Really? Isn’t the point of going to the theatre to get triggered?

I kept forgetting this podcast even existed until I sat down to solitary dinner having listened to all the recent Slate Plus podcasts & there it was in my podcast app. I found this coverage of the week a welcome breath of NEW despite subscribing & supporting 10 or more news sources (from which I read mostly just headlines because it’s all so very depressing) which all seem to trumpet the same stories. I’ll try to remember to listen in next week & maybe backtrack to see what I’ve missed.

Love Olly and most of the regular guests but can’t stand Abdul. I usually find him annoying but he was particularly obnoxious is the last episode.

I always enjoy the commentary and thoughtfulness

Great content. Bad engineering, volume levels are all over the place. Hard to follow sometimes because you have to have your finger on the volume control.

Oddly today’s episode didn’t play instead it played the next podcast lined up on my list. Help!

He is also pompous and condescending to the younger reporters. He is out of touch and I can’t listen anymore. Learn about humility and grace, Olly.

Olly asks the questions that come to my mind. They do a great job explaining the backstory for current events.

The modern news media has become as formulaic as cinema and television. It’s nice to hear about stories overlooked by corporate media behemoths, and the discussion is entertaining.

My jaw literally fell to the floor listening to this drivel. The discourse on most topics left little to be desired. The biggest shock was one of the female hosts categorically stating that any man accused of rape deserves to die. Wow.

The topics are interesting but the hosts conversations are boring and they don’t seem very intelligent. The two female hosts are also very condescending which I don’t like.

Wish more would find out about this!
