Stone Choir

Two Lutheran (LCMS) men bring a theological lens to the world, and relate the state of the world back to theology. Topics are timely, challenging, and fearless. We’ll probably make you nervous, sometimes make you angry, but never leave you bored. We are the stones who cry out.

Woke podcast pretending to be anti-woke
Shallow thought, antithetical to the plain teaching of Christ and Scripture. Sounds hurst like listening to Woke Marxists, just with a different class of heresy.

    Necessary for Christians
A friend of mine referred me to the Big Lie episode a few months ago, and I’ve been an avid listener of the Stone Choir ever since. I had mistakenly assumed that I already reached the cutting edge in recovering lost Christian doctrine, but this show opened my eyes in essential ways pertaining to the Biblical standards of nation, gender, economics, and so much more. I strongly recommend this podcast to any Christian.

    Excellent show
Corey and Woe are incredibly intelligent and God fearing men. They shed light on things that many pastors are afraid to touch in scripture. Worth listening to if one desires to grow his faith.

    Critical and straightforward Christian podcast
Corey and Woe are our guys. They are well researched, thoughtful, and speak with gravitas; something that is lost on this generation of Christian thought leaders.

    Saved me from apostasy
For all of my life up until listening to Stone Choir, I have felt that Christianity is far too soft and squishy. These men helped me to reinterpret God‘s word through its clear and original intent, unencumbered by modern (im)morality. I was on the edge of apostasy; watching so many “Christians” worship the New Global Religion while wearing Christianity as a skinsuit my whole life had taken its toll on me. I began to see Christianity as what the enemies of Christ claim it was, as opposed to what it actually *is*. Corey and Woe helped me pierce through this fog, and made clear where moderns were going wrong, and how to properly walk the Narrow Path. God bless these men, and protect them against the calumny that so many others have raised against them.

    Dispensationalism
I wanted to listen because of the topic. I’m trying to understand how other parts of the church view eschatology and the Jews as well as how they interpret the Bible. It perplexes me how simple words cannot just be understood in the way they were written and why we must spiritualize them and say they mean something different from what they read. As often happens on podcasts like this it seems as though dispensationalism at best was terribly misrepresented. For example, the passage chosen to refute the rapture was clearly a 2nd coming passage. It does not refute the rapture. It has nothing to do with the rapture. As far as dispensationalism being a newer concept we can debate and argue that but the point is moot. Who cares. Why is it an argument? Luther recovered salvation by faith. Was he told it was a new thing and therefore it couldn’t be trusted? I don’t want to say that these gentlemen purposely tried to misrepresent dispensationalism but again they did a horrible job representing it. Dispensationalism simply adheres to reading the words in the Bible as they would normally be understood. Allegory is allegory. But if a sentence say I went to the store don’t reinterpret it to mean you washed your laundry.

Not the place to learn scripture
When a Bible teacher keeps citing the “original Greek” of the Old Testament, you are not dealing with a Bible teacher. Ryan and Corey like to boast of their intellect, but their scripture knowledge is lacking.

Gotta listen if you are a true Christian
This podcast provides in depth understanding of subjects that have been recently perverted in our western society. It will ground you in base principles that will enrich your soul. God bless your journey to find truth in the scripture.

    Only Christian Podcast that matters
I find most podcasts dull and not worth my time. I have been listening to several episodes a week for months now catching up on the back catalogue. If you’re a Christian man you owe it to yourself and your family to listen.

    Diligent Brothers
Woe and Corey exercise diligence, patience, and humility in their presentation of these topics. This podcast is an excellent driving companion to help keep me thinking and focused on God’s word and the plain truths laid out in scripture. Today is Thanksgiving and I wish to express my thanks that this production exists!

    Soli Deo Gloria
God used these men to draw me (and therefore my wife and children) (back) to Him. My/our transformation and thanksgiving can hardly be summarized. May He continue to use these men not least in order to highlight their wailing detractors.

    Bearing Fruit

This is my favorite podcast and I look forward to every episode. These men have impacted my life in a way that I’m incredibly grateful for. It’s brought my soul back to the Church and in turn I’m bringing as many people as I can along with me.

A convicting word in a time requiring convictions
Though called "Stone" Choir, this podcast is a breath of fresh air. A challenge to the accepted norms of the modern era, (and the accepted mediority of modern podcasting,) Stone Choir brings timely words and delivers them insightfully and with intellectual rigor. Hosts Corey and Woe examine many facets of the modern church and modern society, and show with well reasoned arguments how drastically what many believe today would be utterly unrecognizable to the great lumenaries of both the church and history. Stone Choir will challenge your preconcieved notions about the world and the Church, but all with the aim of drawing the listener closer to God's designs. Corey and Woe pull no punches and ruffle feathers; but with how stagnant our churches have become, and how poorly they speak out against the obvious evils evident in our world contrary to the plain Words of scripture, punches need thrown and feathers need ruffled (if not plucked). May God continue to bless the work of Stone Choir.

    Abhorrent Theology
Just a simple scroll through Corey Mahler’s tweets and it become apparent he is one to completely mark and avoid. Some of his recent tweets: “Hitler is in paradise.” “Interracial marriage is tantamount to m*rder.” “Blacks are proof not of evolution, for no one else came from them, but of devolution.”

    Not for everyone
Good biblical reasoning without apologies when it rubs up against the modern way of thinking. Not for everyone in the sense that when they go deep into theology you really need to know the scripture and when they go into political ramifications you need to be able to think dispassionately. I know preachers who hum and haw about what the Bible teaches about slavery, men and women’s proper roles and sin… these guys will tell you what they read without prevarication or dissembling. I don’t always agree but I think they are quite sincere and logical

Antisemitism Interwoven with Faux Christian Justifications
Whatever Christianity these men may have is subordinated to their National Socialist ideology. These men are choosing to interpret scripture through their ideology rather than subjugating their worldview to scripture. That is more dangerous than an openly anti-Christian message, because here, truth and error are subtly mixed. A little sugar makes the bigotry go down, it seems. As an example, Mr. Mahler claims to be a Lutheran. However, in every episode he seems to imply that there are damnable consequences to disagreeing with him, even on non-theological matters. Since when did “Sola Fide” include rejecting the Holocaust as a historical event? These men are are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They confidently and knowingly lie to their audiences about Scripture and history. Their “evidence” does not stand up to scrutiny, and their omissions are glaring. Scripture says you cannot serve two masters. These individuals decidedly do not serve Christ. The worst part about this is neither of the hosts strike me as unintelligent. They are malevolent, not mistaken.

    Now More Than Ever
I’m not Lutheran, and you shouldn’t be either. But regardless what specific type of Christian you are, Stone Choir addressed important issues that all Christians need to be thinking about. If you are a Lutheran, Stone Choir is mandatory. There are some Lutheran specific episodes that non-Lutheran’s won’t get much out of. However, most episodes apply to all Christians. I don’t always agree with the Stone Choir men, but I always love every episode. Thank you gentlemen for your great show!

    Great show
Listening to Corey & Woe has reintroduced me to God his word. From what I’ve seen, the people that hate Stone Choir are the same people that believe it’s alright to have a Woman Pastor.

Tracing the Roots of Modern Ideas
Stone Choir is more than a podcast; it's a library that I repeatedly reference when discussing with fellow Christians the genesis of modern ideologies versus the unchanging Word of God. Always engaging, often mind-shifting, and sometimes deeply convicting, the episodes are well packed with no unnecessary fluff. I give these faithful Lutheran gentlemen my full recommendation, and I encourage every serious Christian to hear the entire Stone Choir library to strengthen their resolve to honor God's Word against a world that despises any verse that violates the Zeitgeist. Where many modern Christians have compromised to win the world's approval, Stone Choir is resolved to unashamedly honor the historic Christian faith. Conservative Christians of many denominations will appreciate the podcast for this reason. My favorite episode is "According to Their Generations." That early episode introduces a central theme of the series, which is about tracing the genealogy of ideas from a Christian perspective. Start there, and listen to the whole catalog. If you love Jesus and hate compromising with the world, then I think you will greatly appreciate their efforts. May God continue to bless the work and the reach of the Stone Choir ministry for years to come, and turn the hearts of modern Christians back to honor their forefathers in the faith. PS - The first Stone Choir episode I heard was on Dietrich Bonhoeffer. It was admittedly difficult to take, but many Christians who only know of Bonhoeffer's most popular early works are unaware of the man's "neo-orthodox" theology that denies central truths of the Christian faith. There's a reason why Bonhoeffer is celebrated among left-wing "Christians" – namely, because he is not Christian, but is a saint of the liberal Zeitgeist. Beware when the world praises you. I highly recommend that episode, which covers much of Bonhoeffer's later, very unchristian ideas.

    Smashing Today’s Idols
They are doing what the shepherds have failed to do- Fighting the actual wolves at the gate instead of useless platitudes. Very much needed and useful podcast for Christians fighting the culture war in the trenches.

    The podcast on Bonhoeffer
I am reading Dietrich Bonhoeffer‘s the Cost of Discipleship. their podcast describes him as totally opposite of what I am reading. Also, there was no direct commentary, using the massive writings of Bonhoeffer only repeated claims against him that made no sense. Do your due diligence.

Revisionist History & Racism - Devoid of Jesus
In the episode entitled "Christian Nationalism is Submissiin to God", I'll simply leave you with this quote from this podcast in regard to how slavery took place in the U.S... "the Africans who were enslaved by other Africans. Sold to Jewish slave traders, put on Jewish-owned slave ships and brought to primarily Southern colonies where they were sold almost exclusively to Jewish plantation owners where they were kept as slaves and used as labor." Drivel. Revisionist history. Anti-Semetic. Racist.

Favorite episode series was on race, soteriology, and christian nationalism. Excellent work. May God bless these men and open people’s ears. If you are new or interested, have patience. What you hear may be hard to hear, but you won’t find that they are wrong.
