    Patrick comes off disrespectful
I find it very disrespectful at the end of the podcast and Patrick says “girl, we did……what’s it called?” You spent time watching the documentary about SOMEONE’S MURDER; researching it; talked about it for 2 hours; and don’t even have the respect to remember the name of the documentary? It’s not cute nor funny. I enjoy Gillian very much, but Patrick is very loud, shrill, and not nearly as funny as he thinks he is. We get it……your home was broken into twice while you were asleep.

    Patrick afraid of Gillian
Love this but wish Patrick would stop being so influenced by every single thing Gillian says. It’s hard to listen when she has a different opinion than him and he IMMEDIATELY changes his every single time. I like when they don’t agree on everything but lately he comes off so afraid to disagree with her even on the littlest things. Have a backbone Patrick!

    Menendez
🤮🤮🤮🤮to the menendez brothers. IF their story is true, they could have left!! They were grown men who didn’t want to wait on their money!! If you want to hear another take from Dominic Dunne who was there for the trial, I recommend the dune and done podcast.

    Patrick and Gillian-bullies and cheap?
I’ve loved this podcast for so long but since the news has come out about how Patrick is a bully and throws hissy fits and how they are super cheap with their swag bags at shows and rude to people who pay to see them…I just can’t listen anymore. I feel like I’ve found out that a family member is a murderer. So sad. Shame on you both.

Welcome to obsessed and out of touch
Gillian is still under the mistaken idea that this is a “comedy” podcast even though she just screams and complains for the entire episode. Ex. This week, she didn’t bother to google the fact that Lake Mead levels rose steadily through 2023 and levels are at approximately 1076 feet today 🙄

    OBSESSED
This show is such a unique, HILARIOUS, and absolutely fabulous podcast in so many ways. I am obsessed with the banter and wittiness and the interesting stories. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.

    Great podcast!
I absolutely loved the episode i watched. I think you did a great job with all the examples and information you provided. If i could comment, i appreciate the excitement but the way you guys SCREAMED in my ear the whole hour really gave me a headache. Idk if you guys can back away from the mic I'd really appreciate it. Looking forward to all the amazing stories you guys cover moving forward.

    Disappointing changes
I really like Patrick and his ability to look at all sides. Gillian however, goes on long-winded rants, jumps to conclusions, doesn’t allow Patrick to give anyone grace or disagree with her. She’s trying so hard to make everything a statement on racism and demonizing every person trying to investigate. It’s exhausting—and I’m a person of color!! It used to be so much more light hearted and easy to listen to.

    Used to love
I was a religious listener to this podcast. Loved the banter and stories and both Gillian and Patrick always made me laugh. I can’t listen anymore because they don’t miss a moment to say demeaning things about white men. Not all middle aged white men are horrible people and if you are going to stand on not saying stereotypical things about anyone, white men should be included. Practice what you preach. I’ll add that I am not a white man so not the reason I am posting. I just find it hypocritical.

    Secrets of the lake
I’m a little put off by the recent episode as somebody that lives in the area that was devastated by the hurricane in WNC and fairly close to lake lure. At the end of the episode they talked about lakes disappearing due to climate change and they mention lake lure where dirty dancing was filmed. I understand that people are attributing the recent flux of major hurricanes to climate change. But lake lure is still there. Right now you might not be able to do it but they give pontoon boat tours. The lake is officially below full finally. But everything is there. Lake lure is not gone

    Harder and harder…
To listen to. I thought maybe I was getting worn out on this genre…being a Gold Girls and Patrick fan I began listening to Patrick’s other podcast GG Deep Dive and realized I’m worn out on the dynamic between P and G. G is great and wonderful for many reasons but my god; her rants and raves are loud, long winded, and on the fringes of Rush Limbaugh-esque rage. I miss the original vibes and of course things change and grow but I’m not into this change.
  • if DJ gf d
    Less intense, more funny
I miss when it was lighter and funnier…even the dark cases. G is always angry and outraged and I miss her finding the humor in the background. They used to find the ridiculousness, and now they force it. *sigh* I don’t give up on them, but I miss the good old days…

    Seriously the worst
Im gay so I can say this… this is a fad and his hag gossiping endlessly going off on unrelated tangents… these are people when you see in social situations you run in the other direction

Not on the Patrick hate hype train…..but
I adore this podcast but it’s getting downright difficult to listen to because of Patrick. It would be swell if Patrick would let Gillian get a full thought out before responding. But even more so it would be chill if he would stop doing that thing where he goes, “yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, uh huh uh huh…” we get it, he is not listening to a word she is saying, he is just waiting for her to finish so he can hear himself talk some more…or laugh like a hyena. I used to like him, but honestly he has just gotten more obnoxious as the years pass. Gillian is amazing but Patrick is….questionable at best.

    Truly Obsessed
I am not a person who has the time or mental capacity to watch true crime shows or documentaries, so having Gillian and Patrick recap these docs has been a fun adventure. I am able to experience these stories in a way that’s not too disturbing and is overlayed by hilarious and thoughtful commentary, and infectious laughter, which makes is easier to digest some truly awful stories. I love it. I’ve been binging the episodes, starting from the beginning, on my morning walks and recommending it to all of my podcast curious friends. Keep it up, girls! And thanks for your hard work.

    Obsessed with TCO
I adore Gillian and Patrick—I obviously don’t know them personally, but I feel like I do because I am CONSTANTLY listening to them, learning from them, and laughing because of their hilarious banter. I do not like listening to podcasts about violent crimes or assaults, so I intentionally listen to their episodes on things like celebrity drama, art forgery, sports fiascos, bank robberies, collectibles gone wild, etc., and they have plenty of these available for people like me. I have listened to some of their coverage of high-profile murder cases so I can learn what happened, and I so appreciate that they are sensitive about their coverage and do not provide gratuitous descriptions of violence. While their episodes are always funny, they are also very sensitive to the victims and survivors. I am so glad I stumbled upon their podcast and I have told all my friends about them. Thank you Gillian and Patrick for being the wonderful, fun, vulnerable, intelligent you!

Funny, makes my life a little better. I dont get the vitriol directed towards this on some of the reviews. I found this podcast recently, Gillian’s impressions have made me laugh out loud, it’s niche for a niche- if you don’t like it that’s cool, just chill. If they did something terrible and I’m unaware, apologies. But to me binging like 8+ years of shows in the last few months it’s brought me great joy- I recommend it to anyone who loves true crime shows and docs and doesn’t hate screaming

    Gillian is EVERYTHING
Gillian is the reason I listen. I do wish that Patrick was more honest about what went on with the Obsessed Network. It’s unclear if it even still exists. The only evidence of it seems to be Natalie’s LinkedIn? I think the listeners deserve more. Especially since we are still here after the drama. Gillian is perfect and is the reason I am still a fan.
  • Rachy McRacherson
    Love Patrick, tolerate Gillian.
I would honestly prefer if Patrick got a new cohost to revive this pod. Even though I typically agree with Gillian, her constant rants are exhausting. I’ve also always felt she was condescending and dismissive of Patrick when he shares an insight.
  • Sackville77
    Annoying beyond all reason.
These two laugh like imbeciles. What is so funny about this story? No one with any intelligence laughs all the time? Can’t stand these two. Awful.

    We’ll Bring the Racism!
The coverage of the Hart Family documentary and aallll the words about white saviorhood have me like 👀😑🙄🙄🙄. You two are the pots calling the kettles black.

Once a huge fan, now no longer
I just can’t wrap my head around two supposedly-creative writers and comedians truly just recapping SUPER popular true crime documentaries that ALL true crime fans already watched months ago. They are currently covering the Jinx Part 2? We all recently binge-watched that when it came out in April. Why do I need you to tell me what happened in each scene with zero new research or insight? SO many other high-quality crime podcasts to listen to. Don’t waste your time. Just watch all of the heavy-hitter documentaries on your own streaming services and then listen to My Favorite Murder, I Think Not, Last Podcast on the Left or Crime Junkie for new stories and solid research. And now I just came back to edit because they are covering the Laci Peterson doc?!? Officially unimpressed.

    Florida Man Ep
Hey Gillian with a G from Jillian with a J! Fun/weird fact-re-listening to the Florida Man ep— you said you’re scared of doing cocaine. The fact that you have ADHD means your body processes stimulants differently. If you took coke it would likely chill you out like your ADHD meds do. I had friends with undiagnosed ADHD that coke/Ritalin helped them get through college. Just some info! 💛

    True Crime w/ your bestie
Gillian and Patrick are fantastic at giving all the information on the case that you don’t have to watch the documentary, which I love. The commentary is like sitting with your bestie and going over the doc and is everything I want to hear. I truly enjoy the banter between the hosts and the association of the case/people to movies or musicals speaks to my soul. I found this podcast just a few months ago so I am still trying to catch up but I haven’t found an episode that I haven’t loved.
  • OUHaddock
    Broken Harts Episode
Gillian is insufferable with her holier than thou screeching about the neighbors who were actually HELPING THE KIDS! It’s truly unbelievable to listen to her judgmental screaming when those people were actually helping those poor children by providing them food and helping them with their lists they would send them. Could they have called the police earlier? Sure. However, Gillian is a) not a parent & she’s constantly judging parents, b) not been in that situation before and c) weren’t seeing what the neighbors were seeing. Take several seats Gillian, your hypocrisy and judgement is showing and thank you Patrick for speaking the other side because Gillian can’t seem to ever see it.

This podcast has completely lost its way
Once upon a time, this was a comedy podcast. Patrick and Gillian have Flanderized themselves and become unappealing caricatures of themselves. There are basically two kinds of episodes now: silly crimes (listenable) and sad crimes (insufferable). If it’s a sad crime, Gillian turns up the performative outrage to eleven. Every victim is the greatest person who ever lived. Every person who is sad about what happened to them is a hero. She does this really frustrating thing where she refuses to say the killer’s name, I guess to not platform them (get over yourself) but all it does is make it hard to keep track of what’s going on, especially when it’s not a famous case or there are more than two perpetrators. There’s no denying that Gillian is witty and charismatic. But, this genre has pickled her brain. As a result, this podcast is VERY hit or miss by a lot.

    Commercials
I get everyone wants us to go pay on Patreon for ad free, but the # of commercials is shameful. Every 3 min there’s a commercial. It’s ridiculous. An hour show is 45 min of ads. Also, the speed at which they talk can be a bit obnoxious.

    Long Time Listener
I am a long time listener and am seeing some pretty nasty reviews lately. You either love it or you don’t. Yes, they are loud. Yes, they will tell you what offends them. If you don’t like it, unsubscribe and move on without being so negative because you don’t agree with everything they say.
  • Doyouknowwhatimean
    Used to be funny
Now it’s kinda lazy. The self righteousness (G says she would “give most of it away” re: $17 mil lottery prize) and “do you know what I mean” every 10 seconds are just too much. The coverage of the docs is fine enough. Sometimes.

    Listened since 2019
I’ve been a really loyal fan for about five years, but I’ve recently cancelled my subscription and unsubscribed. I really think this show did its best episodes very early on in its inception, it was such a natural dynamic and very “indie” feel to it. Gillian and Patrick made a great duo, but I think over time their “characters” have overwhelmed the true fun of the show. It feels much more scripted, much more cold. I really do appreciate the show for what it was, but now it’s a very corporate shell of itself.

Patrick for the Win, Gillian is a no…
I fell into listening to Patrick during OWD with Ellyn. Love him, hysterical, quippy and relatable. Started listening to this and liked it for a while but I just can’t anymore. Gillian is insufferable. Everyone is racist (ALL THE TIME), she is so negative, rarely says anything positive or real. She’s so interested in trashing police, white people, most men and whatever else offends her that day/week/month. The reviews are starting to show a downward spiral, mainly because she’s so horrible to listen to. Gillian needs to hang up the mic for a while.

    Body in the Basement
This is a hard case. I suffer with migraines- there are times when that kind of pain can drive you to do insane things and completely forget about external factors. I would do anything to not have that pain. All the facts are important- migraine medicines are intense and are chemicals. Marijuana is also a chemical. It is not accurate to play down the marijuana so as not to “throw shade” when it can alter a persons state of being and interact with other drug. Excellent point about certain medications being a blood thinner! MIGRAINE PAIN + RXs + THC + ….can be a lethal combination!

Love these two (and the shows they cover!)
Whenever I need a pick me up, I turn this show on. Love the side quest style banter! It’s like being out to drinks with my irl friends. They always cover stories with the care and compassion the case needs too.

    I am unsubscribing…
After many years of listening. What was once fun banter and interesting recaps of documentaries has devolved into constant lecturing (ex- the episode that mentions Haitian Vodou) and frankly demeaning descriptions of people and things that G and P are not familiar with (ex - the fishing derby episode). It has become overbearing and incredibly cringey, to the point where the hosts barely get through the story. Sad to have lost a podcast that I used to really enjoy.

    Loving It!!
I’ve been binging all the episodes starting from the first one. When I got to “I’ll Be Gone In The Dark,” I had to stop and watch the series. Y’all were right! It was really good! Watching it really have a sense of how difficult what you two do. How do you choose what to discuss and what to gloss over? Y’all are awesome at what you do! Color me impressed! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
