I’ve been listening to Superhero Ethics since 2020 and absolutely love this podcast. It’s unique from other superhero podcasts in that’s it doesn’t just say “I loved/hated this movie because…” and instead dives into the real world implications behind these pieces of superhero media. It’s insightful and honestly has made me a more thoughtful and overall better person in my day-to-day life. Matthew (the host) and all their guests are great and I would highly recommend!!

I love this podcast! Always a great, thought provoking discussion about ethics in different movies. I’m a big Marvel fan but the movies deal with such huge ethical quandaries and it’s great t hear smart, nerdy people discuss them.

These are the sort of conversations my friends and family have about the minutiae of fictional universes. Great podcast that makes you think.

How much can you say about the ethics of superheroes? It turns out -- so much! These guys are great, and I love the perspective they bring to so many different properties. Part philosophy class, part nerd party, the cast never disappoints!

I love listening to your viewpoints of sexuality, ethics, and your take on True Blood. I read all the Sookie Stackhouse books and was obsessed with the show when it came out. Long time vampire fan here. When I use these shows as escapism I tend to miss a lot of the underlying tones. But listening to your podcast helps me see different views that I missed but can certainly apply to real life. Thank you for all you do! Keep up the great work. Panda love

I love all the things you usually talk about on this show, superheros, scifi, etc. But I really enjoyed the Raya/Luca episode. I watched both of these movies with my kids and it was nice to have a higher level discussion about these beautiful children movies.

Superhero Ethics is such a great concept for a podcast. I really enjoyed the episodes breaking down Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I haven't listened to the new True Blood episode yet, but am excited that you are covering it because I enjoyed that show as well! All the Stranded Panda podcasts are excellent and worth your time. If you haven't checked them all out yet, you are missing out.

I just started listening from the very beginning and really enjoyed the Batman episodes. He is my favorite DC hero and I enjoyed the ethical discussion about the Batman universe. Looking forward to binging my way through the episodes.

This is a show that will really get you thinking about the conversations long after the show has finished playing. Much different than a regular recap show, focusing on the ethical questions is a unique and engaging angle to engage with the material.

Love the idea of ethical conundrums in the superhero universe. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about these things, and having two smart guys talking through these fun movies in a completely different way, is such a novel idea. It also applies to real life, which is kind of the point. It’s a way of understanding people and characters who don’t all think the same way. These guys are great to listen to. They know their stuff and are both surprising and funny.

I have listened to a few episodes and I am hooked. I can't wait to go back and start binging from the beginning. Thanks for such an entertaining and thought provoking show!

The Shang Chi episode was really fun. Looking at the dynamics of an underrepresented group of people finally getting their own Hollywood superhero. I enjoyed the conversation.

I like how the hosts share different points of views on topics I never really thought about before. I find myself thinking about their conversations long after I’m done with the podcast.

Great network and podcast

I really enjoyed the Daredevil episode when you took a look at his origin and the ethics of that character. It was an interesting conversation looking at the mix of his superpowers, disability, religion and lawyer career.... and how all those things work together within his character.

I love this show! It really makes me think. I really enjoyed todays episode digging into the Purple Man from Jessica Jones. The recent Shang Chi discussion was excellent as well.

This pod is always a smart and thoughtful conversation. Always a fan to push deeper thought.

This show is really interesting to me a lot of the times and is often a great listen because they always touch on those questions that normally you would just ignore because you want to enjoy these superhero shows or movies for what they are. Sometimes it is nice to dwell a little deeper and think about the ramifications of certain actions that superhero generally cause and what those consequences would be. Love this show!

How can superhero movies teach us about morality and ethical decision making in our own life? Why are characters that can shoot laser beams out of their eyes and break the laws of physics still very relatable? this show discuss universal truths of human behavior and how they guide our understanding of the characters we have so much fun with.

This show really makes you think about the things we take for granted. The episodes have made me thing critically about pop culture. They’ve touched on a little of everything race, culture, identity, ability. The episodes where they talk about the ability issues in FATWS were great.

I did not think a discussion about superhero ethics would be fun but now I love it. I love that this podcast really deep dives into my favorite movies, shows and characters. I may not always agree with what’s said here but that’s what makes me want to listen. I hear perspectives that I may not necessarily agree with that allow me to view the world differently. The hosts do a really great job at dissecting the content they’ve consumed and I look forward to listening every week. Thanks for the great podcast guys!

I have found that this is the stranded panda show that leaves me thinking about moral questions, which I think is very important. Just wanted to say I love this podcast and hope you keep it up.

This show is great if you like philosophical conversations about marvel movies. They make you think deeper and ask the hard questions. It’s the podcast I never knew I needed
