I really enjoy hearing these folks talking about the beautiful game- great for news, analysis, tactics, and occasional hot takes from fun and relatable personalities. A couple friendly suggestions: I know others care about MLS. I don’t, but that’s fine. Maybe consider devoting a segment to lower league soccer in the US and elsewhere. It wouldn’t need to be every week… maybe monthly. I know that the hosts support teams that are not 1st division. You could have a lot of fun spotlighting stories that happen outside the top tiers. I know that’s not the overall focus, but occasionally covering local teams and local support might help listeners connect with teams in their own backyard. Oh, and my other suggestion- set a time limit for discussions about Man U. Or maybe take the lengthy Man U discussions to a different pod or the Patreon?

    Solid podcast
Good podcast. They cover many tactics across the MLS and EPL. The only criticism I have is that it sometimes lacks a “hook” or good engagement in the beginning, but later finds its way into the setup for an interesting and entertaining episode. Go FCC and Arsenal!

    Great but less politics
I love the podcast it is just annoying that the ads are 10% of the podcast.also the little political remarks are annoying and they aren’t necessary for the podcast. If you cut the ads and made it only football related you would have a perfect podcast.

    Soccer is fun
This podcast brings joy and insight to the beautiful game.

    Love the “other 14” coverage
They do a great job covering the massive extensive world of soccer. Sooooo happy they started the other 14 coverage special. There are so many pods saying the same thing about Manchester city and Arsenal. Who needs that? Covering the other teams is so nice and they do a great job.

Too many ads before any content
While I understand the need for advertising dollars, having 4 minutes of them BEFORE the episode starts is excessive.

    Leagues Cup
how do you talk so much about the Leagues Cup Tournament and attendance without mentioning and going into the boycott due to the treatment of the Open Cup?

    Ads<
Just wondering if you think you have enough ads? The first 5 minutes is ads you literally don’t start speaking until 5 minutes in.. imagine sitting watching a show and having 5 straight minutes of commercials but then not even that bc they have visuals.. literally tuned out and done before it starts and you have more throughout the show wow. British people feeling the need to rhyme every single intro is absolutely insane… you all sound like children coming up with an intro.. low iq move instead of actually coming up with a introduction.. good for you have fun in elementary school this week child

    Excellent content
I really appreciate the breadth of perspectives given by TSS along with their much more thorough tactical analysis than is given in the typical American soccer shows that go exclusively for personalities and soccer bros rather giving any sort of intelligent commentary.

great insights on soccer around the world! Please change the outtro song tho. It’s so bad lol

    DC United Review
Any chance you could do a similar review for DC United that you just did for the Chicago Fire? I feel like DC's ownership needs to be called out as well.

Defending Bullies is not Becoming of TSS
I was disappointed in the response to the question about Emma Hayes on the 10 April 2024 episode. You defended the actions of a bully through your prevarication in your responses. Emma Hayes not only pushed/shoved Eidevall, she also attempted to impugn his character with the label of “male agression”. She also refused to apologize. If Eidevall had done the same to Hayes he would rightly be fired for such a reprehensible act. As to whether this would affect the USWNT, maybe not. But what it will affect is the fans. I do not want to cheer on bullies - wherever they may be. You can cheer her on with the USWNT, but I should expect you to condemn future behaviour when it inevitably happens in the future. You should be better and much less equivocal in your responses. I am disappointed.

If You Want to Know About Soccer
If you want to know about soccer and what is happening in both the United States and Europe, then you definitely want to listen to the Total Soccer Show. It’s hosts are great and give you the feel of having a discussion with friends about the weekend’s games then this is a podcast for you. I had not followed soccer for a while and TSS helped me get back into the sport. On top of that, TSS is just a fun show.

    Great podcast!
Great podcast, love the topics they cover. Not the biggest deal, but feels like Taylor Rockwell tries to joke in every other sentence, and he’s not that funny… lol maybe it’s me, but it’s over done.

    Unique Conversational Questions
What a marvelous adjective question about a combined u.s. WNT and u.s. MNT team! And a nice discussion. Hadn’t even thought about the fact that the US team would be better with more women on it but that’s so true! It’s probably something I’ll think of for a while. A similar question would be to fill out an 11 person roster from the US WNT and US MNT, which would be the best person of both squad for each 11 positions? Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping your podcast Language clean.

    Highly recommended
A great community and podcast. Excellent discussions on the EPL, other top 4 leagues, Champions League, international football, USMNT, USWNT, MLS and NWSL. Topics will vary depending on what’s happening that week.

    Taylor’s 5-star Breakfast Burritos
In addition to hosting this delightful show, Taylor has another lesser known talent. He makes excellent breakfast burritos. Thank you for the delicious treats, Taylor. We’re grateful for the Rockwell family’s friendship and I couldn’t give a higher recommendation for the show (or the burritos). 5 stars all around. P.S. Go Saka!

    Absolutely Wonderful
Ryan, Joe, Taylor and Graham are all extremely funny and also very smart when it comes to analyzing soccer. Love their banter and this is a great podcast.

a thoughtful program with a touch of levity.
A thoughtful and analytical podcast, The Total Soccer Show brings four sharp perspectives to the table - and the program's easygoing cast makes you feel like you're at the table with them. TTSS offers solid analysis of leagues, teams, and players throughout Europe and the U.S. Their coverage includes breakdowns of their game of the week, the USMNT, and their customized Wikipedia game. But their coverage includes much, much more. What is special about this podcast is that you don't need to know these guys nor hail from Richmond to enjoy the show. Indeed, discovering this program, after searching for a quality soccer program, has been a pleasure. The TTSS model is one that I wish more shows would follow: knowledgeable cast, contrasting opinions, and thoughtful response. The Total Soccer Show is the only soccer podcast that I listen to regularly and in my humble opinion no other soccer show measures up to it.

    Soccer yes! Politics No!
They are fantastic covering soccer. They are very partisan when talking politics. If you lean left, you'll not notice it. If you're conservative, they will annoy at times with their surface-level treatment of politics. Two years ago I would have rated them a 5. Last year a 4. The longer they go the more they seem to be leaning into the political realm. The loss of Darryl has allowed Taylor to swerve hard left. If I hear them say “sportswashing” again, I’ll have to award them 200 Virtue Points! We get it, your racism is complete and any brown person can only provide money through nefarious means. Only white men can provide untainted money.

    Stick To Soccer
Don’t get into politics. You’ve lost a subscriber as your worldview outside of soccer isn’t desired by many. Knock it off.

    This one’s good
I started listening in November and this is a very entertaining podcast that covers soccer in the US and abroad. Ryan, Joe, Taylor, and Graham are so funny and Gauss for the MLS review episodes has also been great! Love it, this is my favorite soccer podcast out there!!

    Love this Podcast
I was looking for a good soccer podcast that updates me on what is going on. I think that this podcast does that for me, I like listening to these guys every time that a new podcast comes out. When people ask me for a good soccer podcast to fill them in on what is going on I tell them about this one and they thank me for introducing them to this one. Love this podcast so much!!

    Gambling Ads Killed This Pod
Unsubscribed because opening MGM ad is short but the call 800-xxx in this state or that state us way longer than the actual commercial. Statistically you will lose more than you ever win. Not a moralist but gambling ruins lives so I use my right to free speech by saying I won’t support or listen to a pod which takes gambling house money. Over and out.

    Top Tier!
Love this pod! They have some of the best US National Team coverage out there. When focusing on club sides they are one of the only groups that find a perfect balance between European competitions as well as MLS, each getting an equal amount of passionate discussion and serious consideration. Also these guys are just fun to listen to!
  • AlejandroKhan
    Pretty good
I like hearing the American perspective of European football. The MLS talk is mildly interesting if for no other reason than it’s amusing to hear people so passionate about a subpar league. I absolutely hate the term “piece” for players. It drives me insane and I have to get over it, but I won’t.

Long -erm TSS fan. Thumbs up thumbs down is great show.
Good entertainment. Love the Big Thing! Thank you for discussing my favorite team Chelsea who I have been following for 25 years since my English who grew up following them and turned me on to English football. the next big thing about Everton went to the dogs! LOL. Love these guys!

    Goats
Been listening since after the 2020 euros and have really enjoyed the analysis and banter. Would recommend if you’re looking for another podcast to listen to beyond the soccer talk this group has a great dynamic as well making it the first podcast I listen to when checking my feed.

    Tribute to Pelé was non-existent…
Come on guys!! I dig this podcast but they barley acknowledged the passing of Pele, let alone a tribute. Seriously, show some respect.
  • frescatastrophe
    Entertaining
Love the chemistry between the two hosts. I’ve been listening since the 2018 group stages and their pop-culture references add a new level of fun to the listening experience that already feels so genuine, like I’m listening to two guys that have been friends since grade school. Their tone and language is not intimidating at all for a slightly-more-than-casual football fan like myself, but I simultaneously feel like I’m learning a lot. —2022 edit Still funny, but could use more research.

    Top Tier Soccer Podcast
I’ve been listening to TSS for over a decade, and it still never ceases to entertain. Good banter between the hosts, and excellent tactical analysis that is missing from most soccer content.

    The One And Only TSS!
I love this podcast. It’s the only soccer related show I absolutely need in my feed. Top quality. Never stop, boys!

    Great podcast
Been listening into this pod for about a year or two now. Super entertaining and has definitely increased my soccer knowledge. However, it was Ryan’s discussion of my beloved South Carolina Gamecocks that had me cracking up. Well done Gentlemen. Keep up the excellent work.

    Best soccer podcast
Very entertaining podcast that single-handedly helped me get me into and understand soccer. The format of shows each week is great and covers just about everything in the world of soccer. The show offers both in depth analysis and more light hearted discussions that help simplify the sport. I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about politics but those people are losers, the hosts almost never talk politics.

A good podcast about the English Premier League
I’m not sure if it’s the existence of Allocation Disorder on the same feed, but the complete collapse of domestic soccer coverage (outside of occasional USMNT-focused shows) on this podcast has really killed my interest. It is basically a Premier League show with a passing interest in the USMNT. I’m still giving it a good star rating because the hosts do what they do well. But this podcast is just not for me anymore.

Love it. Such good soccer talk!
I started following women’s soccer because of my daughter’s success at the club level in the US as a goalkeeper. She’s just entered the college recruiting window, and it’s been really fun to watch the USWNT and NWSL together. During the recent Euros, I wanted to hear commentary on the matches and tried out a bunch of podcasts. This one is my favorite. The chemistry of the four hosts is incredible and each one is uniquely funny and knowledgeable. Now, with their most recent pod, I can feel them slowly pulling me into men’s EPL. What is happening!? Where are we going!?! As soccer / football begin to completely take over my sports fandom, it’s nice to know I have these fellas along for the ride.

    Awesome show
Thanks to the guys for always breaking down the weeks biggest games and headlines. Reviews are important so I wanted to put my two cents in!

    Soccer only please
If you want to dive into politics and Supreme Court decisions, start your own political podcast. Had to skip the first few minutes of the last episode.

    Politics Killed It
I was a loyal listener until politics started coming into the show. The final straw was the pontificating about abortion and the Dobbs decision. I’ve unsubscribed now. I come to sports to get away from politics and division—not to hear the hosts talk politics.

    Show description
Maybe it’s about time to review the show description? Either that or give actual US-centric shows their own fee and stop acting like it’s all the same thing anymore. I’m not saying “Totally European Soccer Show” but it’s pretty much there except the acknowledgment that certain players are American. Still the best soccer podcast originating from the greater Richmond area. Sincerely, Buffalo Mike

    Best Soccer Pod Around
If you love soccer or even just merely interested, the Total Soccer Show is the podcast to subscribe to! Taylor, Ryan, Graham, and Joe take genuine school boy enthusiasm and love for the game and partner it with bold predictions, technical reviews, and fun banter! The simple grassroots nature of the show is refreshing and requires little soccer knowledge to enjoy. Whether your a lifelong fan of the game or one of the thousands of new fans of the Beautiful Game, you will learn and love this podcast! Check them out and thank me later!

Sad they support state sponsored success
I usually like to listen but on the last episode they thought it was “funny” The top players go for the money to terrorist state sponsored sports washing clubs. Plus accusing Real Madrid of financial mismanagement which is completely false, they cut costs and stayed within their means through the pandemic. It’s lazy journalism to lump them the Barcelona disaster just because they are so in the same league. Maybe they were off there game with out The crew there.
  • Jhsherman
    stick to sports!
or at least expect scathing reviews if you don’t and your political views aren’t shared. the hegemonic woke, imperial capitalistic narrative espoused isn’t progressive, it leads to obvious sectarianism and news ways to legitimate intervention/regime change. your politics are a joke and you’re all pawns for the ruling class. aside from that, i disagree with a lot of your usmnt takes and player evaluations and think everyone but joe comes off as narcissistic and obnoxious and a totally parasitic MLS propagandist. lowery is a MAGGOT.
  • 1973storm2000
    No Soccer
Do they ever actually talk about soccer. Nine plus minutes in and nothing but mindless blabbering.
