me through sad times and glad times, and I look forward to listening to them every week. I’m really glad we won’t have to split time between the Premiership and the Championship next season. Thank you guys for all you do. Big love. Up the gunners. Courage!
-
Awp2012Love the pods but crowded feedLove several of the pods but it’s time to allow to create separate feeds for each show! For example, I would love to see Herc with his own feed for Vamos. Also, it would be great if the ad free Wondery feed actually worked.
-
E926384783383Welcoming of new fútbol ⚽️ fans!Amazing podcast for new and experienced fútbol fans! I’ve been listening every day since World Cup 2022. I love how Rog talks crap about Tim Ream at least once per podcast lol
-
HodgeJohn OliverThe episodes with John Oliver are easily the best in the year of suboptimal crap
-
JW110607Sad episodeI hate all of this, but appreciate the insight. I don’t think Gregg can come back, but I also believe the Reyna’s have no place in our soccer future. If the Reyna’s cared outside of their nepotistic interests, they would have raised concerns years before. Domestic violence is abhorrent and has no place in our world, and self-serving parents who overlook missteps until they’re convenient look just as bad. Reyna should never play for the US again, his dad should be let go from MLS, and Gregg needs to walk away.

g8rstyleLove these Guys and Highly recommend them to you tooRon and Dave are the best. Come for the football analysis. Stay for the trans-Atlantic cultural exchange and surprising humanity they deliver along with their sports talk. Helps to be a world football fan or at least soccer curious but these guys transcend sport and listening to their podcasts feels a lot more like having a laugh with your English mates. Enjoy!
