Trump is out of office, yet these clowns rather rehash fake news vs. covering the demented blithering idiot that craps in his pants. Jao Xiden was the biggest scam foisted on the American public, yet the hosts fiddles a tune about a President who put America first while the nation burns to the ground. Shameful, but I guess the roughly 26% of idiots who think China Joe is actually prez needs something to keep distracted from reality. This show fills that purpose.

Really gives a serious look and the authoritarian trends gaining ground in the world and the resistance to these bad actors. Could use more economic analysis but still super helpful

Each episode has had me repeatedly dropping my jaw in awe of what I’m learning (and I work in this field)! Ben examines and analyzes the most important issues, trends, and developments that aren’t just defining our current geopolitical environment but will change things for years to come. It’s just fascinating. He also has an amazing array of expert guests, and the production is awesome. A great listen, highly recommend!

Couldn’t listen during the election season because of my nerves, but now that president elect Biden & secretary Blinken will restore liberal internationalism, I am binging the series. !!!! so relieved

Now that Biden has won, I’d love to see further analysis from Ben on what needs to be done to untangle the damage of the former administration.

I had to wait until Donald Trump was defeated in order to listen to this podcast ,which I eagerly downloaded every week. I just couldn’t bear to listen to the string of damages - narrated by an unmistakably heartbroken , albeit hopeful, Rhodes - that Trump’s rule was inflicting on the world , with potentially permanent consequences. Now that Joe Biden was elected, I urge all to listen to Ben Rhodes’ insights. He is, first and foremost , a good-hearted person who uses his vast intellectual skills allied to his extensive knowledge of history , in analyzing the current situation and pointing us out to a change in direction. It warms my heart to see that we still have good, intelligent people who did not give up on humanity. I saw some reviews asking for more podcasts by Rhodes, but I hope he won’t have time because he might be too busy as part of team Biden, laying the foundations for the reconstruction of a new world order.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night, I guess - let’s pretend the world actually misses a world where your weapons and sanctions don’t starve and kill millions of civilians around the world every day.

Please do more episodes. This was great insight to the White House and foreign policy.

I confess I am a huge fan of Ben Rhodes, but this series was informative and inspiring. It’s a great reminder of how privileged we are as Americans, and how important it is that we fight for our democracy. Highly recommend!

Ben! Worldo here. I love the new podcast. I am so far behind on all my podcasts due to kids being home still due to Covid. The first few episodes were amazing and I don’t hesitate to say I’m sure the full series will be educational as well as inspiring.

Ben does an amazing job taking us through the reality of America’s role as a leader. We’ve become a shell of what we were in the recent past. The pod comes off as a narrative and keeps you engaged the whole time. Reminds me of listening to my favorite teacher who had life experience of the subject they teach.

This is one of the more intelligent, thoughtful and insightful podcasts that I have listened to recently. It explains the problematic effect of the withdrawal of the United States from its traditional position of leadership in the world, but also provides a roadmap of how the US can address critical world issues and lead once again. Ben Rhodes is a thoughtful host and the contributions of so many people from around the world to the conversation is incredible. I have just loved this podcast.

Ben Rhodes should not be considered an intellectual thought leader in any sense of the word. His positions on basically every ongoing global conflict is just wrong. He’s a clown.

Remember when our country was led by thoughtful, intelligent people? Ben Rhodes’ informed reporting reminds us that they are still out there, with great ideas and reasons for hope. Each episode gives wise background on the issues shaping our place in the world today, with voices of those who were there and have wisdom to inform our future steps. Such a tonic for these insane times.

Ben is whip smart, passionate and thoughtful. I always look forward to hearing his perspective.

Talking about how other countries are led by right wing nationalist and the liberals need to organize and push back but still be the minority party. Appeal to the masses and fight to be the majority party! How can you not see that you need to appeal to your base and grow a party. Don’t appeal to the right. What the he’ll is wrong with you neoliberals!?

Democrats and mainstream media deserve to lose. Where is the alarm about Russia. Think about this. There is one major country in the world who would profit by the collapse of USA. Russia. Their arteries are not inextricably linked with those of USA. If USA collapses they can step right in and start annexing Europe and no one will be able to stop them. If USA collapses so does China. And yet there is no alarm.

Funny watching Obama’s team talk about a problem that can’t be solved and Trump has already solved it.

Ben Rhodes has an incredible ability to tell a story, teach, and provide insight without the need to add emotional bias that’s become so divisive. Love the part in ep 5 about changing hearts. I’m someone who had gotten worn out by America’s constant role in every other conflict on the planet, however this podcast reminds me what we stand for, why our leadership is necessary in this world and gives me hope where I had little left.

Every episode is relevant, expertly researched and produced, and ends with a dollop of hope. I look forward to listening to Missing America every week! Excellent!

It’s so easy, in the time of two pandemics (structural racism and COVID-19) in the US and the firehose of distraction and disinformation emanating from the White House, to forget that there’s a world outside, changing in response to what is happening here. Ben Rhodes brings the world stage and the players on it to the forefront in this intelligent, thoughtful, frightening, *and* hopeful podcast. Step away from the cable news churn and listen. And then VOTE.

Ben and David Lammy’s insights helped me understand the rise of Nationalism and what steps we can take to curb it.

Please change —the tempo, tone, background, or something on the ADVERTISEMENTS. The show is uni-verbal content heavy with Rhodes speaking through the majority. The absence of change from ad to show makes it hard to listen to the whole thing. I’m unable to auto-tune the ad out bc there’s no transition. My brain tries to process the ads in the same attentive manner it was processing the show. I couldn’t figure out why I loved the show but avoided listening to it until i realized why today. Now, i won’t listen if i’m not doing something that allows me to ff through the ads as like many others, I listen when my hands and eyes are busy. It’s definitely a small issue, nonetheless a big annoyance if you consume a lot of audio content. As a heavy consumer of podcasts, I really appreciate the small minor adjustments some make to create a better listener experience. Thanks and Cheers to helping us in the public learn about & stay informed of the undercarriage for a way of life we all previously took for granted. Ben Rhodes provides unique insight into the results of America withdrawing from the world. Ben clearly explains the effects of nationalism and authoritarianism around the world by our example and absence. Our time now parallels the time between the World Wars in the rise of nationalism and dreams of world domination by other nations, with the isolationist policies of the US in the 1920’s and 1930’s. I look forward to listening to future podcasts.

I would follow Ben Rhodes anywhere! I loved his beautifully written book, The World As It Is and was so happy when he permanently joined Tommy Vietor on Pod Save the World. The writing on this series is excellent. Ben holds my attention throughout and leaves listeners with a sense of hope without shying away from heavy topics.

I listen to a lot of podcasts. All of the Pod Saves, & lots of political news. This one gives me hope in what otherwise feels like a very dark time. Thanks Ben.

Don’t come here trying to accuse Ben of being a neolib. While I disagree that that’s even a thing, if it is a thing, it’s not Ben. Of course Ben is going to present the world through his experience and expertise, but it is SUCH GOOD expertise that we should all take a listen. Ben isn’t some imperialist saying America needs to be #1; he’s saying that the world works better when the world works together, and he’s trying to explain how Tr*mp’s complete abdication of American presence abroad is deeply harmful to us, and to the world. And what we can do about it. 10/10, should be required listening!!!!
