Matt_B_WTired old subjectI generally really like and respect the show. But, how can they offer a tired, played out case like Michelle Traconis? This has been covered ten times already. Yawn.

wiffenhouse#1 PodcastI’m not one to write a review unless I am truly committed, and with Jillian I am just that. Every single one of her episodes are well thought out, and delivered. She doesn’t miss! I huge fan of everything she has and continues to put out. Keep up the amazing work!

HannahMcardleSTOP with the nationally covered cases!!!!Please stop covering cases that receive national attention. This used to be one of my favorite podcast however I'm disappointed every two weeks with another episode that has been covered 10 other times by other content creators. It's very disappointing. Also disappointing that this turned into a biweekly podcast. This podcast is the reason that I got into true crime and sad to say I very rarely ever listen anymore because cases are just being overcovered.

StyiijhtesdgubvdrhdStop frequently covered casesThis used to be my favorite podcast. I couldn’t wait until a new episode release was released. However, it has gone downhill. The cases covered are ones that are frequently in the media and have been extensively covered. You are releasing episodes 3 months after the case and there are already 12 other podcasts about the case. Please start looking for cases that are not well known.

I'mgonnawinWhitney GunnI listened to your podcast about my grandmother and thought you did a great job! I sent it to the 2 detectives and they also liked it. It’s something no one should have to go through but your podcast gave me some peace knowing the outcome was guilty! Thank you!!

cmdma perfect true crime podcast...good reporting...good voice...just good all around...actually better than good...excellent...i never miss an episode!

DittyknittyJust readingJillian likes to hear her own voice. Apparently, since she just reads documents and does not seem to think it’s important to indicate she’s reading someone else’s words by starting out with “Quote…. Unquote”. This is Court Junkie, I want to hear audio from COURT! Stop reading everything in your flat tone and use more original recordings. Don’t you get enough patreon money to afford the FOIA invoices?

Hinaea113Favorite PodcastPresents the cases as they happened. I enjoy listening to Jillian. The cases presented are always interesting and have a broad net of topics.
-
eg portlandGreat. Covers interesting cases intelligentlyMy favorite true crime show. Smart, insightful, detailed without being gratuitous. Week after week episodes have maintained their quality. They also manage to find lesser known cases and the ones we think we know about are covered from the legal perspective.
-
imtifflishI love this podcast!Always well researched, professional, and respectful.

Earl MurlMom It UpBeen listening to this podcast forever. It is and always has been one of my favorites. The host speaks with integrity and also complete objectivity. Have always thought her work is spot on. I wish more reporting was like Court Junkie! Also, to the host, my shout out to motherhood. I was pregnant the same time as you in 2023 with my second child under the age of five and must say: take all the time you need. You are doing the right thing. Love your babies! Your fans will be waiting and appreciating the work you do as you can (and some of us loving our babies right alongside you)! Not that anyone asked me. :)

Jill ZieToo WokeI’ve been listening for a while but I can’t anymore. This host constantly portrays law enforcement as bad and acts as though every black defendant has been set up and had a horrible, incompetent defense even when the black victims have identified that defendant as the perpetrator. It’s just gotten old.

jkmkkmGreat show, horrible motherYou have a wonderful podcast. The last one that I attempted to listen to made me sick. Not because of the details but because of the ignorance of one of the persons mother. This woman named her child Kadafi. I am quite sure there are no signs of electrical activity in that mother's brain. That is insane. I was not able to listen to the rest of the podcast. Oh boy-
-
mara.0Great ReportingI love that the host is humble and respectful when talking about these cases. I miss civil!
-
Sally GonzalezMaya CoverageIt felt that episode was very one sided. You failed to disclosed that the “Doctors” that gave her the CRPS diagnosis are not actually doctors. Also, Dr. Smith’s findings were not allowed as evidence during the trial, which is a huge part of why the COURT decided on the separation. The COURT, not the hospital nor Smith, were who made that decision. She also miraculously got better during and when she left hospital. It is also not the hospital’s responsibility her mother sadly decided to take her own life. My conclusions are my own after watching the Netflix “documentary” and numerous podcasts regarding the case.

Mama2lbgSo well researched and well doneBig fan of this podcast. Love her voice. Love the research. It’s a calming interesting show Not sure if you read these , but there’s one tiny thing that drives me bonkers. An item inserted into a semi automatic handgun is NOT A CLIP. It is a magazine. A clip is what you see in the army movies where the exposed bullets are quickly fed into the weapon
-
rosalleaExceptionalAll the right ingredients, made more complex and complete by hearing court testimony. The host is perfect; kind, neutral, well paced and honest without distracting banter. Highly recommended and one I support. Thank you for sharing and for all the work you continue to do

Meow AlongSuperior qualityLike most people, I listen to a number of different podcasts within the true crime category. Whenever Court Junkie releases a new episode, I find myself listening to it before anything else in my queue. And yeah, they just announced that they’ll be releasing a new episode only every other week for a while. I’m undeterred. The production, story flow, and respect for victims are unmatched. This is a more serious storytelling format, but it’s not rigid. Just more objective, which I appreciate. Thank you for all you do!
-
B202276508264SadI’m so sad to learn that you will only be releasing an episode every other week! Buy I applaud you for setting a boundary to spend more time with your family. I also really enjoy Civil and hope that there will be more episodes in the future!

61BannersBest True Crime Podcast for Me !Interesting, on point, good mix of actual court recordings. Found it about two years ago and have been bingeing ever since. That podcaster is moving to a biweekly schedule for all the right reasons is a big plus for this Mama.
-
MNfanaticUsed to be my favoriteJillian no longer does her own research and it shows. She had a guy filling in for her and couldn’t listen to those episodes. I’ll play episodes for background noise but I no longer get excited for new episodes.
-
glittergirly60Great podcastI have been listening to this podcast for years and Jillian’s voice is soothing and she is a great storyteller. Thank you *****
-
charle45Easy to listen to exceptFor the mispronunciations!! This woman is infuriating!! Please check names, legal terms and just words in general! Otherwise, not a bad podcast.
-
@Kirstengraciela__Great PodcastJillian’s voice is so soothing! I look forward to every episode. She is very thorough with content and research.
-
KellyeeeeeExquisite!Love both podcasts so much! Keep it up! 💜💚🩵
-
broooooseGREAT VOICEA really well articulated and enunciated host who’s voice - in busts and over time - is really quite pleasant…vis a vis ASMR.
-
itinalouise10/10!This podcast is one of my favorites! I am so happy every time I see a new episode! Please keep up the great work! Don’t change a thing!
-
adw48Court casesIt’s interesting to listen to the cases as they’re presented in court. The ads are frequent and very long, the host often asks for donations. Other podcast have ads but this one is a bit much
-
Talula8SponsorsThe podcast is fine and I enjoyed listening to the episode I did, however I won’t be listening again because of one of her sponsors.
-
BigBrianMcKnightFanAds on Ads. You are losing credibilityHost read ads are nice bc we trust the host..but you do to many: come on..ur even shilling for Harbinger who buys an ad on everyone’s podcast. Now I don’t believe anything you say you “love”
-
Ashleyyyyy34563Good podcast but covers stories everyone else coversI really like this podcast but it seems they are behind the curve in their stories - it’s like 8 weeks after a major case has happened, they are covering it. By that time, every other podcast and YouTube channel has covered the story. I’d suggest they cover other types of cases.
-
Nanadx3A really good podcast!I found this podcast recently and am really enjoying it. I highly recommend it.
-
Space_missionGreat podcast!Your narration is very good and I look forward to hearing each episode!
-
mrsimms13Easily one of my favorite podcastsI love this podcast so much!!! I wish civil had more episodes <3
-
jumping dogRe case of James ScottWould you consider looking in to this case? It seems to be a simple case of greed and a scapegoat. He was convicted (1992?) of causing break in levee in Quincy/Hannibal MO, resulting in significant flooding.
-
thelitunicornGreat podcastI listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is one of my favorites!!! Jillian does a great job.
-
BschoraGood show, but... PLEASE DITCH THE HYPED-UP ADS.OH YES. THE WORSE COMMERCIAL ADS OF ALL. You know the ones I’m talking about, the fast food ads with 30-seconds of hyper-speeded-up blather disclaimers at the end? Dear God! Can I poke my eyeballs out now? THE WORSE. Four, five times in a single episode. It’s worse than commercial television. One Star Penalty.
-
loette58Great showI just love this podcast it is well written and the host voice is soothing and I look for that in a podcast she’s straight to the point
-
Scribble03Glad Jillian is Back !!Been a long time listener & I am so glad Jillian is back from Maternity Leave ❤️ I couldn’t listen to another person on my favorite podcast!
-
Ultravox5050Updated: yes, please fix intro!Thank you Haufneich! I wrote about this a few years ago, and apparently they don’t care! "Sorry for the grammar policing, but the dangling modifier in the opening is driving me crazy. "In partnership with Law and Crime“ applies to Jillian/Court Junkie, not to “you” (the listener). This isn’t hard to fix! As for the show, I listened to this during the pandemic to escape the wall-to-wall current event discussion on the news, NPR, and elsewhere. Now this podcast too is mostly just more current event discussion and not much mystery or detective or legal thinking, which is a weakness in a true crime podcast."
-
HaufneichI'm listening all by myself.I'm not doing anything in partnership with Law and Crime. I'm certainly not listening to the podcast in partnership with Law and Crime. I've got listening to the podcast handled. I don't need a partner. I'm listening to Court Junkie, published in partnership with Law and Crime. That aside I love the pod

PollenkoffLanguageYou can use whatever language you please, it’s your podcast. However know this, people are turning away because of being blasted with F words. Just saying.
-
JanalearSub hostWho is the sub host? I love his voice.
-
adelaferrellContent and verbiageLove the content and the cases presented. However, I do not like or appreciate the use of the terms “potty mouth”, “fowl language” or “offensive language” to censor language used by any certain subject. You are taking away from how events actually transpired and led up to a trial. They make a difference. Often they are words chosen to fit one’s emotion (and can sometimes be quite therapeutic). If you are offended of such language you are doing yourself a disservice, not to mention robbing the listener of the full story. If you are worried that listeners may be offended by such language give a disclaimer. But, they probably shouldn’t be listening to true crime podcasts in the first place.
-
leslie_willShameful and shamelessPolitical agenda under the guise of true crime. Disappointing and divisive. Be better.
-
missgeegee2020XXXTENTACIONThe reporter that was interviewed throughout the episode has the most annoying way of speaking. Waaaay too many um’s woven into her segments
-
ichibanroseDefending Harvey WeinsteinYuck!
-
jailaInformative. Engaging. Well researched.I’ve listened to every episode. I enjoy this podcast because it’s everything you need and nothing you don’t. Full of details but not loaded with opinion or chat. It’s the case facts and the outcome. The narrators voice flows. She’s not overly chatty or fake. She’s not attempting to act out the discussion like other crime podcast seem to do. A+ podcast!!
-
Credibility specialistCredibility specialistI took some time today to listen to your show!! Court Junkie, is a fantastic podcast with great info, and perspectives. You won't regret listening to and learning from the podcast.
-
gardenmaster007Hard listenThis narrator is so bad.. She is unbearably monotone. You can’t even tell the difference between her telling the story and then reading the commercial script. I’d love to listen to these stories told by someone else. Jillian, this is not your calling.
