modernrockstarWeird show, pseudo intellectual?Such a weird interviewer who comes off more as a stoned guy with famous guests. Such wasted opportunity to ask real intriguing questions. Lex sounds under prepared and didn’t bother reading his guests’ books. YIKES.
-
Mike AppleI wouldn’t start here.I’m not actually sure why there is a host. The guest just rambled on for a few hours. I think the host actually said more during the 10+ minutes of ad reads.

温的万次方Entitled Indian Guy wants to cut family immigrationI guess he doesn’t want to live with his Indian grandparents or his Indian grandparents are the elite class back in Indian. Anyway, he’s out of touch and against family reunion for immigrants.
-
OglopfoosbottomLost InterestThe math interviews he did were neat. He would cut them off before they got into interesting territory though. Mostly a podcast for people to “feel” smart as they listen to fools. Also, as a combat vet I hate this dude. He promotes silly people with awful ideas that take care and money out of vets hands and put it into the hands of billionaires like his crush, Elon Musk. Seriously, I think Lex wants to date the guy. Anyway, just another trash podcast trying to sell you trash products while having trash conversations that they claim are “intelligent” or “deep”. Lol. It’s as deep as this review.

fehn88Brilliant interview with SaagarThis legitimately might be one of the most informative and engrossing interviews I’ve ever listened to on a podcast aside from Red Scare. You can tell Saagar has a genuine passion for everything historical and political, and that enthusiasm made an over 3-hour interview easily fly by.

Merritt BadgePart of the problemThe lack of accountability, fact checking, and anti-journalism is abundant. Overall the interviews just allow for the swamp to expand. He aims to be unbiased or nonpartisan but Lex is part of the problem. He is fueling the swamp because it benefits him, his ego, and his friends who exist on the fringe and morally ambivalent patriarchy. I listen here and there to understand the toxins entering American sociogenics.

Kraken2023White washing white supremacismMany of the interviews are great but the lack of pushback against white supremacist ideas gives them an unearned appearance of legitimacy
-
Mer.ClaireIt feels like he just has right-leaning guests onAnd doesn’t ask hard questions to these people or hold people accountable. Feels like one of the crypto bro manoverse podcasts that brainwashed so many men during this election :/
-
RSE*TAlways interestingLex asks the best questions and keeps the discussions interesting and really seeks to understand where people are coming from and gets to all the most revealing areas by staying authentically focused and curious. Totally appreciate all he does. Wonderful!!!
-
MruhyfgnmkdsoverratedFridman is not a journalist and it shows. He’s able to get controversial guests because they know he won’t ask hard questions or challenge any of their statements regardless of the absurdity. He claims to be guided by “empathy” but it comes across as appeasement and journalistic incompetence. I listened to 10+ shows and every time was increasingly more annoyed at his lack interviewing skills. Ultimately, his goal appears to be to simply be popular and profitable but not advancing any real dialogue or holding powerful people to account. He’s better at sycophancy than anything else. A pithy summary of this podcast would be “Joe Rogan in a suit”.

maudie805All time favoriteBest podcast content. Always so interesting and informative. Plus Lex is a sweetheart. An all around good human. I’m always keeping an eye out for the next Lex Fridman Podcast.
-
zbronfmanMy favorite podcastLex is a fantastic interviewer He speaks to so many different types of people in so many interesting fields I’ve learned so much Also the ads are in the beginning and there’s no dynamic shifts during the podcasts. Love it. Great content
-
DjButt3rB1scuitNeutral podcastEveryone goes to work and talks to your coworkers about shows, movies and podcasts, some podcasts get political and people tend not to like it, Lex is by far my favorite podcast host, every episode i can talk to my family and friends about and recommend other listeners.
-
adelaferrellEpisode 451Fascinating!!!
-
jwalk147Very goodLex is one of the best interviewers

O*MrNiCeGuY*GMan...There are lots of unfortunate people leaving some really negative reviews here. Maybe someone should post a link to something more their speed. I think they might be interested in something enthralling like "See Spot Run". After all, Spot does run fast!
-
ianiss121A Kind ReviewLex is an amazing person. His character and passions are all so deep and interesting. My favorite episodes are the ones with Paul Rosalie. Still can’t believe you spent 2 weeks in the Amazon Jungle with one of the greatest jungle-keepers ever! Just love what you’re doing and it is inspiring to so many. Highly recommend!
-
manayunk wallI don't get itApparently they censor your reviews here! So I will try again. I don't understand why this guy is getting so many 5 star ratings/reviews! His deliverly is slow, meandering and unfocused. He offers zero charisma as a host. "Flat" would be a genrous description of his manner of speech. Since my previous review was taken down I wonder if there is manipulation of the algorithm for this posdcast to receive such high ratings when my experience of the few that I have listened to are the exact opposite of a 5 star review. 1 star...pass.

Throckmorton79Scared little boyThis is what happens when mommy doesn’t love you…or loves you too much.
-
ShaunR79Thank youThank you for the excellent interview with Bernie as Sanders. The interview with Sheldon Solomon was also great.
-
miami_alThe grift is strong hereWhat’s with all the culture warrior/secular guru/alt-right quacks? Maybe more focus on tech vs society? Maybe Lex has taken to just following the money at this point? Another one bites the dust, I guess.
-
Hyuionhfd2Right wing slantYou have too many right wing fascists on your podcasts. Technology is not a right wing thing
-
scott0360Amazing podcasts!!Lex, I respect and appreciate your views that is partly why I enjoy listening to you also your are a great interviewer. The statement you made after your podcast was very well said. I think anyone who try’s to box you into being on the red or blue side truly doesn’t understand you. I’ve have learned so much about people and life from your long form interviews. I think it would be great if everyone presidential candidate was interviewed by you. You are truly a great interviewer. It’s refreshing to have someone with out a motive of tarring apart a person or promoting them do a interview. I really hope you get to interview more world leaders. I think you are the best person to provide us with real content and insight from a place of compassion and making the world a better place. And to the people who say your right wing they are stuck in a place where they can’t see past their own narrow views. The world would be a better place if we all challenged our own views and opinions about politics and life. And try to learn from those we disagree with. Thank you for being brave enough to do interviews that are challenging and will bring you controversy.
-
Passenger99Best interviewerCurious, accommodating, and compassionate. Lex is easy to love. Just ask Joe Rogan, Michael Malice, Elon Musk, Eric Weinstein, Jordan Peterson, anyone. Seeing him and Malice together is a real treat.
-
El Jeff-ELex the T-RexYou should all be ashamed of yourselves, perched like birds on a wire, comfortably chirping out shallow, surface-level critiques. The reason you’re able to make these criticisms is because he’s out there actually trying to create something of value for others. I hope you’re doing the same. Lex uses a personable, almost gonzo-like interview style, where he navigates conversations with divisive figures in a way that’s thoughtful and open. While he could push back more, it’s not his role to impose judgments—it’s up to the listener to make up their own mind. His approach lets us explore the minds of others without forcing conclusions.

Klauski57Tough to take seriously, but periodically very goodIve been listening to this podcast since the beginning and initially found it fresh, insightful and thoughtful and shines brightest when it covers tech-related and science topics. For interviews of this caliber to be interesting, the host really has to periodically fact check and push back as required. Otherwise whats the point of having a productive discussion? Over the last couple of years Lex has also decided to take on geo/domestic politics that affect us all; in these cases, save the warm fuzzy feelings for sesame street and try harder to get to some truth. Maybe the host has become reluctant to push back for fear of getting a rep as a tough interviewer? A lot of my favorite podcasts are succumbing to this. nonetheless, the podcast wasn't always this way and having folks like Trump on seems more like selfish self-promotion rather than finding out what the interviewee truly stands for.
-
PaulAtreidesOfArrakisAn acquired tasteLike many good things, Lex is an acquired taste. His style and presentation are unlike anything I’ve heard before, and I can see why some people don’t love it. I like that he doesn’t impose his agenda or views on his guests, rather he just tees up an interesting question and lets them roll. Pretty cool. I just listened to the Vejas Liulevicius, which was fascinating! It’s so great to listen to someone who a) really knows his topic, and b) knows how to speak about it in a coherent manner.
-
Nevsky46Far-right self-infatuationJust another pandering blowhard so desperate for listeners and relevance-adjacency that he’ll provide a platform for conspiracy theorists and liars like Vivek and Trump(s). What a disappointment, just another wannabe alpha male struggling to exist in a world where their privilege is threatened.
-
PCbnbnbjggLame podcastLex seemed mesmerized by Ivanka Trump? Can’t take Lex seriously.
-
Ana_ShettyMy go to podcastLove how Lex brings on people with different specialities. I always wanted to improve my general knowledge about fields outside my expertise and finding this podcast has tremendously helped with that. Thank you Lex.
-
RapidRob914Not very interesting, unimpressedI don’t understand why Lex Fridman is considered some huge intellect or some great compelling thinker…. He seems to only be able to parrot the most superficial MSM narratives and his idea of debating complex issues is asking his genuinely interesting thoughtful guests to “ steel man” there opponents ideas… super lame super boring. Lex GPT. This guy needs to grow up sounds like a child.
-
BigPapaSquatGreat DiscussionsSome of the reviews seem to dislike the interview style, but I think it’s good. Unlike some other podcast hosts, Lex really allows his guest to speak more than him and you can see their views. Every once in a while I wish he would push back more, particularly when someone in power is on the podcast. When you have a powerful politician on, I think it’s your duty to put their feet to the fire a bit and remind them of their responsibility to the people. However, overall, I think he is a great interviewer. It’s impressive that he manages to have coherent interviews with both right wing people and left wing people.

relievedmom360vivek was fabulous but don’t need any more lexvivek was fabulous and clear. Lex questionable i can’t respect anyone who think tim walz is a cool dude.
-
Calvin cccGenuinely SadAnother once brilliant mind, warped by an audience who fill his coffers while he twists himself into pretzels to serve their every conspiratorial leaning. What happened to you Lex? To intellectual rigor and morality? ‘I’m just asking questions, I’m just an innocent curious person’. All your meaningless talk about Stalinism and communism and authoritarianism, only to turn around and help launder the reputations of the worst of America. ‘But I’m wearing a suit and I used to talk tech - and now Kanye! And the Trumps! And Tucker Carlson everybody’ I hope you’re ashamed, you betrayed us man, and yourself.
-
DmpdxDon’t understand the appealA friend of mine referred me to this podcast for the quality of the interviews and the diversity of subjects. While there’s certainly a diversity of subjects, Lex has to be one of the most boring hosts I’ve ever listened to. He speaks in a low, frequently unintelligible monotone and has a weird halting style that is unpleasant to listen to. He might be a smart guy, but I don’t find his podcast enjoyable
-
AutimontserattiVivek 🙌🇺🇸❤️❤️Thank you for bringing this brilliant and ambitious man on your show. He is such an important voice our time.
-
AliceInMankatolandMutationThis podcast was originally about technology, computing, machine learning, and AI. Lex is allowed to evolve, unfortunately, I have not evolved in the same way. There are still some interesting tech interviews happening here. I want more of that from Lex. There is enough coverage of polarizing policy and fallen celebrity out there. Proximity to power? Don’t let Lex get lost in that. I used to passionately recommend this podcast. I am embarrassed. It became a joke amongst my intellectual friends. I became the joke.
-
bufframblerNot worth my timeI was introduced to this podcast by a very intelligent friend earlier this year. At first, I was intrigued, I even forced myself to listen to the whole Trump episode. What a disappointment. Unsubscribing.
-
alienflower27Thank you for your open mindednessHello! Thank you for having Trump on and not giving in to The mainstream media and looking into things yourself. We need to talk to each and not feel so threatened. I’m a republican and I can’t talk to people because they won’t sit down and have a reasonable conversation. I hope to try the news organization that you suggested. I’m looking for facts and I can make up my own mind. I don’t need the media to do it for me.
-
trance79Has everyone finally lost their minds?Lex is a master of highly accessible deep-dives delving into a range of complex topics. He effortlessly manages to blend and balance tech, philosophy, the future, AI/ML, and the human condition. And yes, occasionally politics. He is intelligent and well-spoken. He is knowledgeable and his curiosity and thirst for knowledge shine through each episode. With a placid, calming demeanor and universal respect for guests, many discussions turn introspective and “real”. Check out the show if you enjoy picking apart cutting-edge tech while pondering the meaning of life. As for the title of my review. I’m disheartened by the number of reviewers airing personal grievances against Trump, thinly disguised behind grossly unfounded criticism against Lex Fridman. Consider the amount of time spent each day that you allow Trump, Biden, Kamala, whoever, to seep into your thoughts, fears, hopes, worries, and actions. C’mon, you are better than that! Redirect the time into anything constructive. Start a new hobby. Help a neighbor. Decide to be the agent of change for good instead of waiting on someone else to do it. It definitely took me too long to figure it out and let go. And for goodness sake, stop ripping poor Lex a new one 😅🤣
-
PoeDiddleyUnfortunately not what it used to beWas definitely a fan for a few years but lately it’s just gone downhill. I miss the science, ai, and robotics talks. What about the tech roots? Having politicians campaigning on a show that used to seem to stand for logic is a new low. If he had gone too left I’d feel the same way because logic and politics dont mix. Had to unfollow cannot support using political grandstanding just to temporarily rake in either sides followers for ratings or monetary gains.
-
abiscuit333Goodbye.After years of listening to Lex and enjoying challenging and thought provoking conversations this podcast has become a huge let down and disappointment. Do better. Biased political platform doesn’t equal thought provoking or innovative content. Give me some people with actual intelligence to listen to not click bait celebrity.
-
Dylan H bbqIts gone down hillJust finally unsubscribed after the past couple of months. Lex really used to ask interesting questions and really used to put people’s feet to the fire and fact check. The trump podcast really was the nail in the coffin on this feeling after he just let him bandstand instead of doing what he used to be so good at. Its really a shame. I miss the early lex days :(
-
walkingspanishdownthehallWhat happened?Just listen to Hardcore History.
-
Betsy WolfstonTrumpI loved your conversations with Sam Harris and Rick Rubin. There was a sense of intelligence, insight and curiosity. Sorry to see you going down the power drain where quality interviews isn’t a factor anymore, just fluff and name dropping. Aren’t you getting bored with who you interview? How did your brain even sit through this interview? I couldn’t last. Trump - dribble, slur sounded drunk. No insight of any kind. A waste of your time and ours.
-
Amberl1196453My favoriteI just love this podcast. Lex is respectful and I really get to know the guests due to the long interview style with the right questions asked.
-
ObjectivismIsNotPhilosopyMossad Agent or Russian Mole?I loved his Dan Carlin podcast simply because Lex was so effusive in his praise of Dan. Otherwise I find gaping holes in his worldview and an inability to challenge the guests that need to be challenged. He is definitely not the smartest guy, nor the most well-read guy, nor the greatest interviewer, nor charismatic. In fact it was pretty obvious Lex hadn’t listened to any of Dan Carlin’s podcasts. It's fine I guess, but it’s more likely than not he’s just a Mossad agent. He was definitely bootstrapped by someone into celebrity. Speaking of Mossad, I will never understand the Israeli government support of the anti-Semite Elon Musk. Maybe they want to make life so unsafe for the diaspora that they’ll be forced to come to Israel and create demographic “facts on the ground”. Someone should ask Lex - but I doubt he’s smart enough to understand the question. Nor would they have trusted him with the answer.
-
lmagg91FoolHaving Trump on was pathetic. Lex showed his true colors. Don’t support this clown.
-
mikemyWeakI’m not sure value it brings to have despicable people on your podcast, ask interesting questions and then give them a complete pass when they don’t answer the questions and spout complete nonsense. If your going to bring people on, hold them to the questions you asked them. Otherwise, there’s no point.
-
StudytheWorldIntellectually lazy and disingenuousOver time legitimately compelling conversations with sound criticality have degraded into intellectually lazy disingenuous windmill tilting. Overly softball interviews paired with myopic takes just serve to amplify and platform nonsense while lending it the veneer of intellectualism. It’s boring, tired, and reminiscent of selling snake oil to folks prone to MLMs. It’s a shame as Lex is capable of much more.
