(Walter55)Ok what’s going on?UPDATE: 1/6/25 Have to agree with the latest reviews, the stories are getting BORING! The guys just reading. What happened to the stories that had some meat to them, monsters, creepy story lines, not just some dull, boring stories that just RAMBLE ON AND ON BY A MONOTONE BORING VOICE ACTOR. Bring back the original stories with monsters and mayhem, and stop the old lady boring readings. WTFH???? A 2 1/2 hr show and after 30 mins two cackling old hens come on flapping their gums about some stupid podcast show, what is that nonsense about

Malhead411It used to be great…I loved it so much but now you need either new voice actors or to stop using AI. It’s really ruining it.

VeelikkAI — voices and storylines…This podcast started off promising, but now it’s gotten too long in the teeth. I strongly suspect the majority of the voices are AI, or at the very least, so poorly directed it’s become indistinguishable. The storylines… I would not be surprised if they’re either completely AI generated, or AI majority written. They’re repetitive and boring, every entity or spacial anomaly and the redwood bureau itself is The Scariest Worst Most Horrible Terrible Bad Evilest Ever — this is basically every other sentence. It’s as if you’re feeding the AI each AI written episode, further homogenizing the content until it’s the same gruel.

K-Bonk00Could be betterJust kinda seems like the voice actors can’t do anything but read off a paper. It’s also pretty obvious when there’s a mistake made and they splice it out, making the next word of a sentence come off really weird. Not to mention that the beginning and end of every podcast, the narrator uses the same lingo saying things like “the most diabolical experiment”. Every experiment or event talked about is seemingly “the most” whatever. Also I know I’m not the writer here but maybe you guys can dial it back on the “it felt like someone was watching me”. It’s quite literally in every episode and it’s really played out. The stories are definitely interesting but at a point it’s basically the same set up and delivery everytime. There isn’t much room for mystery or anticipation.
-
DrakaenValorGood, but where did the monsters go?Don’t get me wrong, you have a good podcast, but the last at least five episodes have been about anomalous locations or existential planes. Can you start making monsters again? I don’t mean everything has to be a horror monster, but I really loved some of the old episodes where there was one specific horrifying creature hunting things down. Without that, I’ve kind of begun skipping over episodes.

guest_40915Reminds me of…Reminds me of the SCP Foundation and the SCP Foundation Database show on this app
-
Moiriss8Love itI use to love this but since they changed the voice it’s annoying and sometimes hard to understand
-
One_Lonely_WeebLove it but…In the AWAKENING PROTOCOL episode, right at the end there is misinformation about what a bone saw can cut into. A bone saw does not rotate all the way around, only side to side (kind of like an electric toothbrush) and that causes the bone saw to only be able to cut through bone and other solid objects that are not easily moveable, like skin. In the end of the episode, there is the sound of flesh being torn apart/ cut by the bone saw that Alice had mentioned before the episode ended. Just wanted to point this out for future reference so there isn’t misinformation in the future. Thx for reading this- Skye

zzxx14It used to be so much betterI used to be obsessed with this podcast, the stories were good and the creatures and stuff are really unique. I don’t mind that it’s just basically a different version of SCPs, it’s just a cool story. But I can’t deal with the voice anymore. The monotone sound of the voices 9/10 times is just too boring. It literally makes me feel like I’m going to fall asleep. The earlier episodes had good tone and personality to the voices but now it almost sounds like AI. I also feel like some of the stories are almost repeated? It’s the same characters told over and over with slight changes. I’ll keep listening in hopes that it’ll change but idk the quality of the episodes has just definitely gone down!

baddpersonHow the mighty fallThis podcast was my favorite thing to listen to, really. It has unique creatures and stories, not to mention the incredible voice actors and effects, but recently it has been getting less, cool. The concepts are cool, but the way they are being delivered recently sounds like AI and is getting less fun to listen to. They have zero emotion in their voice. If you're new I say go and listen to the old ones, then just stop. They changed after MORRTUS, so at AMBROSIOUS, just stop. The new ones have amazing concepts, but extremely poor delivery. Which is why I have stopped listening. Please fix your podcast.

Maveric2333Great!I love this podcast! Too notch narration and storyline. I only wish there were more to listen to

S13679:)Speed ran the series in a day no regrets.(The show was a 5 star): I love the concept of the redwood bureau they’re similar to the SCP foundation but far less humane. The thing that really sells this podcast to me has got to be the delivery of the stories the build up is fantastic and the tension is palpable. I highly recommend giving this podcast to listen if you’re a fan of the SCP foundation or if you just a really like a good horror story. Edit: I feel like I needed to change my review because initially the stories were being told by an incredible voice actor, who put a lot of emotion into the characters and stories, but it seems that recently they’ve been using lower and lower quality voice actors and it really takes away from the stories. I’ve found the ladder episodes to be rather boring with their deadpan delivery of the stories. Edit #2 The show feels AI generated at this point.

onefortheGloryofTheMoringBad writingOkay so I used to enjoy this show, story lines are decent but the writing, god the writing. I think a high school dropout might do better than this and as a writer for another fiction podcast I feel that if anyone is going to criticize writing it might as well be me. Poor grammar and word choice along with all typical cheesy suspense. If you’re a avid writer and are reading the reviews do your self a favor and skip this show. I’m not one to leave a negative review but they have lost a listener over the quality of the writing.

randy_spacemanKeeps getting betterFrom listening from episode one all the way to the most recent one, its been great all around. some episodes are better than others depending on your preference, but you can get lost in & vision each episode definitely keeps you wanting more would highly recommend

krucker07/09/2013Original episodes were betterThe show was really great originally, but starting at Ambrosius the intro changed, and fro then on the experience just went downhill from there. I see they have made an effort to bring back the old , but the combination is even worse. Just go back to the old intro please. Otherwise, great podcast. Trickster kept me up at night.

Billy bob james the 3rdMehStorylines are original, but has anyone realized that they are completely copying the SCP foundation
-
FirecolAwesomeThis podcast is incredible with the way it describes the phenomenons and the redwood bureaus corrupted view of what’s right. Though I do have one problem which is one of the episodes disappeared for me that one being the episode about the dagger and I don’t know if it happened to anyone else or what but I can’t find it.

Chxhvuzdxydt CNN ibtfuhAmazingThis is by far, the best podcast I have ever listen to. The way they added gore into and you didn’t even see it make imagine it yourself. The horror is absolutely insane, it is like listening to a well made horror movie instead of watching it. Love it

coyoteTaleNeeds ImprovementI don’t think there’s a point to leaving a negative review if it doesn’t come with actionable critique, but if I’m going to rate this lowly I want to have an explanation. If you the creator read your reviews, my intention is not to be upsetting. None of what I’m saying is to insult you, just to offer suggestions at improvement Put down the thesaurus. When you’re writing first person accounts, they need to sound the way real people speak. Nobody uses words like “palpitations” when describing their trauma Vary your speaking tone. An acting tip I’ve heard is to double space your script and then write down how the character feels above each line. Right now, there’s no vocal variation, it’s all the same informative/scared. Slowly add tension to your voice, and the audience will feel it Tone down background sound effects. Not every action needs a stock footage sound accompanying it. The random screams and scare chords feel like a good example of telling, instead of showing. Your audience shouldn’t need a scream to tell them that something you just said was scary, they should already be feeling it. Also, a lot of the background noise is a bit loud, consider reducing its volume Show, don’t tell. There’s a lot of spelling things out, which doesn’t work in most writing but especially not in horror Good horror is in the relatability. When you’re writing horror in the first person, make sure your protagonist has some aspect of themselves that ties them to the audience, some quality that’s more or less universal. Of the three episodes I’ve listened to (Hiders, Trickster, and Flesh Melding), all of them are from the POV of just some guy, with no real relatable traits, besides some stock tropes. It feels like a mannequin talking, and I’m not afraid of what happens to a mannequin The horror in the three episodes I’ve listened to ultimately comes from a fear of pain. Each episode describes something unstoppable that wants to hurt people. And there’s so much more to horror outside of that. Monsters don’t need to be creepy gory things, or spindly slender men, or razor demons to be scary. Death by claw can sometimes be a blessing when survival means dealing with your trauma. Graphic descriptions only go so far, what’s really scary is writing that puts the listener in the character’s shoes, that makes them feel like they’re there, that this could happen to them, that they’ve experienced things like this before. Just some things to consider when writing, maybe these are concepts explored in any of the episodes from 3-59, but I don’t think I’ll be listening further. Ultimately, the writing style feels a bit… desperate. A bit too much like a standup comic begging you to laugh. Trust in your writing, trust in your scenarios, and you won’t need to beg the audience to be scared along with you

Allegedly_BenTacked on podcasts? Why are there unrelated podcasts just pasted at the end of the one I’m listening to? Anyone else have this happen to them?
-
by torChillingly CompellingExcellent and immersive podcast A heady blend of horror, scifi with overtones of the X Files and the Twilight Zone
-
I ❤️ your workI love thisI hope I love your whole weapon stuff. I love the stories behind it. This is cool
-
Joey_SpFavorite PodcastI wish more episodes came out .. I’ve listened to all of the twice already 😅
-
MistersherlockholmesExcellent podcastIf you like SCP or the Magnus Archives you’ll love this podcast. The scariest episode to me so far was the one about the Hulk Funko pop being bigger than the rest of the avengers Funko pops 😥 But seriously, this is a great podcast. I’m guessing for a while, Tomar was the driving force behind the podcast and had his hand in a lot of the production and delivery of the podcast. As the podcast got more popular and progressed further into the story, it seems like more people are getting involved and it just isn’t quite as good anymore. If it was all Tomar all the time I would have given it 5 stars, but it just doesn’t have the same heart or quality now.
-
Righteous999LoveI cannot get enough of this podcast.
-
Avenged89Top 3 podcastsIf I could give this 10 stars I would. I’ll be honest I’m addicted to this podcast. I listen to every episode on the day and most of the time the hour it drops. I’ve got so many people listening to it at work. The only problem is I always want more episodes. Please keep the episodes coming and more frequently.

Wep1985I love this podcast!I love Redwood Bureau so much because it’s like a mix between The X-Files and Fringe, it’s amazing and thanks a lot to Darkness prevails for creating this!😁
-
kaoer;jksgklffajhdfcjxioUHLove ThisI used to listen to true crime podcasts, however I had to stop because of the anxiety it caused me. I missed the dopamine rush that true crime had given me, and Redwood Bureau was a great substitute.
-
asianone13LOVE THIS PODCASTMy new favorite !! I’ve binged the whole thing! Can’t wait for more Edit 2023: still thoroughly enjoy this podcast!!
-
MrDerrangedBetterScott foundation but it isn’t just a poor excuse to make overpowered characters
-
dark radierLove the showIt’s like the scp foundation but more immersive and I love the variety of the phenomenon. Keep up the good work I also recommend other ericast podcasts

Sasquatch Chronicles godGod speed brothers/sistersYou like Scott you will love this ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
-
hi and goodbye felciaAmazingAt first I thought it was an scp rip off but it’s TOTALLY different. The twists they have on this common horror trope(mostly seen in podcasts) makes it totally worth the watch. Just the sound design and acting makes you visualize it, making it even more scary. One of the best podcasts 10/10
-
WardfxGood when more original ideasI’ve listened to almost all episodes and really enjoyed it. I tend to like the paranormal incident or item investigation agency genre and this is good, Stagis, Rat KING, Godshed and Lazarus taxon being some of my favorite. A couple episodes like void song, hunger, pigpen and tunnel and others unfortunately mimic too much basic creepy pasta horror stuff and I think more unique ideas are this stories strength. I really like the fleshjacket vs myriad episode and would enjoy more one off events like that that break the standard formula. Also maybe some more episodes now about the bureau itself or agent framed around something would be good since the idea and trope structures are established
-
Frank529GreatI found this podcast and binged it until I finished it 3 days later. Keep them coming please.
-
Albi2118It is okAs I work overnight I try to find podcasts that will keep me entertained I never really cared about the violence towards humans or animals, but I feel that the episodes are starting to get less and less entertaining. I want to keep giving it a chance but as of recently all the episodes starting 2023 have been mediocre at best. I would recommend everything from 2022 and before especially the first episodes.
-
Silver wolffeThis is goodI have been making my own stories on Reddit. The stories here are somewhat similar to mine. I have only seen this recently, so this is fascinating to see how people can have the same ideas that I have AND do it better. I only listened to one episode and I am making this claim. This is almost paranormal of how good this is.

cat90xxAwesomeEntity buddy’s case was reported on the same exact date I was born. That’s freaky
-
bippy loverdagger is great, buddy is 😰dagger is great, but buddy is terrifying for me because I have a greyhound myself.
-
a1e tt eBinge worthyMy favorite episode is STRAYS and Dagger comes in second ( warning: there is animal cruelty included) !! Update to add : Can we PLEASE get Josh Tomar back ‼️⁉️
-
Mulgan_the_bullNot excited about the changes but still goodI waited to write this review because I wanted to see where it was going. The majority of the episodes were fantastic. However what really hooked me in was the distorted deep cover voice of the agent in the beginning and surrounding the stories. It made it feel more immersive to me that it was actually an agent on the run and was leaving these recording in dead drops for people. But as time has gone on they have changed it around more and more. Stories are still good but just the Agent sections aren’t as enthralling for me
-
Nemesis216Still very good, but…This podcast needs Joshua Tomar to voice more episodes again. His episodes were always the best. When will he do more episodes? Please bring Tomar back. Plus, Dagger is so bad.
-
JustAnotherOneDudeGreat PodcastI agree with the last guy, dagger is bad and buddy is really freaky. Neither are really scary but Buddy is a really creepy idea and dagger just makes me sad. My favorite episode is Godshed btw. Overall great podcast and one of my top three.

AmericanBoy660Great PodcastThis Is Something that is so good with the “real life” sounds. Some mild Horror but still rated as a good horror. Just something wrong the Other Tunnel episode it was kind of hard to hear and a little bit boring the intro also sounded weird. But the rest of the episodes were amazing.
