Why did I rate it 5 stars?
Because I could not rate it a 6. This is by far the best podcast I have ever listened to. The three ladies provided in depth discussion about one of the most finely crafted shows ever. It felt, as they intended, like we were sitting in a living room with cocktails and having a seeping rewarding and fun conversation. I have watched Dark 3 times over the years and they still provided so much new insight otherwise missed by me. It is long series of listens but worth it to the point you are sad that it reached it’s conclusion.

    Mandatory Listening for Dark Watchers
If you’ve seen Dark, this podcast is vital for getting the most out of your experience. I recommend starting this podcast as soon as you’ve finished the series. Incredible work!!

    I love this podcast
I listened when it first came out when I watched Dark my first time. Just this week I decided to rewatch Dark for the 3rd-ish time and rediscovered this. I love love love that this podcast is also available for a re-listen. It’s not a rewatch. So much deeper.

Loving the detailed discussion, not the vocal fry
Started listening almost immediately after finishing “Dark”. I love the detailed discussions here so far (I’m on ep 5 of the podcast). My only issue is the vocal fry is really annoying. It’s a pet peeve of mine and likely generational as I’m a GenXer. Interesting listen if you can get past the vocal fry.

    Be warned
This is a fine podcast, but I didn’t get the memo and right from the beginning it is packed with spoilers! DO NOT listen as an episode by episode discussion. I might listen later after I am done watching all the available episodes.

    Shared Obsession
The dark three are your perfectly imperfect friends to deep dive into the themes and symbolism in Dark. I started watching dark two years ago when my dad was diagnosed with cancer and it was my escape from the worry. These super fans opening up about their lives and their grief has helped me so much as I deal with my dads ongoing illness and processing these life experiences through a beautiful and rich piece of art that Dark is with these thoughtful, earnest people has been great. They don’t get things right all the time, THANK GOD, as that frees the listener to be open to new interpretations. Glad I could revisit Dark with them.

    Dark
I found this podcast after it was completed. I absolutely love it. The hosts have done a wonderful job researching and passing on just about everything to do with Dark. They have answered so many questions I've had about this show. Anyone who is obsessed with Dark can learn a lot from listening to this podcast. I recommend it highly.

The Swearing hosts demean the show
The hosts are knowledgeable but the non stop f word makes them seem ignorant and without vocabulary. Quit before it ended.

I love you and I will miss you
Like the hosts of this wonderful podcast, I am prolonging the experience as long as I can (I haven’t finished, and as of where I’ve listened, the hosts don’t want it to be over yet). I don’t want this podcast to end either. It really does feel like a conversation with friends in your living room, about our favorite show, which not enough people have watched. The revelations, theories, discoveries, analysis, etc. have been excellent. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who wants a deep dive after watching the whole show, or just more Dark after finishing. We will remember you. Also, please do Russian Doll next!

I’m seriously obsessed with this podcast
Hi! So a friend of mine recommended the show Dark for me to watch during a break from grad school. Little did I know it would lead me down the “Dark” obsession rabbit hole, and then to your wonderful podcast. I’ve been binging it ever since I found it . I couldn’t stop thinking about Dark after I finished the show, so I searched Apple podcasts for a show to help me understand what I just watched. I love the chemistry you three have and the passion you all express. Im currently on the grief episode, so I have so much more to listen to, which is so exciting! I was an English major in undergrad and currently a psychology major so all the themes you discuss intrigue me on so many levels! Thanks for the show and for being you, because this podcast brings me so much joy :)

Smart Women Discussing a Smart Show
Three amazing hosts, Pumpkinberry, Mirggles, and AcornBandit , discuss themes throughout Dark. Relying on deep research and personal knowledge and experience, these three examine the often overlooked details that make Dark the wonderful show that we love.

    Great for geeking out
I’ve just finished dark so was eager to find discussion content to unravel some of the deeper mysteries. For those that are interested in really getting into the weeds (of cinematographic references and clues or psychological character motivations, for example), you will really enjoy this podcast. For those that are looking for more broad discussions of plot, this is not the best resource as it does jump around and focus on specific nuances and themes in each podcast episode. For my personal taste, this definitely has a place in my repertoire of things to listen to! But it’s not necessarily the first choice depending on needs. Nevertheless, appreciate this resource for sure and certainly worth checking out as a fan of the show!!

    So disappointing.
I love Dark, so much do that I’ve sought out all the podcasts and videos that I can find about it. This has beautiful thumbnail art, and I love the idea of hearing more womens’ voices deconstructing and analyzing this amazing show, but after several attempts I’ve given up on trying to listen to this. The factors that led me to this decision follow: - The fake names they’ve chosen are annoying. - The detailed reporting and theorizing on set and costume elements/names/etc. they’ve decided to ascribe deep significance to are frustrating, because most of these elements do not seem as significant as they are making them out to be. - The woman who I’d consider the primary host keeps referring to reading fan-created web content about Dark as her “research”, and,...that’s not what research means. Obviously not in a scientific sense, but not in a journalistic one either. - Some of my other reasons might stray into ad hominem territory, and I’d rather not go there. I would love to love this show, and I’m disappointed that it’s unlistenable.

    So fun & insightful
I just discovered this podcast after watching Dark and love it. The hosts are so fun and insightful, and have great discussions. I’m a big fan of Mugglecast (a Harry Potter discussion podcast) and this podcast give me similar vibes (which is a huge compliment!).

Best podcast about the show that I have found! Lots of perceptive things and a really nice, conversational tone. Awesome escape from the real world in podcast land. Thank you!

If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Dark, you NEED to subscribe to this podcast! I stumbled across it when a comment was made on a Facebook fan page about Dark. It was a post about the way “I love you” is spoken in German and how there are different ways to say it. My mind was blown and someone had mentioned in the comments that this podcast had talked about it. (My reaction was a full stop, with a head turn and a record scratch sound effect) “Podcast?! What’s it called?!” Got listening to it right away and was delighted by the charm that these three women (now known as the Dark Three) exuded through my speakers. It really does feel like a conversation that I’m in with them. The first episode was a bit messy, and I kept saying, “No, that’s not what happened, but this did.” But one of the other Three would correct it. (I was happy all the loose ends get tied up.) I wanted to write in after that first episode, but thought I should listen to the rest of the episodes before I did. Every episode has been a JOY to listen to and I look forward to every Thursday. Their conversations sometimes gets very personal for them and I’m thankful that they share their stories. They also do really great research on the topic of conversations they have and I love when they come across a revelation and their minds get blown. Their excitement about their findings gets me all worked up and I’m sure if anyone looking into my car while I’m listening to this podcast would think I’m crazy. When an episode gets to its end, I’m bummed that it’s done. Now I just have to wait till the next week.

    I LOVE THIS PODCAST
Listening to this podcast every week has been such a joy. Hearing all the theories and little details that they catch blows my mind every episode. I can tell so much work goes in to the research for these episodes, and it really shows in the way that the topics are discussed. It’s such a great listen if you love diving in to the details just as much as PB, Acorn, and Mirrgles do!
