    Quick news you need
Love to have a quick recap of things around Chicago twice a day. Keep up the good work!

    Good info; inconsistent release timing
The Rundown is a great resource akin to NYTimes’s The Headlines but with the Chicagoland area as the focus. My only complaint is that I can’t count on each morning’s episode coming out at or near a consistent time. I don’t mind a reasonable window (e.g. between 7a-7:30a) but the current system is not conducive to incorporating the show into my morning routine.

They do a great job of summarizing local Chicago & state-wide news in an easily digestible format.

    Best Source for Quick News!
This show is exactly what I was looking for when trying to find a podcast that focuses only on Chicago news. Most other local news podcasts work in world news, which I get enough of from BBC.

    To the Point
A part of my morning routine is to listen to the 5 minute Rundown episodes with Adora Namiga Day (apologies if this is misspelled that’s how the transcript wrote your name). When listening I’ve learned of cool events and stay up to date on what’s happening in the Chicagoland area.

    Not real news
Hopelessly woke, soft “journalism.” Approaches every story with an activist stance. For example, with the nascar race, they didn’t report on any hard facts like attendance, results, economic impact etc.; instead they just interviewed some people who “feel like” the audience is getting more diverse. No wonder no one is donating.

Amazing Way to Connect With My Family
The Run Down offers an awesome way for me to connect with my brother. Not only do I get two episode of pertinent local news per day, but I also get a nuanced and very intentional cultural lesson about our beautiful city. So many times I have sent a midday episode to my brother to connect with him on interesting history/culture of Chicago. For example, the episode about the black pilots of the city was such a cool episode to connect with him on. Thank you for all you do, Run Down team! Your work matters!

This is listening to authentic Chicago
This show is a daily driver of news and information, but also a valuable resource of culture, arts, life, and experiences that are true and authentic to the City of Chicago. The Rundown is a must. I’m an Android listener who logged into Apple for the first time in 6 years to give you 5 stars.

    LOVE the two-part local focus
This is EXCELLENT, just what I needed in my queue. I’m quite enamored of the format: a morning edition with a news roundup, an afternoon edition with either a Cook County human interest story, or a focus on some community event, or possibly even more news … and of course, I can listen to them whenever I have time — most excellent. I particularly like the conscientious way in which you frequently give voice to communities which have more typically been marginalized. Bravo, good work all around!

    Feels too young for me!
I can’t pay attention to what they are talking about most of the time—so much “up-speak” making every sentence a question. My middle aged nerves can’t take it. I went back to the more mature content. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Worth your time with Limited interruptions
I started as a skeptic. This podcast has grown on me and I think it's well worth your time. The host does a great job and interruptions are minimal. PS. I have only listened to the morning version so this review may not apply to the afternoon version.
