    A feel-good show
I mainly listen to this show for the dulcet tones and pleasantness of Bill Nyget.
  • SunTrustLover
I will give this show 5 stars if Bill Nigut is removed
Far too much focus on national cultural issues. I used to listen religiously for Greg & Patricia’s casual podcast with insider-y takes. Bill strikes me as a smug, out-off-touch left wing boomer who in tone or explicitly editorializes the credibility out of what used to be a trustworthy show.

A radio show I eagerly anticipate
I look forward to 10 am everyday, when it’s time for Politically GA. However, sometimes life gets in the way and I miss part or even all of the broadcast. Sometimes, I just want to consider again what I’ve heard. This, I am so grateful that the show becomes available as a podcast for whenever I chose to listen!

    Knowledgeable, Fair, Good-natured
I appreciate all the hosts, their different styles, and different areas of political expertise. This is one of the few media venues where you can hear views from across Georgia’s political spectrum, moderated in a respectful way. (Though they don’t often have people on from the far right MAGA set, nor the more extreme left.)

    Solid interviews
They treat the interviewees fairly. One point to call out is the use of Harris’ first name when that’s not done for Trump. That includes the guests. Please be equal and respectful to the candidates names.

Nigut is square peg in round hole
If the AJC editors are reading this, please, please give Bill Nigut his own show and get him off of this one. It’s just not a good fit. Let Patricia and Greg and Tia do their own thing. Let Bill sink or swim on his own.

    No more Nigut
Greg, Patricia, and Tia are great. But Bill Nigut must go.

    Kinda miss the old podcast
I have been a longtime listener of this podcast for several years now. I am a subscriber to the AJC and have called in several times over the years. I can’t say that I am thrilled with the new format. I’m very happy that there are now episodes every day, and I’m happy that they are on the radio now, but it just isn’t the same. I have lived in Georgia for my entire life, and although I am a younger millennial, I am well aware that Bill Nigut is a hugely important figure in Georgia political reporting. He just doesn’t do it for me, though. He is constantly interrupting guests, and more importantly, he is constantly interrupting his cohost Tia and either finishing her thoughts with his own words or sometimes even changing the subject entirely. Tia has always been the high point of this podcast for me so it really bothers me to experience this. I appreciate the insights I get from this podcast and I feel like a more informed Georgian because of it, but it could use a little more of the grit it had back when it was just Greg and Patricia broadcasting from their cars.

    Unbiased - not so much
Informative and interesting podcast that unfortunately has a decidedly progressive bias. This bias bleeds through in almost all of their reports with some commentators doing better than others to hide what appear to be their true feelings. I listen because there are no other channels available to me where local issues of political importance are regularly discussed. They could do better but it doesn't seem like this is a priority of the panelists. Here I am several months later and the bias and left leaning is becoming more prominent in the way questions are posed and even in the apparent glee whenever there is a point made supporting progressive talking points. You can do better - you choose not to

Wish it would go back to the way it was
I wanted to like the new format, but Bill Nigut is still interrupting and talking over guests to give his own very liberal opinion. The AJC had such a good thing going, but replacing Greg and Patricia with Nigut as host most days is unbearable. Unfollowing.

Really sad about the host changes
I have been an enormous fan of this show since it started and it’s taken a nosedive since Bill Nigut joined. Please please bring the old way back! Bill’s approach has entirely changed the tone and credibility of the show, both for the worse. Bill brings in a biased, and judgemental opinion that contributes to the heavy partisanship and division we see on too much of the media today. He also tends to be the least informed among the hosts, which contributes to the sense that he’s sharing liberal pontification, rather than news. And he hosts the majority of the time. Very disappointing and sad to see what was some excellent local journalism be drowned out by a much more biased voice. Please give Greg and Patricia their show back so they can keep crushing it with Tia. I used to rely on Politically Georgia for a much more balanced view and actual new information in every episode. That’s just not happening with this high frequency of episodes and so much air time for Bill. Goal here is not to get this guy fired. Maybe give him his own show? Just let the old Politically Georgia come back. I’d love to come back and increase this rating after seeing changes. Thank you.

    Not getting better
This used to be pretty good, although left leaning, with Greg and Patricia, but since Bill Nigut joined it’s just left-wing hackery. He is why people don’t trust the media. I respect people with opposing viewpoints as long as they represent them honestly, but Bill brings all the extreme left talking points without honestly addressing legitimate opposing viewpoints. To him, “disagreeing better” means not disagreeing, so he mocks any viewpoint that he doesn’t agree with. His minimization of college campus demonstrations is pathetic. He doesn’t understand how Geoff Duncan can support Biden AND a conservative House/Senate to offset. I can explain that to him. If you want a fair, honest and respectful balance on this show, you should have me join you for a few episodes.

    What a show
I learn so much from Greg and the gang every day!

    Best show ever
Greg Bluestein is a political guru!

    Just the news please
Tia Mitchell is the standout on this podcast. She delivers content as a journalist—doesn’t flavor it with her opinion. Patricia Murphy is great too. I fast forward through Bill Nigut’s commentary because it’s always his opinion. Reign it in Bill! Also bored with Greg’s constant patter about his personal life. Just the news please.
  • accidentalcio
    Basically, an MSNBC politics show
Before Bill Nigut joined, this podcast was fairly balanced. The addition of Nigut has turned the podcast decidedly to the left. As unofficial emcee Nigut constantly asks loaded questions and presents slanted views of known to take the conversation decidedly left. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the AJC needs to be honest what this show is - a politics conversation largely by progressives for a progressive audience.

    New format - love it!
Love the new format with Bill summarizing and moderating! Hope it continues!

    Politically Georgia
Wonderful dialog on current and future issues facing Georgians. The panelists are very adept on focusing on the critical points of each issue. Listening to the program each day is uplifting.

This podcast is in my gratitude journal.
I was so distressed when Political Rewind went off the air—it had helped me survive the pandemic and a previous President! Thank goodness AJC has brought us this. The respectful, balanced discussions among well-informed people with differing perspectives gives me hope. It reminds me that people I disagree with also have sincerely held views and aren’t monsters. All the brilliant hosts have engaging personalities, each adding their own sparkle and humor at times.

    So happy!
I have missed political rewind so much. Was super happy to hear of this podcast!

    Once amazing
Every Thursday I made it my duty to listen to Patricia and Greg. I’m shocked over the change and why… sadly I believe I’ll be unfollowing the show. One too many sardines in the can.

    This Was A Good Podcast
For about one hour per week in three episodes, Greg and Patricia delivered a great summary of the week in Washington and politics. It contained little to none of their opinion, just a quick overview. This is why I listen to podcasts and dropped terrestrial radio about ten years ago. Now the new format is full of fluff and advertising. It seems to be a pathway to promote the radio show. I will never listen to that! I have enjoyed listening to Tia, she has been a good addition. Bill Nigut has been just the opposite! Here’s a few examples: 1. He constantly talks over and cuts off his colleagues and guests. 2. He regularly has to be corrected for inaccurate statements by his colleagues and guests. 3. He regularly cuts off guests he is interviewing to add his own opinion. I don’t expect to listen to many more episodes. The AJC had a really good podcast and someone totally screwed it up!

    Welcome back professors!!!
I am delighted with the return of Political Rewind under the new name of Politically Georgia under the auspices of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The podcast has helped me keep up on Georgia and national current events, to understand the relation between the 2 and individuals who helped shape history. I appreciate you all.

    Now Ordinary
Once great locally-focused podcast is now mostly a rehash of the national shows that do that better. With the shift to daily, there was no additional content, just 3 hours of bloat. Bill Nigut is also terrible chemistry. Instead of facilitating, he is interrupting and bloviating.
  • UnitedCampusWorkerofGA
By far the best podcast for GA state politics
We have enough national news outlets, media, and podcasts, but state and local politics are what make the biggest differences in our lives. Politically Georgia, like it’s predecessor Political Rewind, gets important information out to Georgians with expertise, analysis, and compassion. Bill Nigut has such a draw and makes you want to listen to the conversation. Bill, Tia, Patricia, and Greg all listen to each other and communicate so effectively. Makes my life better! Kudos to AJC and WABE for partnering to get this important information out to us 5 days a week.

It’s incredible! So glad it’s going daily — and on the radio. Perfect timing.

I’m so thankful to have this team covering Georgia and national news. They are truly awesome. Thank you for bringing Bill Nyegut back! Bravo!

    5 hr/week is too much
To pad the new format they have to cover federal politics as well. It became bloated and repetitive given other more incisive outlets that cover national politics as well. I subscribed to get distilled GA politics insights but now I have get through repetitive narratives I get elsewhere. I understand that the creators need reason for the increased staff to give everyone some room to shine. Unfortunately, my time is too limited so this podcast has to leave my feed.

Smart, informative and easy to listen
I wish this podcast was seven days a week. It’s smart, informative and hilarious. I am so glad I found this podcast. Great work! I love Greg!

    Amazing team
What an amazing team! I love the expanded format. And most of all I love the original reporting from Bluestein and Tia!

    Very engaging and fun
This podcast is on fire!! I loved the podcast with Patricia and Greg and listened to every episode. The new energy and structure with Bill Nigut takes this podcast to a whole new level. Bill’s historical and cultural knowledge make this fun, educational, compelling and “must see TV!” Thank you. Can’t wait til you join WABE.

    Georgia on my Mind!
Never miss this podcast to keep up with GA politics and the national implications. I listened to Patricia and Greg for a few years now and learned a lot along the way about how the local political sausage is ground and who the players are. UPDATE: Now new and improved with addition of Tia and Bill. Made me subscribe to the AJC again.

Glad to see Georgia’s Bill Night returning to the airwaves / podcast world.
This combination brings back balanced political discussions to the state.

    What you need to know
We are going to need to add more stars to the rating system. Thank you AJC and WABE for expanding this podcast and adding the great Bill Nigut and Tia Mitchell as co-hosts. This group has always fostered fair, balanced and civil discussions. Looking forwar to your fall lineup.

    My favorite podcast
I listen to more than 10 podcasts a week that cover news, politics, and all the things I need to know. This podcast is my favorite by far. Patricia and Greg are a dynamic duo who have a great rapport and a light touch even when they are covering very important and polarizing topics. I always learn something new and frequently laugh out loud because they have a wonderful sense of humor. Keep up the great work and don’t change a thing!

    Dems, Take Credit!
Senators Ossoff and Warnock, by all means create your own events to emphasize Dems’ role in making these new Georgia EV factories happen. Highlight the Dems’ role in bringing jobs to Georgia. Patricia Murphy and Greg, thank you for discussing the contributions of both political parties.

    Good Show: Relevant and Timely
I disagree with the commenter, regarding the banter. I like getting to know you guys as people. You’re doing a great service to GA and the body politic. Keep it up.

    THE Ga Political Podcast!
The best way to stay current on the political activity going on GA! Excited to listen every Wednesday and Friday! Even better when we get those special episodes… like getting a bonus! Greg and Patricia are great!

    A Great Podcast!
What in the world are the one-star folks talking about in their review?! Greg and Patricia offer intelligent, topical commentary in a relatable and enjoyable format. I enjoy hearing their even-keeled responses dappled with tidbits about their real lives. It’s makes the podcast fun and engaging, like I’m listening to a conversation amongst friends. Alongside Political Rewind, Politically Georgia is at the top of my list of must-listen to podcasts, and I look forward to hearing their take every week. Great job to all! Don’t waste your time on listening to the haters.
  • ProPlayer_1
Just another media outlet for the DNC of Georgia
Save your time. Nothing but silliness and insipid blather from a couple of paid Democratic lightweights. I came hear hoping to get some Georgia insight but all I got was the standard DNC line "here's what the GOP should do" "Stacy Abrams is so talented" "Trump tried to overturn the election" I once went to Sioux City SD instead of SIoux City Iowa....Blah blah blah. I wish I could get my 45 minutes back but I can't. You could learn more about Georgia politics talking to an intern for a Democratic state rep than you will listening to this. Complete waste of time.
  • donefinishedgoodbye
    Biased political commentary
Tried to give the podcast a listen as I had heard about it on the Megyn Kelly Show but out the gate the commentary, and reporting was very anti-Trump(I’m not a “Trump fan” at all) and very much left leaning-especially in the Senate race reporting. If you can’t discuss politics without bringing in the word “Trumpism” you have a problem. I don’t want to listen to a bunch of a trump haters who can’t seem to move on-bc those of us who are middle right leaning have already….I don’t read the AJC, and now I never will, but was hopeful for neutral political local commentary, and this wasn’t it.
  • Benj-da-man
    I listen religiously
This podcast is my lifeline to *everything* going on in Georgia politics. Patricia and Greg make an amazing team. The only problem I have? They need more episodes!
  • SkyWalkerDawg
    A die hard Bluestein fan
I read everything Greg writes, watch everything Greg appears in, and now will listen to every episode of this podcast! So great!
  • hadit in gainesville
    You could do it better
A major problem I have with many podcasts, and Politcally Georgia is no exception, is the diction and garbled speech of the presenters. Remember, your listeners can’t see you, there are nosubtitles, and many folks have a hearing deficit. These are good reasons to slow the speech rate a little and speak clearly! A particular grievance I have with Politically Georgia is the giggling and laughing at or about listeners, particularly the segment for questions from listeners. If you are not able to contain your distain, at least mute your microphone.
