Friend of St PaulSpiritual NourishmentThe content of this podcast feeds intellectual and spiritual hunger. When we know God and his creation rightly, as this podcast teaches, we are able to love him and our neighbors rightly. Sound intellectual formation means sound spiritual formation. The best place to learn about Thomism.

KGNichoTremendous!I listen every day. Thank you! May God grant success to your preaching for the salvation of souls.

1391ThomasticI have learned a ton and enjoyed the podcasts very much

happyinpeoplesworkAmazing podcast and insightsThis is one of the best podcasts I ever heard. The detail in the presentations, the sound arguments, and the solid conclusions are a constant. St. Thomas Aquinas must be proud of you guys!

😒😒😭😭😭😭😭😭🤗🤗IncredibleOne of the best podcasts available, hands down. The Thomistic institute brings you poignant and relevant ideas on the most important topics out there.
-
petera256Very smart - strong content, sip slowly. This is my most interesting find of all podcasts, because this has more depth than 99% of all podcasts. Straight to the point - no fluff - just good speakers, smart topics, and the beauty and clarity of Aquinas hour after hour.

Happy in bedSpeaks to both the mind and the soulI have listened to many episodes multiple times, especially those by Professor Snell. So many salient and topical presentations and all worthy of one’s time, even an episode with a topic that didn’t directly speak to me I found to be very gratifying. I might suggest seeking the talents of Fr Hugh Barbour, a brilliant mind and wonderful speaker . Thank you to all those souls whose efforts make this podcast a reality. I also agree with the review concerning the sound quality - this could really be improved .

a_dumb_oxIf the audio was better it would be 6 stars. This is amazing, please make the audio better I love the lectures.
-
HazHarpoGreat lectures, terrible audio qualityI really enjoy these lectures, but the sound quality is often TERRIBLE. The speakers need to be mic’d, not recorded on a cell phone two rows back. Five stars otherwise.

XoxipilliTitle is not enough!Excellent podcast. I’m deducting one star because there are no descriptions at all. It would be nice to have a small summary/synopsis rather than when and where it was recorded and a CV of the speaker. While I can see the CV being important information for credibility purposes, the rest of the information is not. Please invest in providing more summary on the podcast itself and not unnecessary facts.
-
grincon55Very enrichingI always learn something new by listening to these lectures. It’s a blessing to have such smart people publishing their talks on this podcast!
-
Lourdes11Excellent talksThis podcast really challenges me to pay attention and learn. Excellent speakers. Very high quality

Italian espressoIf you want to live a more integrated spiritual life, listen to thisI approached this podcast because I am very interested in the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas. Did not disappoint. Moreover, across different topics, these lectures show how to integrate Reason and Faith, and helped me better integrate them both in a coherent view about life as a whole. Highly recommended for the philosophically minded, or for those who seek a more coherent, non-secular framework to live their lives.

OutbackpenguinFaith AND ReasonThis podcast is the perfect place to send people who think that faith in god is irrational. It makes clear

Artists libraA wealth of necessary informationI have been listening to this podcast for just shy of a month now. Mostly what I enjoy is relistening to older episodes. However, I have noticed that older and older episodes are now missing. If anyone knows where they are going, please share and point me inthe right direction. Lastly, these discussions have been tremendously helpful in engaging with friends of different backgrounds and beliefs. One could say that I used to speak to family members and friends with the intention of changing their mind about these types of subjects, right on the spot. A more recent development in my discussions with family and friend is that I am much more patient with them and I think about their soul being improved, as opposed to just their mind. It is also worth noting that for some to come and know truth or to come to seeking it properly, time is needed; and love. Please keep this podcast going for those of us who are unable to attend these talks in person. God love you.

Kookookachoo1245679Who knew quarantine would result with a blessingWhile this title may suggest, one has recently discovered this podcast. Instead, the title refers to these lectures being recorded with ACTUAL quality. Because of quarantine we do not get to hear the ruffles of papers from people unseen. Because of quarantine we do not hear the sound of the microphone dashing against an invisible object. Because of quarantine we can actually hear truth unfiltered. Please continue what you all are doing.

Andrew KassebaumIntellectual CatholicismFantastic intellectual content on the Catholic Faith. Much needed in our dictatorship or relativism. Better audio quality on the podcasts would improve the listener experience. It would also help to expand the reach, as the podcast would be more shareable.

Maddie MargaretThe Supreme Podcast of TruthJust keep on keeping on. Y’all are doing amazing work.

ave+mariaSanctifies my mind.Dear TI, Thank you for feeding me & helping me delight in the truth! The breadth of topics covered is marvelous...the Trinity, neuroscience, Dante...I find that these lectures continually enrich my prayer life. They cultivate holiness of mind and help me to love in a better, more ordered way. The luminosity of God shines through your beautiful lectures and white habits (😂). St. Thomas Aquinas, ora pro nobis!

B. T. G.Extraordinary resource of reason borne of faithThe range of topics and speakers is a powerful voice amidst cacophony of the post-modern world. Spend the time (never more than an hour or so) to allow your mind and heart to be nourished.

NaamanTheSyrianGift of the SpiritI’ve never written a review of a podcast. But I desire to do so because of how much insight, truth, and grace I’ve derived from the talks featured on this podcast. I highly recommend it.

peachtea123OP gang rise up!Best podcast, bar none! that’s not opinion, that’s fact!

motel budget innAudioGreat informative channel. Only issue is the audio. Speaker often sounds far away, hard to hear.
-
Robert Henry HoltzGreat Catholic based infomationIncredible resource
-
frantzrtIntellectual, Invigorating, InspiringI’m a long time listener and love the diversity of topics and speakers. The Thomistic Institute is a gem in a world where reason is often abandoned and neglected. I highly recommend! 4 stars because the audio is often bad. I’ve had to quit listening to one episode because of a horrible mic feedback. Most lectures I have to crank the volume, which is fine until applause occurs causing my ear drums physical pain.
-
PilgrimsurfExcellent material, terrible audioMy excitement about each new presentation from the Thomistic Institute is tempered by the likelihood that it will be a struggle to hear the lecture. Consistently, the audio resembles something like being in a classroom with cotton balls in one’s ears while hiding under a pile of leaves. The quality of the content makes this a supreme torture. I hope with all the technology out there, someone will supply a proper microphone and recording equipment. May the Lord provide!!

ddekoldSo encouragingI fell in love with the Catholic Church a few years ago while reading some of the Early Church Fathers in high school. My intellectual drawings to Catholicism continued and I converted last year. I have always struggled with this idea of how to balance and integrate my intellectual beliefs and my daily emotional and spiritual life. Pints with Aquinas and my general knowledge and love of history constantly help me to stay intellectually sound in my faith. However after listening to a few episodes from the Matt Fradd Show, suddenly I have began to notice a surge in my spiritual life in that emotionally I am able to connect to my rational faith. Listening to a humble, yet intelligent, and compassionate host such as Matt interact with guests who have extraordinary ideas and real, genuine faith has been incredibly encouraging. Thank you Matt for encouraging me to orthodoxy, but tempering that with humility and Christ-centered teaching. I am sure that wherever this show goes next, or whatever you do next, you will be a blessing to young people like me who felt alone and conflicted in a wayward culture.

Grateful9Thank YouExcellent
-
Clovis the FrankHere is the titleVery glad that this podcast exists. The only reason I gave it four stars is that not every topic is one I’m deeply interested in (no fault of theirs), and sometimes the audio is... imperfect. Shouldn’t five stars mean a thing cannot be improved? Anyway, recommended!
-
heythankslouOne of the best philosophy podcasts and the best Thomistic oneThis is no doubt one of the most intellectually stimulating Catholic podcasts out and the best one dealing with Thomas Aquinas and the modern world. This is setting the pace.
-
adam from the mountainsGrateful for the Thomistic InstituteThank you for your wonderful effort to bring lectures of outstanding quality to the podcast realm. You’ve shared beautiful insights and ideas with us, thereby enriching our lives and inviting us to a greater relationship with all things good, true and beautiful, and with the Giver of all gifts. Thanks so much!
-
Will7979897Excellent ContentThe Thomistic Institute is an absolute boon to those of us who aren’t living an intellectual lifestyle. I was liberally educated, but took a job in a practical field and my job has more to do with crisis management than studying the higher things. These podcasts keep the intellectual side of my soul fed and I’m grateful for the work this team does. Keep it up!

a miserable fallen creatureGet better micsLots of good content. Some not so good. Good or bad, it’s all very hard to hear. I end up turning the volume up with headphones to understand, but the static is just so grating on the ears, I often give up.
-
Squigmond FroydThe talks are so amazing! But you really need to figure out how not to lose the audio under the background noise in the classrooms.
-
MECGRVery interestingI , intelectual presentationsGreat podcast . The discussions are very informative for anyone interested in theology or philosophy . The sound at times is not great especially when questions asked. Some presenters repeat questions other do not. Overall very good podcast . I think it’s a great learning tool for any catholic to listen to. I would love to have the handout notes in a print out format for home printers . Thank you , it’s a great source to have at this difficult times our church is going through .
-
Meadi8r73Darn the tech!Content is almost always excellent. Sound quality is not always good. Hence, 4 stars rather than 5.

Michael StonikinisA Fantastic PodcastThere is hardly a podcast that is comparable in terms of the quality of intellectual discussion on topics such as Catholicism, philosophy, political theory and religion in general. I listen to nearly every episode immediately after it is posted. For those that aren't Catholic or sensitive to Thomistic theology and philosophy, there is still much that can be gleaned from each episode. This podcast offers topics and conversation that have much more gravitas than something like a TED talk or the like which often feature speakers that are more celebrities than intellectuals.
-
gmfsmfexcellent philosophy/theology podcastThis is not just apologetics! There is so much great philosophical and theological content on here. All those interested in philosophy and theology, or just Thomism generally, should definitely subscribe!
-
Bill from the BronxBig FanThis is really one of the most consistently interesting podcasts available providing talks on the crucial intersection of philosophy and faith. Thank you, Thomistic Institute.
-
DcnAlexBest Catholic Intellectual PodcastThe Thomistic Institute is the best Catholic Intellectual podcast available to us. Unlike other podcasts, the Thomistic Institute casts conferences that present the Catholic philosophical and theological thought without compromise. The individual talks may be difficult for listeners to get into but with time the listener will not get a better intellectual experience anywhere else on iTunes. Please keep this up.
-
PetitPasteurExcellent Catholic PodcastExcellent food for thought for Catholics or anyone searching for truth. This podcast has deepened (and corrected) my understanding of the Catholic faith and is helping me as I endeavor to live a better life. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
-
mmmkileRich Catholic TheologyAs a Lutheran, I do not subscribe to everything here taught, but the lecture topics are nevertheless informative and delightful. I always learn something new and find the presenters very apt teachers. Great work thus far! Thanks for making this resource available.
