    Thankful!
Thankful to have access to these even though I currently live outside of the US. Lots of wisdom and thoughtfulness. Please keep sharing so the rest of the world can continue to benefit. Sending metta to Seattle.

    So helpful.
This has been a boon to me as a new father. I am unable to leave the house to go to the wonderful dharma talks around MN so hearing these from WA is the next best thing! Very good people out West and maybe someday I'll be able to see the center. Working on being a Buddha and this podcast helps.

Absolutely the BEST talk I've heard on Buddhism.
Rodney Smith's talk--particularly the "Fourth foundation" is amazing and beautiful and eye opening. He breaks it all down without pretense & ends it so very beautifully that one feels there is nothing more important that following the spiritual path he sets before you.

    A national treasure
These podcasts are a part of a growing library of Dharma talk recordings that are the single most valuable spoken-word recordings I have ever heard. (The full set is available at seattleinsight.org, including a six-class beginning meditation series.) Of course, I'm a biased reviewer--these talks happen to speak to my heart and to motivate my daily practice: they may not speak to yours. The guiding teacher, Rodney Smith, was a Buddhist monk and then a hospice social worker before becoming a full-time dana-supported Dharma teacher. He is committed to extending the authentic practice of Buddhism beyond the monasteries and into everyday life--what he terms 'Urban Buddhism.' His style is direct, sincere, impassioned and so entirely without style or artifice or adornment that when I first heard him speak at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, I dismissed him in my mind. Then I noticed that his talks moved my practice and my life in ways that the fancier stuff did not. Maybe it'll be that way for you, too.
