Judy in IndianaWhere is Miss Joan Watson? We always enjoyed hearing a woman’s voice here. I know priests who enjoyed Joan’s explanation. What did you do with her?

Ajay 55Brings clarity to difficult OT passagesFinally, a Catholic theologian, other than Scott Hahn, who isn’t scared silly of the difficult passages of the Old Testament. The majority of Catholic priests religiously avoid preaching anything about the Old Testament or the Psalms because those readings don’t fit neatly into the trite “just be nice to everyone” sermon. Today’s episode really could be said to be a reading of the Old Testament based on the revelations of the New Testament. Well done.

Aggietennis99Truly a BlessingListening to these reflections each day has enriched my understanding of scripture. There is a lot of clarity provided, which I feel is difficult to find in our culture. I also appreciate the fact that historical, biblical roots are discussed. My spirit rejoices! Thanks be to God!

ScottM05Saint Paul Center: Letters from HomeI feel as if I’ve grown so much in my faith from listening to the wonderful speakers from the Saint Paul center who share their knowledge and faith with all of us. But I also learned biblical history and culture, things I never knew that make the Scriptures come alive and make more sense. So I thank you and will be praying for you all. Please keep up the wonderful work you are doing.

Darcy Go IrishLove this Podcast—My “Go-To” in the morningSo much to rave about. The knowledge of the presenters is amazing and I learn so much every day. The breakdown of the scriptures with references to the Greek and Hebrew roots is wonderful. My one critique would relate to when the episodes are released for listening, especially the Tuesday reflections. It is Tuesday the 4th as I write this review and the reflection is not yet available (10 am Central Time). If you could fix that one thing, I would give you 5 stars!

Sweettooth1717WowThis podcast is beautiful! It helps me to open my Bible everyday. Going deep is what I long for. It helps me with my struggles and suffering. Thank you!!!

SEPD27“Letters from Home” - A Catholic’s Companion Guide to Understanding ScriptureSaint Jerome insisted that ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ. As someone who attended the Episcopal Church as a child and then converted to Catholicism in the 70s as a 21 year old, St. Jerome’s words were an accurate description of me. Several years ago I began reading scripture daily, and then I began attending daily mass regularly. However even using a study Bible, I still had “holes” in my understanding of scripture especially the Old Testament books and the Psalms. That is until I found the St. Paul Center with Dr. Hahn, Dr. Bergsma, and company. I am forever grateful to this group who has guided me and continues to guide me on my spiritual journey through the various forms of programming and books they have authored.

Jedi NightsGo deeper into the daily Mass readingsThe main thing I would share about this podcast is that it is one of the deeper looks at the daily Mass readings. I have listened to other insights on the daily readings but none have been this deep in theology and the Catholic faith.

RevPRMDay’s missingI love Letter’s from Home, so much so that I wonder if there is something wrong with my App. At first it was as daily that I got content. But every now and then it is missing. I got no contents for today, Tuesday November 30, Feast of Saint Andrew. I had no content last Thursday, or last Monday. And some missing the week before. I thought this was a daily podcast, but I am not getting it daily anymore. Can anyone explain this. Other then tgat, content I get is 5 Star content.

-
Familie BennettSo thankful for this podcast! It’s so nice to have a podcast that helps you dive into the daily readings or deeply in office reflections to pray about. One piece of, I hope, constructive criticism is that the intros are just too long for a daily podcast like this.

-
MccuriousGreat addition to the daily MassGiven the exigencies of daily Mass for busy people our priests generally limit their homilies to five minutes. These reflections expand the appreciation of the Mass readings for those of us who are less busy and prepared to receive more. Thanks to the St Paul Center for this apostolate.
-
skdeso2Tremendous ResourceLetters From Home podcast is wonderfully done. It is like having a mini bible study right after you read the daily scripture readings. The presenters are scholarly but absolutely personally relatable. Thank you St Paul Center.

smc4jmjSo glad I found this podcastI’m beyond happy to have found this podcast on the daily mass reflections. It’s wonderful and I’m thankful to Dr. Bergsma and all involved at the St. Paul Center for doing starting this as it is so very much needed so we can all understand what scripture is teaching us at Mass. Thank you. God bless you for all that you are doing.

annie g amdgLike mini-homilies for your daily readings!I love getting more historical and theological context for the daily readings! I don’t know if this podcast changed recently; I want to say it used to be that episodes just came out for the Sunday readings... but I hope they keep it up daily! They are all good, but my favorites are when Dr. Bergsma does the episode!
-
