@The_Farmed_LifeJust What I Needed in this Season! This podcast has been such a gem to find! I’ve been exploring a more natural based rhythm for my own life, and now here comes along a lovely tool to help make that happen. I adore the way the episodes open, like you’re walking into her actual shop to browse and have warm conversation. Kudos to the hosts! - Shelby A farm girl from Southern Maryland

Lia GarvinLove this show!Fun, informative, and packed with strategies for how to run your business effectively. I especially loved the episodes on boundary setting, such a difficult thing to navigate as a business owner but so important to be continually mindful of.

Podcast Ep.306First Time Listening! — Episode with Nikki NashEmily is such a fabulous podcast host! I loved the podcast episode with Nikki Nash. The aha moments were the best and I loved the energy you both brought to the episode since it was my first time tuning in! I always feel like marketing is so nuanced but it was refreshing to hear that a marketing plan is a simple roadmap that will help you accomplish your goals.

Podcastlistener357Usually love it but the noisesI’m obsessed with this podcast usually but #261 there was constant clicking and like scratching throughout the entire episode. It was soo hard to listen to.

Jakub[SOP]A must-listen for anyone who wants to start & grow their own businessBeing Boss podcast is for anyone who wants to start & grow their own business. I particularly enjoyed the interview with Megan Flatt and love how partnerships and finding a “business bestie” were crucial to her success as an entrepreneur.

LittlecutiebootyEVERY ENTREPRENEUR NEEDS TO LISTENI love love how Emily touched base of so many topics revolving business. She is authentic, listens to her guests, and offers solid advice!

Maryam in MarrakeshSighWhile I admire Emily’s determination to move forward with this business, I miss the more articulate voice of the duo who was always the one I looked forward to hearing. Additionally, some episodes really miss the mark. The last one with Tara McMullin is an exp - Tara’s nonstop bragging felt inauthentic and made me just click away from the podcast midway. I truly miss what this podcast once was.
-
MargaretMaryAbcAlways useful and manageable tips and support!I’m in the early stages of “being boss” as I pivot professionally. Emily’s podcast are the perfect blend of cheerleading, useful tips and encouragement. With time being such a commodity for most of us, I make the time to listen to Being Boss!
-
JessicaBurdLearned So Much!!I have learned so much from listening to this podcast! I have been able to apply a lot of what I’ve learned on this show to my career!
-
lucidinfernoWent off the deep endAs a business owner, this podcast used to be a valuable resource for inspiration. But now that one of the hosts has left the podcast, it’s focusing on using tarot cards, horoscopes, and “magic” for direction in business. Whoa.
-
Sunnie8128I love the changeI was curious how this podcast would change after Kathleen left, and Emily has taken it in the direction I was hoping for. Teaching us how to build a business and mixing in a little magic? I’m here for it!
-
LAWtheNavyVeteranLove!!I never leave reviews but this podcast deserves one!! I’m just starting my business and so far this podcast has given me so much help and advice! I look forward to listening to more shows! Thanks ladies for all you do!

-
WritingWhispererGreat Podcast! This podcast covers an excellent range of topics and is fun to listen to. So many actionable takeaways, great guidance and high quality content. I love listening!
-
Shqipetare21Five Stars!I’m going to listen and subscribe simply because of the comment from Cosmo12345. The simple fact that Cosmosis decided to leave a negative comment based on the host’s usage of the word “whenever” over “when” and strong P’s tells me they’re the kind of person I hope get soaked by water from a bus driving over a puddle every... single ... day of their lives.
-
Jean PPPTransformed my businessI love this podcast. I have gotten so many useful tips and ideas that have helped to make 2019 my most lucrative year yet. Emily and Kathleen are always interesting, compelling, and endearingly themselves. <3

MarissaMELifetime of knowledge!Okay imagine you read the title of this review like Amanda Bynes in She’s The Man. Now, the review. Emily and Kathleen have given so much knowledge to bosses through this podcast. It’s helps my confidence as a boss, leader and creative and helping me make strides personally and professionally. Although I’ve listened to every episode I’m listening to old episodes almost daily while I work to get the extra pep talk I need to do the work. Thank you so much for all you do!

AmresseTop 5 Podcasts I have ever heardHello! I just started listening this week and I am already obsessed. I have listened to over 10 episodes already. There is so much value in every single episode. What I love about it is it isn’t repetitive. Some podcasts add value but they basically say the same thing every episode. I love this show because every episode is so unique and valuable in its own way. There is so much helpful advice and inspiration that I have to listen with a notebook because I write notes the entire time. Thanks so much for having such an amazing show and for adding so much value. I can tell how much work you put into the quality of the show. :)
-
Business ImprovVery fun, very informative! This podcast brings not only interesting explorations on a variety of topics, but Kathleen and Emily bring their own unique perspectives and experiences to the table along with their expert guests to make for rich and entertaining shows. Well done!
-
cosmo12345Just Ok. I had to Unsubscribe. The misuse of the word “whenever” in place of “when” makes this podcast unlistenable. Also the pfft sound I hear with each word that begins with the letter P was enough to make me unsubscribe. Good content, but the delivery could use improvement.
-
I love these ladies!Simply the best!I have a small service business with no employees and at times I can feel a little crazy and doubtful. I listen to these ladies with all of their tips and tricks and stories of their personal journey and I’m perked back up. They’re so real and fun! I also just recently bought their book and could not recommend it enough, it feels so perfectly them!
-
obacker19Raw. Real. and AWESOME!Just wanted to say thank you to Emily and Kathleen for bringing this show to the world and for teaching us all how to do. the. work! It's easy to get lost, in your own head and discouraged as a creative entrepreneur - this show is a must listen when you find yourself in that place! There are amazing tips and tactics shared on how to be a better entrepreneur, but what's made the biggest difference in my life is the permission, and not-so-subtle nudge, Emily and Kathleen give all of us to just be ourselves (as messy, wild, exciting and creative as we may be)!
-
So easy to listen to!I love the Being Boss Podcast!!Emily and Kathleen are so much fun to listen to! I love how they bring in aspects of their personal lives as examples for the concepts they're teaching, and they've somehow found that perfect blend between practical business advice and personal development tips. The only thing I'm worried about now is if I can somehow write off the time I'd like to spend binge-listening to all the previous episodes as "business education"...
-
KServiExcellent PodcastI recently listened to the episdoe with Jason Zook. It was awesome hearing his advice on embracing your weird and his advice on finding a healthy relationship with money and debt. Great episode ladies!

Mel04444Love this podcastSo informative and easy to listen to!

Pokemon No GoPerfect timingIn the beginning of 2019 I decided that I wanted to listen to podcasts that I related with. There were a couple of podcasts that my current job had me listening to about leadership and although they were great for me to listen to I didn’t feel as if I enjoyed listening to what they were saying. When I found Being Boss I felt as if I had found this podcast at the Perfect Time 💕 Kathleen and Emily seem very relatable and they’re a great pair to listen to! They’re professional and jokesters at the same time, and Being a Boss that is finally getting started with promoting myself as my own business, I started listening from the very beginning and I have enjoyed listening to what they graciously share with us Bosses. I’m getting closer to being up to date with the Being Boss podcast and I’m so thankful and grateful to have it as a resource so that if I ever feel stuck or want some motivation I can just pick a relevant episode and get back to work!

HeatherLylesMKTGDo the work, be boss! This podcast has been a staple of mine throughout the last two or three years as I have built my own marketing consultancy. Their statement is simple: do the work, be boss! Kathleen and Shannon take a straightforward approach to explaining that there is a lot of boots-on-the-ground action that has to take place in order to run a successful business. It sounds glamorous to be a freelancer in a creative field, but there are definitely other things like accounting, pitches, and boring grunt work that comes along with it. I enjoy their witty banter, the variety of creative business owners that they interview, and listening to their words of wisdom and motivation. If you work from home, own your own business, or just need some “business bestie” in your life, they are a nice addition to your podcast rotation.
-
Michelle VanCuraFascinating content! These two wise women are a powerhouse combined. You’d want to be friends with them. They balance “on task” information (aka the content matches the episode’s title) with a couple of side quips from their own lives and personal business journeys, making the podcast humorous and relatable. I really enjoy how they don’t mind sharing with their audience what they are trying out and why. They don’t come off like experts “from on high,” but more like expert experimenters letting us in on their discoveries (as found in the awesome recent episode about Instagram and blogging). The insights about hashtags were completely relevant to me (while revealing the inner workings of their partnership and thought-processes). I’m excited to see what subjects they tackle in the future!
-
jennadeezioWhat happenedThis was the first podcast I really started to love, looked forward to their episodes every week. Slowly but surely it has started to reallyyyy fall off. It feels like they spend most of the time just talking about themselves and stopped really giving tangible helpful advice for others to succeed. The IG post they did is what tipped me, giving advice abt hashtags and IG etc when your pages are getting such poor engagement doesn’t seem like the best idea. Not trying to be a hater but honestly disappointed as someone who truly loved this podcast.
-
fernraeSo fake and dullI am not sure something could sound more forced than these ladies. I could not finish the 2nd episode. I turned it on, immediately was like “oh noooo way” then turned it off. I decided to just give it one more try, you never know. Rocky start. Yeah, no. I am blown away by how many positive reviews this has and just how many basic and insincere women there truly are out there. If you want real stuff, from real and genuine people this is not the podcast for you.
-
Later addPlease vet your interviewees first.I got twenty-two minutes into “Non-profit and for-purpose...” when I realized the professional being interviewed about the structure and how-to was not informed. The question was asked whether or not a board of directors gets paid and the “professional” source being asked said she didn’t know, and that she’s even served on a board before! This podcast, for me, lost all credibility. Unsubscribe.

mama swayRelateable AFI'm new to podcasts (I know, what took me so long) and this has been my favorite show by far. Engaging, relateable, educational, inspiring.....these chicks got it goin on! GO GIRLS
-
AshMGerEmpowered and ExcitedI’m starting from the beginning because I don’t want to miss a single word of wisdom, inspiring interview, or inside joke. I’m on episode 13 and I’ve already made so many changes to the way I engage with my business and partners. Thank you for taking the time to educate and empower!
-
Carol Lynn M.Can’t get enough of this podcastI’ve been loving this podcast and binge-listening for the past few months since I came across it. I’m about to start their book Being Boss and can’t wait for even more great advice. Very good stuff for a fellow creative entrepreneur who hopes to be as successful as these two girl bosses.
-
Laura@SimplyAIPTotally Boss!!!Co-hosts Emily and Kathleen tell it how it is to be a female entrepreneur more than any other podcast or mentor I’ve listened to. When I first heard them talk about “fraudy feelings,” I was like, OMG I’m not the only one! It is so validating when they discuss how challenging yet rewarding it is to be a creative entrepreneur. I listen to their episodes over and over, and recommend them to all my fellow Boss Ladies! Thanks for the real talk, ladies!
