teachtolearn1An important and beautifully written storyEngaging, emotional, powerful. I laughed, gasped out loud, and cried as I listened. A timely story and I am glad it is finally being told.

MarialucgomInspiredInspirational, moving and beautiful—to hear the voices of those that knew, always, that they were worthy and fought to demonstrate the power of I AM FREE! Thank you, 💔🕊️💙

Mulberry083An excellent history of JPL with one flawOverall an excellent history of the start of JPL. One comment - the current political bias should have been excluded. Perhaps MG might want to go back and edit her comments about Russian collusion in light of new information.

Nathan_K89So fun learning more about my favorite dollSo glad I came across this podcast! I had read Forever Barbie a couple of years ago being a Barbie fan myself! Loved that book, getting to hear those tapes from M.G. Lords archives was such a treat! Thank you for creating such a fun podcast to listen to while working or doing daily life!
-
Shibuya😭😭Barbie Tapes are 10/10 would 100% recommendI could have listened to so many more episodes; it’s such a well put together production! Ruth is such an icon i especially enjoyed the bits about her life and how hard she fought for Barbie.
-
Elsie HeidemannI love this podcast! This is the first podcast series I have ever listened to and it’s awsome!
-
Mod LebowskiFascinating take on Barbie’s historyThis is great if you’ve seen the movie, but it certainly stands on its own as a great story. Very interesting use of archival recordings with the creators of Barbie over the years.
-
ChaeckBarbie tapes is delightfulAntonia and MG are such fun co-hosts and have a great dynamic, I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes to drop!

Tulips21Disrespectful HostI am having trouble finishing all episodes. Lord is so disrespectful towards communists and the OTO. What is wrong with other ideologies and religions? She obviously has read too many biased stories about the OTO. She acts like being a rocket scientist is the end all be all, the janitors of the building have just as an important job! Such biased reporting it’s very hard to listen to. I really wanted to hear this history but it’s not history it’s opinion. unfollowing!

Ann14896Interesting subject, questionable commentaryWhile the content of the podcast is great and the stories of each of the scientists, as well as the historic context surrounding them, are interesting and important, the incessant tongue-in-cheek commentary of the host is irritating at best and occasionally infuriating.
-
IBC LAI love MG Lord’s voice! And the podcast of course.
-
DanteMac26Not worth the timeI stopped following this on the fourth episode. It was a fairly decent show up for the first three, but the host really threw her objectivity out the window on the fourth. The vitriol was quite shocking actually.

ThisIntoThatFar too many commercialsThe material is terrific but the number of interruptions is far beyond my expectations for contemporary podcasts. I know ya gotta eat, but really….
-
food is funI’m hooked!Oh, Wow. This has it all. Tight writing, good voice work by MG Lord, great production values, lots of intrigue (the “suicide squad”?), historical importance, and even the hint of some very strong characters. I'm hooked!

Only crazies in the buildingRockets and SatanistsWhat a fascinating and important subject and a highly entertaining podcast. The host, MG Lord, author of a funny and insightful memoir and history about aerospace in SoCal, Astro Turf brings her droll appreciation for visionary outsiders to this story — which is everything but a simple celebration of rocket science. After this first episode, about a certain odd team of men who blow things up, we can’t wait for the story of Satanists who performed acts of Sex Magic. The twist: they are the same people. Even having read the memoir, I can’t wait for more!
-
Sabrina Z CalderónCan’t wait for the next episode!I loved it! MG Lord is an excellent host. Her unique voice makes it thrilling and exciting! Not to mention her extensive knowledge of the subject. Gave me the impression of a 1950’s sci-fi radio show.
-
riacouzLove The Subject, Needs a different NarratorI love this story but I have a difficult time staying involved because of Lord’s voice (which grates on me after a few minutes).
